Wow!! Wow! Not enough words to express my gratitude for uploading this piece to TH-cam. Back in 1985 I watched this (on PBS if I recall) and I had only one quest: to "own" it. I called, wrote Rhombus Productions, and eventually obtained a CD of this performance. Then in 1986, at a World's Fair in Vancouver (Expo 86), the not yet famous Bobby McFerrin was humbly performing as the first act of a concert by Tito Puente and his latin band. Pobrecito (Poor guy), even if the crowd had purchased tickets for the "big ticket" him and his band were, during the show, all the eyes were on the scat singer who had joined the public in the first row. It was so obvious that McFerrin had stolen the show, Tito Puente had no other option than him to join his musicians, themselves mesmerized. And the rest is history. I had the CD, now I have the pleasure of sharing this magnificent recording.
Magnifico!
