- Repair of a Dell Optiplex small form factor desktop 54440, with no display. PC came for windows installation, customer powered it off while running updates and PC lost display. while fixing theres random chats about issues we face as repair businesses.
You may already be doing this but make sure you record any serial numbers/unique identifiers found on the PCBs or relevant components and take plenty of pictures so you have irrefutable proof that the motherboard (in this scenario) is the same one that the customer handed over to you. Yea we already got a software update for our booking system that allows us to take pictures, videos and scan serielnumber of devices while booking and have all the information in the booking ticket. Anyways I'm happy to see you on the channel and will keep posting more repairs to help fellow technicians out there.
