      I was born in Minnesota, and my memories of my childhood are quite dear to me. I especially liked how one could go into a lake (in the summer) without worrying about alligators. I did fall through the ice once in the winter, shallow thank goodness, but that's a small price to pay for the peace of mind knowing that the Good Lord put winter there to kill off the bugs and the prehistoric monsters once a year, to keep them from growing TOO large.

    We had a 8 footer that lived in the lake behind my house for about a year and a half. He was never any trouble, very nonaggressive. No one was dumb enough to feed him or let their dogs run loose near the water. He was never a threat to anyone, I sat on my patio and would watch him sunning himself on the shore about 40 feet away and never even tried to come closer. Unfortunately a freaked out snowbird had a panic attack about having a gator in the water and called a trapper. As he was over 5 feet long he ended up gator bites somewhere. Not too many of us were exactly happy with the silly ---. Can't deal with our animals then stay away from here, we were quite happy coexisting with Alli. Any body of water down here is likely to have at least one of them. Remove the dominant gator and eventually another will take its place. We now have two smaller ones and one larger that has been in and out of the area a few times.

      I don’t care who was here first, why we don’t have issues with dogs or cats for example? Because they don’t do any harm to us. Alligators have their own territories and we are protecting them there. Humans have every right in earth not stupid alligators who will attack you and try to kill you.
      This woman didn’t try to kill this animal but if you have it the other way around the alligator will attack her. I will kill any alligator I see infront of me without thinking about it and save others from any harm.

    • @koriko88
      @koriko88 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@travistravis3620 We don't have issues with dogs and cats (generally) as well as livestock because we've genetically modified them through millennia of selective breeding to be relatively harmless and docile. I live in Florida, and gators will not bother you unless you bother them first. People who get attacked almost always got too close and either dismissed the danger or weren't paying attention. The world is not a sanitized product, and just as you can't eliminate carjackers and muggers, there are also dangerous animals in the wild. You can't be afraid to leave your house.
      Everyone who has grown up here knows that any body of water must be treated as if there's a gator in it. However, gators are much like sharks - they don't really prefer people and many people regularly swim and boat in water with gators and never encounter a problem. People tend to over-exaggerate the danger due to fear of monsters.

    • @TomF18
      @TomF18 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@travistravis3620 - Alligators’ ‘territories’ have been greatly reduced, thanks to human development. It’s idiotic to just automatically destroy what you’re irrationally afraid of. This isn’t ‘Lake Placid’. Everything in nature is intertwined, and nothing causes an imbalance like human stupidity, whether it’s through pollution, overpopulation or indiscriminate killing.

    Ужас какой! Я с России, с Северного Кавказа, у нас тут горы, леса. По городу только лисы бегают, у меня во дворе лиса и кошка вместе ели с одной миски. Есть кабаны, но они по окраинам города ходят. Мне страшно смотреть, как вы там живете, а если вот такой крокодил и маленький ребенок, ужас. Мне лучше в моей России жить, без крокодилов. Девушка храбрая, я так не смогла бы.

    Well done. I might have taped his jaws shut and then gotten my lazy husband to help me carry him to the pond to avoid the concrete dragging, but as for that, the gators hide is pretty tough. It might have been a bit easier, but again, good job.
