Just purchased LED bulbs for my 17 Ram 1500 from sealight. After watching the video awhile back when you installed them in the L8T and recommended them. Thanks and keep up the great videos.
I bought these. No installation video needed. They plug right in. They're not any brighter than my normal halogen. I should note they sometimes flicker. It's noticable when you're at a stop light and there's a car in front of you. I asked what the brightest light this company sells and they said the S7S. Those are listed at 33000lm says Amazon.. but they have other lights that say 55000lm and 88000lm. Not sure why those arent recommended to me they come in 9005/H11 also. But anyway I currently have the S7S which are $120 or so. They in and I'm waiting for it to be dark out to see if they're any brighter.
Thank you for the tutorial video! The link in the description is no longer active. Was trying to determine which model or part number you used for these sea light LEDs. Is there any chance you could post a new link with the lights you purchased for this install? Thank you!
hello, I just been order the High beam SEALIGHT 9005 LED Bulbs and I wonder if for any change this Led flickering after the installation because I been used another brand and and the end they star flickering. Thank you . I have Subaru Impreza 2020
Yeah they say that on all the listings, but they fit our 17 and 21. If for some reason they didn't I'd be blown away, but the old link they said that also.
Is your affiliate link even correct? Your video shows the box saying "Scoparc" (Sealight S2S) yet you link to a product that says "Xenower" (Sealight X1) on the box. The ones you link in the affiliate link say "Light Source Type: Fog" and the ones in your video say "Light Source Type: Light". Also the color temperature is different. To further confuse things.. the pictures on Amazon comparing to the ones you bought look like the Xenower, but your box says Scoparc.
If they flicker, you'll need to return them and get another set. It's unfortunate and I apologize that happened. I've bought at least 50 sets and never had a problem. However I've had some viewers that had flicker. I suggested return and get a new set and after that no issues. They are mass produced and sometimes there can be a booger in the batch.
@@automotiveinquiries9673 no need to apologize. This video was really helpful. They only flicker when the DRL’s are on. Do you think that’ll fix itself eventually or I should just exchange it? Or if you know a quick fix to that let me know. I thought about unplugging them
Hey Man, Just did this upgrade on my 17 base impreza (manual). So far so good; however, I did notice some feedback flicker once or twice when starting the car up cold (car on and idling parked. turned lights on to check them out and then off. When I turned them off they produced a very low flicker that remained) Once I turn the lows on or the highs, the flicker went away completely and maintains full bulb strength. Only noticed this occurrence once and it doesn't occur after driving the vehicle and turning the lights off (while still idling or parked). Ever experienced a phantom flicker from time to time or have you had any other issues in your runtime with them? Bulbs are super bright! Thanks.
Sorry that you had that. I've used probably 100 sets of sea lights and not had any flicker, on our impreza, none. Sea light will warranty them and get you a new set if you want to swap them again. Some say that once they got the new set that the flicker was no longer there. It would be extra time and work, but I'd go ahead and exchange them. I'm not endorsed by them or given anything to say that they've been great. But there is always a chance of getting a set of anything with issues.
Thanks for the response and info from your experience. I drilled the problem down a bit further. So I only get a flicker from the high beam bulbs when the low beams are off and the (parking brake is disengaged). When I engage the e-brake when parked, no flicker, and again all of this is from the high beam bulbs. Super weird. I wonder if the 5-speed imprezas have a strange relay when the parking brake is up to disengage the load. Anyway, I'm considering grabbing some load resistors to run behind the high beam bulb assembly. Have you ever tried this or have any recommendations? Thanks again for the response.@@automotiveinquiries9673
Do you have an updated product number for this car, as I think the ones you demonstrated in this video are no longer on the sea light website. Also if there is a new affiliate discount link I’d be grateful. Thank you.
Sorry, the link you provided goes to a 9005 9006 set, whereas your video shows a set of 9005 and H11 bulbs for the Subaru Impreza. Which is correct? Thanks again
@MrKitzelman sorry about that the link takes you to that set but down below the initial heading you can choose the 9005 oand h11 set. I will get that fixed asap to prevent anyone getting the wrong one.
They make a 7440 in white, that should be the bulb but stock is amber. If you go LED you may run into hyperflash so make sure you get some with built in canbus or resistor. If you just swap with another incandescent bulb thays white. Should be no issue.
@@automotiveinquiries9673 do you have a brand you’d recommend? I’ve been looking online after I went to auto zone and no luck there and I think I already ordered the wrong ones
I’m sorry I know you’re not my mechanic but is there a specific product you recommend? I’ve had to send back two lights from Amazon and auto zone was no help either I was hoping maybe you could send a Link to something you might buy
Absolutely, I'll have a new link within a few minutes, sorry about that. Sealight has been updating the bulbs l, I'll have a new link posted in the video saying new link. I appreciate you letting me know.
Really disappointed in this video. It's like 95% product review/endorsement and 5% how to do the replacement. I know it's hard to shoot in such a tight area, but its a hell of a thing to just gloss over.
I appreciate the feedback and apologize that it seemed like a product endorsement as I don't get any money from this company, it's just a great bulb that saves people money. It was very hard to shoot and because there really isn't too much to get into them I did focus one before looks and after looks and basic install. I'll do better in the future and I appreciate you watching
I bought them. There's nothing to know. They plug right in and work instantly. They're not any brighter than my stock halogen so I bought the brighter ones. Testing those out tonight.

Thank you for this video!!
absolutely, thanks for watching and subscribing.
Aren't LED retrofit bulbs illegal for street use because reflectors are optimized for filament bulbs?
Will these fit my 2024 Impreza
Can 2024 Impreza use this ?
I really wants to upgrade my lights?
Thank you !!
@jjhsu3547 i believe it should be the same on.the sport and base with stock halogens

Got it thanks for your help I appreciate it .i think my car is the basic one
