I had the same fault on a asus Tuf506IV, works on charger, works with a charged battery, but the battery would not charge... it ended up just being the 1st input mosfet that was shorted, I replaced it and it worked fine

this is a clone of the logitech shifter just a heads up..... and if u reverse ever fucks up u can just make the pole connect to a wire and a wire underneath works lol. its basically just connecting like a button works.

I am having the same issue you had with the fan going at max speed and unable to be controlled with software or even replacing it with a new fan as well. How did the fix turn out 2 years later?
