While the world is witnessing one of the biggest Elections exercise, let's spare a thought for those who have been pushed to the margins of justice, conversation & society. They don't think of democracy when it is a trend to do so. Rather, they are the ones who believe in the Constitution of India and are always ready to fight to keep its spirit alive.
To push the boundaries of TH-cam's political content landscape, I sat down with Dr Banojyotsna Lahiri, PhD Scholar, activist and partner of Dr Umar Khalid who has been in jail for almost 4 years.
The conversation went from the details of Umar's case to his Amravati speech, from the media's role to public defamation. Banojyotsna also shared some beautiful stories about their 'long-distance relationship' and her weekly meetings with Umar in Tihar jail.
