Just have to say I love your channel, Sandra T.! Recently discovered your ambient Guild Wars tracks as I do homework or work work, and it's really helped with keeping me focused and calm.
The nostalgia of the song coupled with the landscape really brings you back to the beginning. Wonderful job, thank you for reminding me of so many happy times.
This song is so iconic to me. When I played GW1 after years off it the first thing I did was play Prophesies and the nostalgia hit was amazing. Jeremy Soule is an incredible composer
First of all, thank you so much for these videos. This is so much better than just listening to the soundtrack without any ambience! Really brings back the memories. I've got a question. How are you filming these? Are you using some sort of a free camera mod?
Sorry for the late reply :o I'm using the camera tool of GWToolbox++ for these vids. You can freely explore any map with that tool. Btw new vids are in preparation!
@@oneyearreich8521Ah, you have it! Great! To free the camera, simply type /cam unlock. Then you can fly around with WASDZX, and when you're done, type /cam lock. You can set the cam speed too, for example /cam speed 1000 -- it goes down to the sixth decimal should you need it for, say, recording purposes ;) My recommendation is that you look at every single setting the Toolbox offers and activate or finetune those you need. It offers quite a lot and it's a really neat quality-of-life improvement.
I know it's been a couple years since you've posted anything, but I have to ask, how did you get active (in mission) video like this when much of the area, beyond a small portion in mission, is accessible?
Yea I've been passive for a few years, but I've begun filming again so new vids are in preparation :) For this video here, I made a new Prophecies character and completed pre-searing with it; when I had access to this area during the final pre-searing mission, I started to film using the camera tool of GWToolbox++. It's a lovely area! I always loved it. But pre-searing is a jewel of its own anyway.
@@Paradise7D Oh, I've heard about GWToolbox but never used it because I thought it was some form of breaking the game. I had no idea it allowed you to access areas that you normally couldn't. I wonder if it could be used to expand upon Pre-Searing Ascalon north of the wall, and south.
@@MasterOfCydonia It used to be risky, yes, but they removed certain functions that led to your account getting flagged, such as forcing chats, looting chests from far away, or auto-using consets. It's been safe to use for quite some time now. As for viewing areas you can't normally access, yes absolutely -- and there's some neat "secrets" hidden away in some maps that would warrant a video of its own ;)
Yep, like Alburgerto said, it's exactly that :) Ascalon Academy is the only lesser-known part of pre-Searing because you only see it during the mission both of you described :)
The GW1 OST makes me feel sick with nostalgia. Like there's a void in my stomach. So many memories
Servers are still up can just play it a bit and enjoy

Ascalon was so beautiful.

i made a bundle buying and selling Candy Cane shards in the open market areas at winter time.
The heaven sound like this. Thanks!
thanks !
I still remember❤️
oh god i love this
Of course there's a statue of Balthazar in the military academy. Wish it was easier to see these details in the game right now...
Nice video.

yeah !@@Paradise7D
Would I get the effect of the version without music if I clicked mute?
Request unclear -- clarify.
Great video. Was this the mission before the Searing? I'm scratching my head about where this is.
That's the one, yes! Lovely video and editing as always Sandra :D

@@Paradise7D Yeah I guess I very rarely saw this area. I never liked making the transition. I had one main character in Post and one in Pre. Haha
They should bring it on ps5
