Honestly, the drama was probably the best thing to happen to spite actually if you think about it. His channel is growing super fast and he has a strong core audience who will keep his view counts relatively high. But really the classy move would have been to amicably split and cross promote spites channel for three months. Help him to a 100k subs and kept a friend. Instead, he went full Chad.

    • @kfiedl3600

@@KSMotoCafe After the porche wreck he didnt really have a means of generating motorcycle content so he would do videos making fun of shitty craigslist bikes n stuff, but that got old fast, so he bought an old Hornet to clean up and get running for content. He took a poll on what to paint the tank and people told him to cover it in hentai stickers, so he did. But ultimately, getting the bike running was beyond his ability...enter Spite. Spite started showing up here or there, helped get things running and made up for YN mechanical shortfalls and inability to ride. This is what makes Spite's firing so f-ing bad. YN was floundering HARD prior to Spite. Spite helped him next level it. I've been watching YN since his first post on his brand new Yamaha R3, hence the Yammie Noob name. Im not saying he owes it all to spite, but he owes at least half his success if not more. Watch Spites Corner, it feels like YN while when you now watch YN now it feels bland and meh. The heavy lifting that gave YN time and breathing room to be funny and creative WAS Spite. It was such a d1ck move and a really bad business decision. IMO they both kinda need each other, theyre better together than apart. Ride safe!

I honestly hope we DON'T see a collab between Spite and Yam. Spite doesn't need it, and Yam would only regard it as vindication.
The best thing we can all do right now is help get Spite up to 100K subs as fast as possible. This will get him the clout he really needs for his channel to start attracting the attention of serious sponsors so that he can comfortably keep on making content full time, and get him on the right side of the algorythm to get his channel pushed and start generating even MORE subs.
When you stop and think about it, Yam may actually have done Spite a favor here. Spite would still just be collecting a paycheck from that egomaniac if this hadn't gone down. Spite's corner would still be an unknown channel, and we'd still be getting a version of Spite that had been run through a Yammie Noob filter.

What got me was right before Spite got canned YN had released a video about their new digs. Spit was stoked about the garage he had helped design and setup and was talking about how much he was looking forward to working on bikes. I honestly thought maybe YN was going to stretch into featuring mods or maybe even start doing customs or whatever. You could clearly see Spite was excited. Then about a week later the video came out of Spite being canned. I instantly unsubscribed from YN and subscribed to Spite's corner. They seemed to work well, together, like well-adjusted siblings, being mutually open, and encouraging, while each respectfully allowing the other to stick-up for their own opinions, and "takes," on various things. I also think that it's good to have a woman chiming-in, on various bikes, since it can act as an encouragement for more women to think about getting-into riding, thus expanding the market.

Here’s my cut and dry assessment. Eric was the “CEO” of YN. Which is completely understandable, Spite is his employee and Eric wanted to keep the money the way it was in the beginning. The problem here is spite built that channel quite a bit and honestly from the viewer POV YN channel wouldn’t be anywhere close to what it is today without him. So I can see there being a contractual problem now. Spite wants to be compensated accordingly and Eric doesn’t want to give up any of his earnings to pay spite more. Personally Eric should have sold out a percentage of the company to spite, raising his salary, but also raising his liability the company too. This way Eric has his money, keeps his golden child to help build it more, and nothing really changes. Spite makes more money and everyone is happy. I just think Eric is greedy, which is what everyone has been saying.

@@al6r725 yea i never knew about the porsche incident. Really only knew their was a bad crash in his past but I didnt start getting into motorcycle content until late 2021 anyways so i missed all that. I think if Spite can keep his relationships with the companies he's dealt with while at YN, I think his channel has potential to grow quickly. The problem is, he helped YN grow to where it is now and probably gave them lots of the ideas for things like giveaways and stores and etc. So if he tries to do the same thing, it will look like hes trying to copy YN. So he does need to keep it original while also sticking to what he does best. It will take time but his channel will do well I think.

A lot of the old videos aren't around anymore, but the Porsche incident wasn't even the first time he acted with a ridiculous level of narcissism. It wasn't his first major crash, either. 10k lost subs for YN doesn't even tell the full picture. Yeah, he's got 1.1 million subs, but most videos are only doing 20k views. That's shit engagement. If a significant portion of those 10k lost subs are from those active viewers, that's a real problem. Also, despite Spite "only* having 60k subs, he's getting 20-30k views per video, at least since last week. So he's basically already pulling in YN level of views, but with a much higher engagement percentage.

    Great video.
Spite's going to come out on top of this.
Every ounce of effort he and his friends put into his new videos will be going to him and them.

Yammie reads and he sees it.
But to his credit, his recent content is showing a renewed emphasis on connecting with other riders.
I think Spite may well become every bit as big as Yammie is for a completely different reason.

I know the low gas light works, but I never ran it until it comes on. It’s only several dollars to fill up for me, so I fill up frequently. Usually when I run 60-90 miles, I’ll fill up again. It’s usually a gallon or two at a time for me. But I cruise slow and take my time, I don’t run over 60-65 mph on the interstate. I've been following Yammie since before the Porsche incident. All the people say that Yammie wasn't gonna go to 1 milion subscribers if it wasn't for Spite are wrong, he had a plan that started when he decided to start the giveaways, and even before that he was one of the top dogs in motovlogging on youtube. I like Spite but if it wasn't for the last video where Yammie said "go subscribe to Spite's corner" he would have never gained subs so quickly. Probablly some from the drama of him disappearing from Yammie noob.

I too had been subbed to YN in the earlier days (before the Porsche crash) and I agree that Spite isn't the sole reason for the channel's success, but the business decision to hire Spite was keen because it allowed YN to grow with his audience. The sophomoric moto-bro approach that got YN on the map 7+ years ago is less appealing to the bulk of his subs these days, so featuring Spite brought a more mature style which also let Eric do his thing to an extent. I disagree that Yammie telling people to sub to Spite's Corner was a huge boost.. I doubt many people made it to the end of that video due to the cringe factor. I'm guessing that most viewers (myself included) subbed to Spite's Corner way before the end of that video.

firing spite and saying theres no spots to keep him at Ym, then hiring an intern to do that job shows yammie/eric didnt want to pay Spite the amount he is worth. spite got me into Ym not eric. i know whitney and josh are becoming very popular over there so if this happens to them down the line i wouldnt be suprised. Yammie shouldve just come clean about the real reasons why he fired him and i think peple wouldve repsected that more then some bs lets make a vid and shit on you.

Spite was about the only reason I was subscribed to YN. I stayed subbed for a few days after this all went down, but the YN videos are just not interesting. Dude isn't interesting... He comes off like that guy at a party who tries to insert themselves into conversations going on around them and make those conversations about themselves. I legitimately feel like IRL he would be one of the few people that I just cannot stand to be around.
And Spite... well, he seems like the kind of guy you could just have a beer with and shoot the shit. His videos come across as well researched and coming from someone who is experienced enough to know what they are talking about (or capable of educating themselves when they don't), but humble enough to not think they are some sort of rockstar.
Like you said, this isn't going to kill the YN channel, and months from now most of his audience probably won't even remember it. But hopefully months from now Spite's channel will be going strong and I can say "I was here when he only had 2500 subscribers" lol
