    That's a cool rig for sure but the cut and fold is great for causing rust issues, cut my rear 1/4s out completely and welded in some 1/8" plate,works great and no worry about rust.gonna do a reverse mini tub on mine next for 35s get more room then the cut fold on the rear wheel wells

    Looks awesome! I’m going to try and fit 35s with a 3.5” lift on my 2-door XJ. Pretty much am going to have no up travel.

    What gears are you running in order to turn 37s. I'm looking at changing from 33s to 37s this winter on my 99 xj but I have the stock gears right now and stock shafts.

    • @lol123321123321
      @lol123321123321 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      5.13s is as deep as you can go on stock axles. It used to be 4.88s. I ran 4.88s with 33s and now 35s. Also it's a ax-15 5 speed. I'd want 5.38s for 37s personally

  • @undefinedglory6661

    He needs to fix the angle on his rear shackles. Should be at a 45° angle towards the rear of the jeep.

    • @VehicleTribe
      @VehicleTribe  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      undefinedglory6661 yeah he is aware of that. There are some fine tuning to do still.

    • @yerwrng
      @yerwrng 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You fix rear shackle angle by adding a rear cross member a link bridge and 4 control arms in a triangle configuration... you don't put money into leafs .

    • @ssouthboundpachyderm
      @ssouthboundpachyderm 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah yes every xj must have a four link or else it’s crap yes?

    • @yerwrng
      @yerwrng 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ssouthboundpachyderm no but spending a ton of cash on leaf springs when its super easy to link the rear makes leafs a waste of cash

    • @VehicleTribe
      @VehicleTribe  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yerwrng don’t know how your Math works, he is using the same Leafs from the previous lift kit he had, only purchased the shackle relocation from RC that is around $200 and welded the U-bolts eliminator kit (very inexpensive) in total he spent less than $350. Now, you compare those $350 with over $1.2K that cost a true 4 link with the cross member and coil springs? Don’t know you but I would definitely stick to the leafs for now until I get enough money to upgrade.
