Yes, a kerchief, that is perfect for our australian weather! These big shawls are just too hot so yay for this little one.

I have put mine in hot water, in fact boiling water as the cord can take it and leave them in there but don't let the water go cold. Just leave it in there as long as it seems all warmed up, however, many cords still have memory and they return to their previous state so good luck.

I have to say, I knit your Gro Hat and it immediately became my favorite hat. I wear it almost every day and get compliments on it every time I leave the house. It’s beautiful, the fit is perfect, and it’s very warm. Thank you for creating such a wonderful design!

Yes, you can straighten out needle cables! You boil a kettle or pot of water, dip the cord in quickly, then hold one needle up, let the other dangle, and I just use a tea towel to dry it off from top to bottom, pulling on the cable as I go. I might repeat it a second time if it doesn't straighten out completely after the first pass. You can keep repeating this too, throughout the needle light. Just be careful not to dip the join between the cable and the needle into the water, as with some cheaper needles, you might dissolve the glue holding them together, and you'll end up wrecking them.

Hello Happy New Year to you too! I also have felted wool slippers, mine are a paler grey than yours. I so love your new hat pattern, I don't wear hats normally but really want to make this one!

I just spun up a wool alpaca blend in a nuetral with a peachy undertone. I think it would be perfect for the Gro Hat :)

Have you tried Lantern Moon needles? They are wood but wrapped in carbon, I think, to strengthen them. They may be quieter than steel but they're cords are good and don't warp. They have fixed and swivel cords. I think Lantern Moons are often overlooked. Love your designs!

Thank you , the hat is so sweet ... I like to learn new patters, never did that wool wrapping thing. I also have Glerup slippers with cold floors they are really wonderful -I slipped sometimes into my shoes and stepped down the heel now the felting is broken .... have a good moving time, well organized is key (in my opinion) prepared finger food, lots of helpers, Grandparents... little preparation in advance in the new house, no rush and a positive mindset helped me a lot to make it a beautiful experience.

Hi Laerke! Love your podcasts and they often keep me company when I have insomnia and knit away. I’m planning on finally buying some patterns from you very soon. I know you made this hat pattern in one size but do you think you could write a toddler hat pattern for this? Or give some advice on what you would do for an almost 24 month old. I think this would be a cute hat for my niece. I’m always planning new knits for me, my SIL, or my niece now! (And others in the family too)

Lovely to see a podcast from you! I love your Gro hat - I made two back to back and gifted one to my mother in law for her birthday. So lovely. Your small scarf/neckerchief is sweet and I think the idea of scaling it up to make it into a shawl is a fun one.

Dear Lærke, I am so happy for your your new episode. As I gave birth to baby no 3 three weeks ago I have some time holding/carrying/nursing and watch your vlog (5 minutes at a time).
I started the Gro hat last week and I am almost done and I love it 😀! I am holding Ölands ullcentrum tvåtrådig and hjeholts single together and it turns out just perfect.

Just place the cable in a dish with some depth, like a baking pan or rimmed cookie sheet and pour very hot water over. Sometimes I use a spoon to move the cable a bit just to get the kinks out. Then fish them out and attach to your needles. This method works wonders with my seeknit cords.

Really love your patterns. I am a good way through knitting the Vildnis sweater, and will probably follow with the gro hat. The sweater is a delight to knit. I've been a knitter for over 60 years having learned at two years old. So it was lovely to be challenged with some new techniques. The textures are great. I had to close my wool shop last August but now that I've discovered all the amazing young podcasters like your self it is a real joy.

Fåborg will be such a nice setting for a yarn festival, I can just imagine it!! A lovely little town - we had to leave for Svendborg just before the jazz festival last summer and wished we could have stayed, but maybe next time :) I hope you make it to the yarn fest...
Good luck packing up for your move and getting ready, it's always a big job. Thanks for making the time for a podcast!

Hi Laerke! Love your podcasts and always look forward to your new episodes. I was just wondering about a beautiful vest/slipover style garment you were working on. It really captured my attention and I was hoping you would release it as a pattern but I've not heard anything about it for a while. I think it was in your previous episode before Christmas and was maybe in the design/production stage? It was a creamy white colour and had stunning embroidery on it. I really hope that it is something you intend to release because it was simply beautiful
