Glass-out days on the reef are as rare as rocking horse poo. When I lived in Cooktown we waited 4 months for one of those. O my. My mind is still spinning out with the memory. And what a fish!! Well done, and thanks for sharing that great adventure. 😊
Cheers Bill! They are super special days, our whole season we had our fingers on the pulse ready to go when a glass off was on the cards. We got a few solid months of them, can’t wait to share it. Thanks for watching as always!

Jess that was epic. My boat is a 5.6 2005 Trailcraft and its name , as far as i know from new is " Wahoo" I am a fisho and recently a spearo. I can tell you how keen i am to land a wahoo like yours onto my boat! Your pasta looked awesome.
Incredible - Speechless! You two are such pros. And, I can't get over how gutsy too. Getting dragged by that wahoo in shark territory...you looked like a barrel from Jaws, hah. Totally epic amazing catch. When you need dinghy davits to haul your catch in, omg?! Fyi (cook a huge variety aboard myself) subbing some white balsamic vs lemon juice or 50/50 is a nice change up for brines, sauces, dips, salad dressings (my goto for tahini based ones, especially). I have a bottle > a yr old aboard, still fresh. Cheers!
Awesome Who. I called it for 18kg before you weighred it and thought that would be MAX. What a thumper. Good of you to share it around. Ever made cerviche with Who? I bet it'd be so good. Have a good one. cheers.
Probably my favourite episode so far, the Stoke and the vibes were high all round. Such an awesome fish in a beautiful part of Australia I can't wait to visit. Keep up the good work 😁👌🔥❤️
What a great fish but Damn! What we get for not having the VHF on at lady Musgrave is no Wahoo. We'll definitely make sure we are listening next time we're in an anchorage with you in case you have more to give away. Cheers!
I was about 23 when I went to dinner with my fiancèe at her bosses house and his wife had made a dish exactly like that but it was with salmon. Having pretty much spent my whole life in FNQ I had only really experienced seafood that the reef, shoals and estuaries had provided. So when she brought dinner to the table I was pretty dubious on what sort of a feed canned fish in some spaghetti would taste like. After the first mouthful I was pretty impressed and told her that never in my life would I have imagined that you could make a feed that good out of a can of cat food(what I've always called canned fish) and some spaghetti...well my fiancèe was mortified and I was educated to the fact that Tasmania farms Atlantic Salmon and that it can be bought fresh in most supermarkets. This was in the early 2000's and Atlantic Salmon was apparently all the rage in the fancy restaurants. From that time on her bosses wife serves us Atlantic Salmon everytime we go to dinner there after nearly 20 years I'm starting to think they are pulling the piss out of me...🤣🤣🤣 oh and by the way nice wahoo Ally
Hahaha you definitely get spoiled living off the ocean! That pasta would be great with Atlantic salmon, wish we could spear them. Wahoo will have to do for now 😂 thanks for watching!
Huge Wahoo. Congratulations! As an American when I think of the Great Barrier Reef I think of sharks. When I think of swimming on the GBR I think of getting eaten by sharks. Apparently my assumptions are a little off. Smooth sailing!
