You nailed it brotha, there's lots of videos on yt where they do it wrong.. and i do it the same way you do, maybe fix the pads a little bit lower tho to be safer in tackles

I just ordered the Nike crew sock and some cheap amazon grip socks
@@tygovanbragt8111 AK's personal preference is indeed the Nike Grip Strike socks. For the purpose of this sock, he opted to go for a sock that's familiar with EVERYBODY - just to highlight the point of having your own socks.
I personally don't tape the shin pad itself. For me the tape at the bottom where I've cut the sock holds the shin pad up for me. There are lighter shin pads tape that you can get to specifically wrap around the shin pads rather then using sleeves though! // AK ✌️

Hey man! Why do people use tape and not ‘guard stays’? Is it just a case of having more options with preferences? And what wrap do you recommend using? Thank you 🙏🏽
It's honestly just a case of preferences. With tape you can get a more customised fit in comparison to guard stays. But if you're using tape, you've got to make sure its not too tight otherwise you'll cut of blood circulation to your feet!

Your shin pads may be too small which means they're sitting on your shins incorrectly. Or it could be that their too big and are sliding cause friction burns. Our advice is to make sure you get the correct size.
