The rift gems lockout feature sucks u literally have to play with a friend to get to level 7 and there isn’t even enough to get to agent smith
I've heard from other creators getting Agent Smith is impossible. Rifts have such a bad reputation. Idk how they're gonna handle rifts moving forward
@@J5TNyeah the rifts are pretty problematic and it sucks how I can’t even grind for agent smith outright.
Also about the joker versus Batman challenge through the daily login you get a Velma graphic T skin for joker. Which allows you to complete one of your final challenges. Might be too late for that though
I didn’t mention but you get the skin through daily login for free still kinda annoying of a task in any case imo
i got level 7 without playing with a friend, just did the daily rift gems, and no you can't get agent smith YET and it even says get him 2 weeks early on a July 20th release date, so next update we for sure getting the rifts required to unlock the character
@@sxazon8360 bruh they didn’t need to have a gem level locking all the rifts. If the higher difficulties need higher level gems to help beat them anyways. Plus it’d be more impressive to beat some of them with lower level gems
as someone who paid for the founders edition during the beta on Day1 i didn’t really realize how bad the monetization was since the game was practically free for me (All Char unlocked, BP, Perks, etc.) but this shit is disgusting and ai blame WB. It would be something you could call a nitpick for monetization in a f2p game bad, but it becomes more than that when the game itself isn’t in a appropriate state for a full launch. i’m still having fun with the gameplay but i want this game to do better
I could get past the prices if they didn't lock challenges behind skins. I've never seen that practice before so it's so strange to me. I really hope they make changes to the gameplay and the game itself or the game could fail like the beta eventually did.
It's so depressing looking at the "official" release of this game, even levelling up your own characters to their max lvl (15) is so unrewarding compared to the Beta. Hopefully in a years time it will feel like the beta again which I doubt or it will just die off and everything they did would've been for nothing.
It feels like all the beta testing was for nothing considering they removed or changed so many things that were in the beta like the perks or the original game speed. I agree hopefully they can update the game over time but if they take too long the game could fall off again
I was gonna download the game and this changed my mind. The grind needs to be worth it.
At its current state the grind is definitely not worth it in my opinion. Especially if you're just now getting into the game. It takes way to long to unlock new characters so unless you like the free playable characters they have in the rotation at the time, the game can be pretty trash. Hopefully they can tweak issues like these though because the gameplay has potential.
@@J5TN I bought 7 characters in S1 and Joker is the only one for 6k so it's like I got enough currency to buy 8+ characters. There's 27 characters but you get Shaggy and Banana for free, Smith is grindable and Jason is from BP which is also free for beta players. So that means I would have 10 characters out of 27 (or 11 if I didn't buy Joker) as a new account just by doing dailies and weeklies and I still got leftover currency because I unlocked everyone and there's nothing else I can do with it. I don't really see how this game is more grindy than any other f2p game where you buy characters.
I stopped playing because I can't get efficient fighter currency after completing all my missions 2 weeks ago and the balance is dooky because they don't even know what kind of gameplay they want to encourage. I only play when my buddy has time to play and that was a week or 1 1/2 weeks ago.
The whole fighter currency is a stupid idea imo. The grind is so rigorous just to save up enough for 1 character. Everytime they introduce a new patch someone gets busted or every new character is almost immediately OP and busted (Banana Guard). I agree they really don't know what kind of gameplay they want.
I absolutely agree with you. They killed the game with the real release and I’m so upset, sad, and disappointed about it. I really liked this game with the beta but now with the release it’s a huge grind and less rewarding experience than the beta and sadly this game is most likely to be dead sooner rather than later😭😭
What sucks is that Warner bros most likely pressured PFG into releasing the game before it was finished. I love the concept of this game and I really like the different characters that they could potentially bring to this game so I really do want the game to succeed. But like you said the game itself has become such a grind and feels pretty unrewarding. Hopefully they're able to update the game and fix a lot of these issues. If they don't the could fall off even faster than the beta did

