From The Archive: NSCN Chief Th Muivah's Speech on 14 August, 2015

Five years ago in 2015 when Government of India extended peaceful solution to Naga People with a Framework Agreement, they took it with hope and open arms. Nagas consider the Agreement historic and looked forward to with a positive note.
But five years on and the talk continues to go back and forth with no absolute result. As per reports, the last leg of the talk is going on currently. However, we have seen a lot of mistrust from the part of Indian government. The solution is being anticipated by the Nagas with hope and skepticism. Hope for the best solution for their struggle.
Nagas declared their independence on 14 August 1947, a day before India. Since then, they have unfurled their National flag every year. In 2015, August 14, soon after the Framework Agreement was signed, NSCN celebrated Naga Independence Day at its headquarter Hebron, Dimapur in the presence of over 5000 people including both national and International media. NSCN General Secretary Th. Muivah's speech was watched closely for details of the Framework Agreement.
