I've been making these for many many years. One of our family's favorite appetizers. For whatever reason my husband and son prefer a saltier dip instead of the sweet and sour so I make a sesame dip that I learned from a Chinese couple about 30 years ago used in their restaurant . It's a base of soy sauce, sprinkle of sugar warmed up then a dribble of sesame oil. I just make about 1/4 cup of this since it doesn't take much for flavor. Definitely going to give your s&s recipe a try. I've never made it with pineapple juice before, only orange.

Your crab Rangoon look so pretty. Here in St Louis they fold them differently. Your homemade dipping sauce is much much better than the packets Chinese restaurants have. I am craving them now!! 😍🙏

These look amazing!! Just a little tip I've used before that makes cooking with corn starch a little easier, if you blend it with sugar you'll have no lumps 😊

How is that Chinese food? Because it is associated with Chinese restaurant? If it were sweet and sour slop I would understand that or chow mein icky. If they like fried and cheese they will like it. I'm not seafood fan. Huge hot mustard lover as long as not prepackaged hot mustard.

I was just in MD, visiting my absolutely divine sister, Ellen, and the day before I arrived, she mentioned that she and my bruh-in-law had just come home from shopping at one of the Amish markets around the way, and oh, my DAMN, I knew what THAT meant for my visit.YES! Fried pies, bangin' bacon, just EVERYTHING! And, trust and BELIEVE, it didn't disappoint. But, she brought home something she normally doesn't. Seafood salad. I was kinda sceptical, but, Bay- BEE! Unbelievably delicious. I love real crab, too. But, the surimi(imitation crab meat) was so fresh, and not overly sweet like you sometimes find, that I don't believe real crab could have made it any better. Real talk! (the real baby scallops, shrimp didn't hurt, either 😂 😋) Anyway, I had to put that on Front Street. Have the best day... EVER, Shimmy. 🌹(I do believe that I wore out the word "real". Didn't I... REALLY, though?🤔)

I like your flower method of folding and closing them; they don't explode like the ones that are folded and sealed on the edges; and I agree that imitation crab is just as tasty as real crab and 1/4 the cost. You make the dipping sauce exactly like my late mom used to with ketchup and when she taught me, she said the ketchup was only for giving it the orange color. That part brought back memories. Great recipe and demo!!
I really like the variety of recipes Siri shares with us. Like this one is an easier one but I didn't know how to make them. They look delicious and pretty with the flower shape. Thanks for including the dipping sauce and without food coloring is a bonus. 💕
I make a sweet and hot sauce. 1 cup sugar 1 cup ketchup ¼ cup of white vinegar ¼ cup of lemon juice 1ts ground red pepper (optional) 2 drops sesame seed oil Mix all i engrediants, heat and stir constantly until sugar no longer has a granular consistency. Cook for around 6/10 minutes to a slow boil . Remove from heat. Add to stirfry or use as a dipping sauce . It will thicken as you heat it.

I use imitation crab in a crab dip that I make, and it's delicious. There's nothing wrong with it.

I've had wontons stuffed with cabbage and hamburger...left overs make a wonderful wonton soup...yum. Will eat a wonton any way it's made.