Omg yes! I might make a vid talking about this idk yet. But im a big DC and Cartoon Network fan. That's a big reason why I think the game is a cool concept. There's so many characters the community would love to see and have been asking for but it seems like PFG have been adding in either random characters or characters to promote Warner Bros projects (Like Black Adam during the Black Adam movie).
Another issue is that when they release these new characters, they're usually busted??? Like tell me why out the gate Banana Guard had a side charge that was so OP. Everytime I faced Banana Guard, all they did was side spam. I want them to add more characters already since the characters we currently have are starting to feel stale. But im worried they don't know how to balance very well.
This 100% have WB fingers on it. Like the beta was the PFG vision and now is WB cash grab
same thing happens with weekly challenges, last week FOUR of my challenges were hitting jokers bazooka's attack. its beyond taking the piss at this point
I’ve been signing in doing the dailies. I played all the riffs by myself, basically in an hour for all of them every different one when they released😂 and I’m still only at level 65 at the battle pass, I should’ve maxed this out already but I’ve been going to work. I’ll probably have it done in a day or two but at the same time it’s only to see what they give you after you prestige why I’m grinding so hard. I want to show everybody that it’s not worth it and that they don’t have to stress.
Sadly, I don’t see the time limit as something negative on most of what they were doing. If you didn’t make it, you didn’t make it and that should be a incentive to play the game instead of using it to balance out the crap that makes it bad, but hopefully in the future, you can tell the difference between someone who is grinding in season one and someone who just bought the game besides badges Special skins that you missed out on and stuff like that like in Fortnite would be great but I think they’re too money hungry for things like that
Man the grind for this game feels so unrewarding with how long it takes to level up, especially in the battlepass. I dont think the devs even bothered considering people got jobs or school or just other things to do. Really seems like they wanna push the idea of having to give them a few bucks everytime you wanna progress in the game like when they lock challenges behind skin requirements. Hopefully they can tweak issues like these tho or people aren't gonna wanna grind the game and it'll just fall off like the beta did.

This unfortunately has Warner Bros written all over it in terms of shops and overall purchases for this game. Player First Games while I’m not sure have any part to these transactions also have faults with constant bugs and especially the state that Iron Giant is in with his infinites. It really sucks and I share absolute distaste for.
Finally, for fighters, I think it’s unfair to only have one fighter unlocked upon playing for the first time when it takes forever to get another fighter with the fighter currency. I recommend that they at least have three fighters for you unlocked at the beginning, each a different class. This could just be Shaggy, Reindog, and a third free choice for you after completing the tutorial. It really sucks grinding for so long just to slowly unlock each character one at a time. At the very least lower the fighter currency down to like 2k or something. I’m not using gems that are worth like $20 or over just for a single fighter.
I totally think it comes down to Warner Bros pushing this monetization model along with pushing the game out in the state its currently in. For new players only starting with shaggy is really lame especially with like you said, how long it takes to unlock new characters. It's also pretty trash that for local play you don't get to play every character, you have to unlock them all. I would hope they change the fighter currency because at its current state its so bad. Just hope8ng they tweak these issues so I don't have to watch this game fall off like the beta did

I've never seen the skin prices for Brawlhalla but some people have been recommending the game in general to me, maybe ill take a peak at what it's got.
The battlepass xp was also awful on launch, it was nearly impossible to finish the pass for free until they updated it. Its decent now but still for the average player it would be extremely hard to finish this pass without purchasing levels due to the low xp given. I posted about it on reddit and everyone had a hissy fit that i had a valid complaint about the game
I totally agree even now the battlepass is difficult to grind through. It seems like they really wanna pressure people into feeling like they need to pay to progress in this game.
Also yeah its a mixed bag when bringing up issues with the game like these to the community. Some will agree and give good feedback but some people wont even consider the issues and tell other people to "get a job" rather actually discussing the issue.
I don't think they tried to be greedy about the battlepass. The game was clearly rushed and the rewards were just as badly balanced as rifts and PvP. Now the battlepass is super generous, you can just do dailies and easily finish it and have enough time to grind the infinite rewards which also sometimes drop gleamium which is just super OP.
This game is complete 🗑️🚮 I deleted this piece of 💩 when they took out combo extenders. And yeah this game is hella scamming and scummy your speaking all facts you are hitting the nail on the head this game is straight 🗑️🚮
Taking out combo extenders and slowing the game speed down was so trash! We spent all that time beta testing it and then they threw away all the features we tested for them smh. Thanks for checking out the vid!
The quest systems is awful, quest that you have to use certain skin, or "play with the joker" which cost double the amount of other fighter is stupid.
But i do like and enjoy Rifts, its a nice casual gamemode to play and have progression with no stress, fun minigames and stuff, BUT PLZ FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET ME SELECT THE DIFFICULT THAT I WANNA PLAY.
The easy and normal dificuties are not challenging enough, but in order to play in highers dificulties i have to grind, siriously i just unlock the joker rift in the hard mode, but it took me over 3 weeks (i work, and play other games too, i can not dedicate my life to play a game that might die soon)

