Lord help me, I'm 73 and Pheobe had me toe tapping and head bobbing with the opening music. Great fishing, both top water and diving. Everyone's eating good tonight. There was a lot of excitement in this one.
Phoebe! Yes! Love that you are happy to sail in the open air and without ‘racehorse blinkers’ so you can see the wind indicator and the sails. That is THE best way to learn how to sail. For good sailors this idea of sailing in a bubble that covers your cockpit is not living. Feel the wind on your cheeks and you’ll be a pro in no time. (Well sooner anyhow). Invest in some good wet weather gear and use layers. Better yet do a deal with a company to get free gear. Get yourselves a pair of polarised sunglasses and you’ll see the reefs & bomboras sooo much easier. Another great yarn with very cool scenery.
GREAT feedback, Chris! Thank you so much for the reassurance, first hand experience is for sure the fastest way I learn. It’s also cool sailing similarly to the way they would have done it in decades past! I need to get myself some polarised sunnies! Most sunglasses don’t fit my narrow noggin, so I have to find some child size ones online 😂
@@Thenewkidsonthedock On race boats we used to have a pair of polarised boat sunnies we put on just for sailing in shallow water. It’s hard to find fashionable sunglasses that are also polarised.
Phoebe I'm a 66yr old Kiwi that used to love taking my kids to all the raves here in NZ and honesty couldnt keep myself still with your filthy house music 😂 reminded me of how much I miss the 90s so keep playing
Thought I'd check comments if anyone else said somthn. I'm 10yrs younger, 80's will always be my #1 gen, EDM close #2, main source of keeping weight down over the years. As Phoebes was just doing.
@@Lana_WarwickMine was the 70s I'm a rock/ heavy metal guy that's been to live concerts like Uriah Heap, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Lou Reed and massive Metallica fan lost count of how many times I've been to their concerts etc but love many forms of music heence the trance scene
awesome comment, mate, it brought a smile to my face 😄 I wish my parents took me to raves/doofs! If I wasn’t taking our entire audience into consideration I’d be using only EDM…but it’s not for everyone 😅 I figured that I’ve got 20 something episodes already using Latin, jazz, rock, soul…it was about time I sprinkle something with a dirty bassline in there hahaha
@@Lana_Warwick I’m with u Lana. Whilst I love music from various eras etc, ‘80’s music is my fave. What an awesome decade of music ! So many great Aussie & Kiwi bands at this time, with excellent songs etc. From OS, there was heaps of fantastic stuff that was popular in the clubs etc.. And, all of the bands like Bon Jovi & Poison & Motley Crue… 🎤 🎸 🎹 🥁
thank you for that feedback, Sam. We love that we can be vulnerable on this channel and not be met with criticism. Hopefully in doing this it encourages others to pursue their dreams, albeit slightly crazy, like sailing with no experience too! Our journey has been anything but perfect, but we’re learning every day 😄
Thanks very much! Grateful to this modern era we live in where we can access music from all generations & countries from our devices. It makes it super easy to explore and create a broad internet 😄 thanks so much for watching
You don’t wanna know about the footage I left out from when I was listening to house and had the stankiest face on hahaha. Can’t help it, I live for the beat. Thanks for watching Wes, great to see you here! Phoebe
hahahah that’s awesome! 😄 I love my electronic, techno & house music…but I’m a sucker for a cinematic moment too. It’s cool I can explore lots of different vibes through music & videography, and I’m really glad you liked it! Thanks for watching - Phoebs
Guys congrats on finally getting to achieve one of your goals, lady Musgrave island, well done. absolutely love watching your videos ah, been watching from day one episode 1, nearly at 16k followers well done, bring on the next video cant wait

What an episode techno, josh catching an awesome Spanish, the rest of the boys free diving and what a sick Spanish. Berna said good job on Spanish Josh and hi Phoebe 😊
Wow! I freaking Loved this video-so many gorgeous shots captured on the passage and the music was perfect. Water looked amazing. GreatJob on this video. Love-Love-Love your channel. Also, the fish at the end coming to eat - what an awesome shot - that was so cool. PeaceAndLove Lori
Love the instrumental piece, sounds similar to Calypso written by John Denver, instrumental. You guys touch so many! The recognition of ancestors of the land, sea.😄 no talking like a pirate !
You are definitely Not cringe. You are learning, which everybody in the world has to do. I think you are doing great and holding your own when surrounded by men like that. Can't be easy for you but you are doing great. Put that crown back on and hold your head high.
Well what can I say. Blahdee good as usual. Thanks for sharing. I thought the tiger sharks would be swimming around where you were diving.? Anyway, thanks for sharing. Awesome footage. Cheers from across the ditch.
Lady Musgrave feels like another world! The reef is an underwater wonderland. My partner and I sailed into lady musgrave at 8pm in darkness while we were helping someone move their catamaran south. Scary experience definitely wouldn’t do it like that again but waking up in the morning and seeing it in the light of day was an out of this world experience ✨🏝️
Wrong boat for your filthy house music, need one of those crazy 60 foot French racing Trimarans, so the boat skips along over the waves with the same pace as the music 🤣 It's all good Pheobs great things about being at sea is you can play the music how you like it and there's no one to complain 👍
Hahaha too right 😂 Something with a dirty bassline is good for a mono, anything drum & bass or techno needs to be a multi hull situation hahah. Thanks for the comment, Dave. As always it’s a pleasure, Phoebs 😄
Thank you so much! We’re loving the selection on our royalty free music website, I couldn’t believe how many beautiful cinematic pieces there were 😍 I’m glad you thought it was fitting…I was worried it was a bit dramatic but, for us it was a dramatically awesome moment!

I recommend Rush Xanadu but I did find myself under my house listening to Beethoven 6th symphony with a chicken so maybe my choices a are suspect. But our chicken seemed to like it.
Hahahah Xanadu’s a good track! Unfortunately we have to stick by copyright free music for YT, otherwise we’d be playing bangers like that. But sometimes life requires a lovely little instrumental moment, my personal fave is Sonata No. 14 - Beethoven when I’m on night shift, helming under the stars ⭐️ Phoebe
I hope you have seen Amadeus. I had seen the movie and on our second date my now wife and I listened to the soundtrack while I explained the movie to her. I prefer orchestral music. I like to show my grand children videos so they can see how one instrument takes over from another.
Great content so glad to see your progress as sailors… appreciate the fishing/ self sufficiency aspect of your story telling. I know it was hard for you to let go of the “vegan” label but from experience I know the difference between a lifestyle of conscientious choices and convenient consumerism based in the real world and not on idealism and an hijacked ethos of self resilience that leads to control and the lack of self sovereignty
I can’t tell you how much I appreciated this comment, through your wisdom & advice you’ve articulated it perfectly. My love for the planet and animals will always sit at the core of my being, but since expanding out of the label of ‘vegan’, I can see now that there were choices I was making that was causing harm to the planet. Living on the ocean, eating minimally and sustainably and also not needing such large portions, I feel confident that my choices are helping me take positive forward steps towards a better world. Thank you again
Yes, OUR movie 😅 hahah We get our tracks from a royalty free website. I’m a little drama queen so I love a dramatic strings and orchestral piece moment. This one was called “Coco begins his journey” by David Celeste, but I’m not sure if it’s available on mainstream music platforms :)
