  • Beating Elden Ring's DLC for the FIRST TIME! Eldens Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has officially come out and man this is quite the adventure. With an enormous open world map, many new and challenging bosses, and incredible special weapons containing powerful ashes of war. Now I figured the best way to review this content was to just show you my journey through the game while talking about the various things I liked and disliked. So I guess the ultimate question is, can I beat Elden Ring's DLC for the first time? Let's find out.
Elden Ring is a 3rd person action RPG where you start as a lowly tarnished and grow into a god slayer legend. A vast world where open fields with a variety of situations and huge dungeons with complex and three-dimensional designs are seamlessly connected. As you explore, the joy of discovering unknown and overwhelming threats awaits you, leading to a high sense of accomplishment. In addition to customizing the appearance of your character, you can freely combine the weapons, armor, and magic that you equip. You can develop your character according to your play style, such as increasing your muscle strength to become a strong warrior or mastering magic.

The pest threads Incantations DESTROY the fire golems. The threads do great but the thread spears stagger with one point blank cast, no buffs.
So far the only helpful tip I've discovered!

Dang, Mesmer is probably one of my favorite bosses.
His moveset brings me back to nameless king, tho that might just be bc he has a cool spear.
I played through elden ring a ton prior to the DLC, so I understand how it can be frustrating to not be able to dodge anything without learning the proper direction and timing. They play around with it a lot in the base game, but the game rarely actually punishes you too bad if at all for not dodging in the correct direction. I think they need to do a better job in their next title to help get players to understand where to go, because it really just is trail and error. At least with learning the timing of a dodge you can just kinda look at the move, maybe get hit by it once or twice and you know.
Consort Radahn tho has to be one of the worst final bosses from soft has ever released. he has one attack, that aside from parrying, the only consistent dodge anyone has found involves equipping a specific talisman and back stepping his first swing. sometimes due to the weird arena and how tall he his, you can manage to duck under the hitbox, but I've tried all manor of timing and direction and nothing works for me consistently.
and the visual clutter is insane. divine dancing lion already has issues with how readable his attacks are due to his flowing cloth, but I don't think it completely ruins the fight for me like it does with Radahns second phase.