I agree to an extent because they should have a bundle to buy all this stuff or at least make it to where you don’t have to spend $100 per character for some skins this is coming from someone who bought a couple things in beta, but didn’t buy the founders pass because I didn’t see the point. I had a whole bunch of coins and knew I never needed them and some of the skins weren’t for me but now it’s like wow $25 for a shaggy skin$20 for a joker skin that isn’t a skin it just has a mask I don’t know something isn’t right
The prices of skins are pretty wack imo especially when there aren't many skins I find worth the price tag. Normally I wouldn't mind since I understand it is a free game, but the fact that the beta was a better game than what we were given, makes it hard for me to want to spend money on them. @@J5TN fax I know how it be it’s a free game free if you want to support it you do that if you bought the battle pass, you supported the game enough back in beta what they’re doing is to try to support their group probably build their team and of course, make a little bit of money for their WB overlords, but at the same time it’s too early for this type of monetization. I wouldn’t mind some of these with voice actors included the shaggy skin I get it it has a different voice actor, but everything else matching that price tag almost is ridiculous and there is no real bundles like the black lantern bundle should be a thing all of black lanterns, everything every character with the hockey mask bundle even if it was $20 would be worth that because it’s just a mask over a basic default skin. There’s nothing creative about that it’s not worth five dollars but I totally get it charging people for gens in riffs OK but at the same time, the only thing that I give them that they did right is 50 Cent for 30 toast I think that’s fair if you want to be a good player, fair player and you have some extra from the past or something you’re just giving out toast but if you’re new and you worked hard for it, it’s really rare and you wanna toast your friends, so that was cool that they did that

I waited a year once a couple bugs during the first month but at the same time I don’t want them to scare everybody away with the bullshit they’re doing this was a great game. Continue to make it that because at this rate I see why it wouldn’t make it to Evo this year.
@@Kingcaligar I feel that, I'm definitely gonna try to stick with the game and see where it goes. I love the different characters that PFG could potentially bring into this game (I'm a DC and Cartoon Network fan) and I see the game has some serious potential. Just gonna be up to the devs and how they handle the issues of the game to see if it succeeds.

Keep in mind they usually give you those special challenges if you have the requirements for them. Like for example I gotten a Steven Universe task (I don't own Steven.) which I was able to do because he was on my cycle.

The game is designed in a way where as long as you actively complete your challenges, you can do upcoming rifts that require usage of certain types of rewards through the free rewards for the challenges

We spent all that time getting use to the perk system, game speed, and combos. Then the devs just slow down the game speed, remove certain move sets, and gut the perk system at full launch. Makes it feel like our beta testing was for nothing imo. I wish we could go back to the beta fs

Your challenges weren't refreshing because those are the final 2 challenges for the event.
I wholeheartedly agree the event missions should not be behind paywalled skins. With that being said - let's not act like the developers are the ones setting the prices here. Skin prices were a big pain point in the beta as well - Tony won't outright say it (probably because contract), but WB is the one that calls the shots when it comes to monetization. I hope in the future they realize the skin requirements for missions won't fly well with anyone. Like the jellybean ringout you mentioned, if there's ANYTHING not in your locker that you had in beta - just send them a ticket man. They've been very open and honest about reaching out to them to make things right about missing items.
I truly think the devs were rushed & a bit overworked trying to completely move this game to a new engine and get it ready for launch when it did. It's very clear there were deadline issues (like most failed games at launch in the past few years) and they're doing their best with what they've been given from the publisher. The perk system is obviously unfinished and in desperate need to for a rework or a removal - i'd be totally cool with them just removing perks besides the character-specific signature ones (I doubt that'll happen given the sheer amount of perk points they give you though, which makes me believe they'll most likely be adding more in the future).
At the end of the day, yes, the game is far far far from perfect. But - aside from event missions - there isn't any "scam" as you call it going on. Nobody is making you pay $20 to have a blue alien jake skin or whatever. It's all cosmetic (and I hope they KEEP it that way and move away from requiring skins for event missions.) They didn't remove items from lockers "on purpose" to make you buy it again - read any of their launch twitter posts about it and they are very aware of the issue and have & will continue to do right by the players. I love WB property, I love platform fighters, and I love the transparency and open door they have with the community as developers so I will continue to support the game & see it through. We haven't even had our first major patch yet - there's a lot to come.

