    Your voice can help end homelessness. If we do not fix the affordable housing crisis, homelessness will continue to get worse. Click here invisiblepeople.tv/getinvolved to tweet, email, call, or Facebook your federal and state legislators to tell them ending homelessness and creating more affordable housing is a priority to you.

      This is heartbreaking. The rent prices are at minimum $1500/mo, and even if he got on Housing assistance, he couldn't afford his share. Democrat controlled cities are all looking the same. God bless this man and the many like him

      There is definitely enough greed. People screaming about people getting an extra 600$ a month for their unemployment benefits right now. That’s what’s keeping some people off the street...
      There is always a reason. Trump just reversed affordable housing rules... like dude! And then said so the house prices will rise in their suburbs and the crime will go down! Hahaha this is actually going on right now! He is taking care of everyone! Right. And when he said he’ll drain the swamp he didn’t mean corrupt politicians or whatever everyone thought. He meant he’ll help the poor die faster!

      @Last Minute Prayer Your idea is great! It's just if you don't have money or power or even the right connections, then none of this can happen. There are so many things the government itself can do to help. In fact, there are hundreds of things and yet they aren't doing anything. It just shows you how greedy this world has become. I live in Bradford England and in my town there's a large abandoned mall (in fact there's two, just a few metres away from each other). Trust me when I say they are HUGE. And it's been left empty and standing there for over 13 years, possibly more. A lot could be done with it, it wouldn't be hard to renovate and I know that there are people in my area that have so much money, they literally throw it around. And yet there are so many homeless people (especially ex-soldiers) on the sides of the streets and they're prevented from going in at all costs. It's barbaric!

      Mikael and who glorified drugs? I know, because I’m guilty to admit, I’m a baby boomer, of the counter culture of the 60’s: turn on, tune in, & drop out! Timothy Leary , that buffoon philosopher, the stupid counter culture! Wall Street & NY marketing media saw it & took to the bank ($) by selling us sex, drugs & rock’n roll! Now look what we have baby boomers who believed this crap that they could do better than their parents by creating a Utopia, of no commitments, throw out responsibilities, throw out God, smoke dope, take drugs, multiple relationships, raising kids with no boundaries who are more dysfunctional than their parents, & grandkids lost in violence or killing themselves because they feel they don’t have a purpose or entitled! The counter culture elitist created this mess of leading the vulnerable down an abyss who believed in the 60’s Utopia. And this is the result, these adults who couldn’t cope with reality of having to conform & grow up. You notice how a lot of rock musicians aren’t reaching real old age?

They’re eligible but they have no way to cash it without some kind of id & if they do, they’re rob as fast as they get that money! They are robbed all the time everyday , all their self dignity. Keep watching theses videos & see how many talk about being robbed all the time out in the streets.

    Awww I just found this video, it's a year old already. Is this sweet man still amongst us? He seems like such a good kind hearted man. And this is how the USA treats their veterans?! Shame on the system. I'm in Europe, it's not perfect here either but the veterans are treated with respect and with care. I wish I could help.. But I'm 65 now and don't even live in my own home anymore. It doesn't matter the place you're living in, all human beings deserve the minimum decent life and treatment. Especially veterans.. I feel so sad and outraged seeing so many precious people living on the streets. And disregarded and looked down on by other citizens. Be humble people!!! And kind. You never know what's waiting for you around around the corner. It can happen to any one without warning. The least you can do, if nothing else, is to give some kindness and human warmth. We are all brothers and sisters in humanity and should support each other in the manner given to us. It's the same topo here in Europe.. Sending my Love to you warriors. Keep strong and know you are heroes. ❤️

      THROWAY BYE The real question is what kind of person he was before becoming homeless? The reason I am saying this because most people don’t pay attention and don’t care until it gets them. You are saying that he will see God, but will God justify killings of innocent people who were just trying to protect their land? I am not trying to be mean, but most of the time soldiers are just puppets. The same people who sent them to wars now made them suffer living on streets. Or perhaps this is how God punishes people who were killing other people. There is difference between defending your country and invading foreign countries.

Look at our degenerate society drowning in drugs and materialism. Look at our socially isolated and depressed and unfriendly "culture". We lead the developed world in mental illness. Look at our crime and murder rates that are among the highest in the world. Look at our health care system where we pay 100-200 times what the rest of the world pays for health care. America the greatest? LOL!!!! Yeah right.

    I don't mean to sound pedantic, but where are the children and step-children he supposedly raised now? Had he raised them well, not one of them would have allowed him to spend 16 years being homeless. No excuses here possible, because out of all the kids he said he raised, at least one should be capable of helping dad. (At a minimum, his kids could have helped him file paperwork so that DAD can get housed, while housing him in the meantime....It apparently hasn't been done and/or successful.) ALL of his kids should be contributing to his care insofar as possible, in any case. Family values are non-existent in some cases, and this has to be one of the primary factors for homelessness. I hope at least one of his kids reads this comment, and gets his/her DAD off the streets.

    • @ilikeguacamole9699
      @ilikeguacamole9699 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We have no idea why. He could have easily run his family off. Or been isolated from them because of some past traumatic thing/things he’s done to them. I’m not disagreeing with you but this like all scenarios is probably very complicated. It’s probably not a coincidence that every single one of his family members is not helping him.

    My wife and I have been homeless sleeping in a train for twelve years in N.Y.C. If you don't develop a sense of humor you're a goner! One thing would help; if you would lend a helping hand, not staring at your cellphone and give a little help and not to the hustlers who are always pitching!

      Nila My wife is disabled without disability and I am retired collecting S.S. and S.S.I.65. I can't work because I am my wife's caretaker. The shelters are impossible and even rooms go for more than 800$ a Mo. if they will rent toa couple (which we can't afford) We rest well most nights in the train but it's not like sleeping on a bed. I can't go anywhere where I would need to drive either. The hustlers have ruined begging for people who are really in need. Many years ago we did not have youthful hustlers all over but now it is at epidemic levels.

My life will be happy even if I can understand 20% of what he has understood!

    This is unacceptable. How can we call ourselves civilized is what i read in a previous comment. Great question. Thousands walk by him and other thousands of homeless daily. If everyone either gave money, or offered a hand up in some way this man would be off the street. We look away as A society. We bustle by. To busy to be bothered, or just repelled in general. If compassion was as prominent as anger in most people's lives, no one would be homeless.
