Leaving them in the husk also makes the corn taste so much better.

I've cooked corn in the microwave in the husk, but never thought about doing it in my Foodie. Our home grown corn is about to come in. Will definately be trying this!

Thank you. I just used your method for cooking corn on the cob and it came out perfectly. The time saved by not needing to husk (and pick at those pesky silks) is so much appreciated. I will be having corn much more this summer than I had planned on thanks to this fool-proof and super simple recipe.

I had tried some white corn on the 4th with a new way of cooking it.The directions were to boil water first with lots of salt as they say corn will not be salty tasting but the salt brings the sweetness to perfection. It was delicious .
I think I will try ur suggestion tomorrow as it looks so easy and less of a mess. Thanks so much for sharing

It’s that time of year again..corn season.. I had to go back to this video since it worked so fantastic last year. I like to have corn on the cob all year so I cut this in cobbettes, ice bath shock it, then freeze it up. I pop it in the microwave when I’m ready for fresh corn all year. Your method saves me so much time.

Looking forward to this I underuse my 6 quart instant pot. Mostly because for my family of six big eaters by the time I make sure I have the headspace not feeling it above the max level and stuff do not feel like I have enough food in there. Particularly stews and that kind of stuff. But could utilize that size much better just doing some of the main items and right now I have almost got corn ready to head for the table

Second corn video I've seen today. One of your TH-cam competitors has a better method of removing the husks and silk. He forgoes the silk end circumcision, but does perform the operation on the stem end, just as you have. The corn is then cooked. When ready, using a towel or some sort of heat protection, he grasps and squeezes the silk end, forcing the corn down and out the stem end. The advantage is that most of the silk is at the distal/silk end, so more actually comes off by pushing the corn down the husk. It's brilliant. And thanks for the pressure cooker tip. I'm an instant pot junky, and you've just given me one more reason t use it. And I believe we have corn for tonight! Thanks so much!

This might have been asked... is the cooking time approximately the same from 4-8 stacked corn? Or should one add a min for stacked? I have an insta pot but love the versatility of the ninja. A little out of my price range for the ninja but what I've seen you do makes me want one. My fav was the pot roast.

I just made corn last night and zero silk. It comes off with the husk. Even if there was some on the corn, it’s cooked and can be removed much easier than uncooked. I’ve been cooking corn this way for years, it’s so much easier. We had a farm when I was a kid and mom grew corn, I’ve definitely husked and de-silked my share of corn. Never again! 😊