I have been seeing people lately contacting PFG about missing items with good feedback so I may have to send them a message.

Multiversus is the only game that I’ve played where the Beta was infinitely better than the “Official Release.” What they decided to release is a joke in comparison. They gutted it so much, there’s no end of match statistics anymore, they got rid of the “weakened attack” mechanic that prevented people from spamming one move over and over by significantly decreasing damage and knock back if you used it 3 or more times in a row, they took out free for all and all other game modes they had previously. You also can’t change characters anymore if you want to rematch someone you’re stuck with your fighter until you go back to the lobby, the non-character related perks are worse and not only that there’s less to choose from now. There’s also a glitch that never happened to me before in beta but happens at least once out of every 20 games, either a person gets stuck in the map and is unreachable/can’t die and has to wait until the match is over for it to be fixed or in 2v2’s after someone dies they can’t spawn back in and if everyone is dead you have to wait for the time to run out or someone has to close multiversus. They decided to change engines to give us a better game but beta felt much smoother, more responsive and less “framey” than what we have now. Most of the changes they did were to welcome more casual players but no casual player wants to grind to just unlock one fighter then repeat the process for anyone new. On top of that they’re doing overpriced cash grab bundles. If they wanted to do challenges with skins I think it should be its own exclusive separate thing instead of lumping it in with regular challenges, it would give people more incentive to buy skins. The game is too incomplete for them to be this money hungry.
Which I can completely agree it’s crazy that the learning curve from beta to the release was so steep, and they took away everything that made Multiversus different
They took out most of the gameplay we tested from beta (The speed of the gameplay, Certain Move sets and Numerous Perks). Makes it feel like they went back to an Alpha rather than a full release

Ive heard so many beta items are missing from inventories. People have been saying that they had to contact PFG in order to get their items back.

Oh no I totally understand they gotta make money amd I was given free currency. But im saying like for someone starting out, only having shaggy or the free rotation characters kinda sucks. The grind for them can be a bit excessive which could hurt them when trying to retain players. But don't get me wrong I want the game to succeed, im just pointing out things they should be careful about

Not sure if the issue was me not completing them on time since I did the challenges everyday. But maybe that could've been the issue.
However the issue im trying to highlight is the fact that they're locking challenges behind skins which is not a good practice in my opinion.
For the graphic tea challenge you were supposed to unlock Velma or wonder woman doing whatever they were doing during those times they were free
After reading comments im seeing you could've gotten one of those skins but for people who didn't grind for those, it still kinda sucks imo

This game is greedy sure, but a scam, really? It's a free game dawg. This game is not unplayable it's in fact incredibly enjoyable and yet people keep insisting this game cannot be fixed.
No totally agree. They game isn't a scam, mainly just some greedy practices most likely forced onto them by Warner bros. Could be them pressuring PFG to release the game incomplete which would explain why we got the game in the state it is currently

the game is FREE yes it will be a huge grind to earn everything free must be a glitch in your game i didn't buy a skin and got it also you can buy all the jason mask skins separately if you look at your characters cosmetics
For some reason during that even I couldn't buy them separately as I show in the video. But I checked today since someone in the comments also mentioned this and now I can buy them separately again 🤔.
Even if the game is free. It still doesn’t explain how I played for 2 hours straight with no challenge done and I didn’t level up once in the battlepass. Wasn’t even halfway. 20xp per match is a joke

To be fair, you're conplaining about needing to buy a lame skin for $5 to unlock a lame skin that's $5. It's totally your choice.

I was mainly trying to emphasize that in order to get a Free skin I would need to pay $5 for another skin. Locking challenges behind skins is pretty wack imo
@@J5TN Yes, them locking challenges is pretty horrible of them, but it's also our job to put them in check for these sorts of things and have them correct it. I personally feel like they could use these rifts to make us want to buy these costumes and reward us bonus gem experience for wearing them.
@@blackjam2683 I feel like that would be such a better use of rifts. Currently rifts have a wonky reputation as they can be kinda boring, couch co-op doesn't work for rifts, and aren't rewarding to play in general. I think reworking rifts to offer better rewards or even skins would be a great move
