Pearler received a kind mention from the Barefoot Investor recently, and he’s quite picky when it comes to financial products, so that tells you they’re doing something right.
Thanks Michael for being a consistent source of quality information! Greatly appreciate your work and the positive impact you're having on the community.
If you were to make regular investments of $1000 p.m with 50% being split into two seperate etf's (e.g VAS & VGS). As part of the auto-investing feature would the broker fee remain at $9.50p.m or would it be $19 p.m. Cheers.
@@michael_ko hey mate. If I want to invest let’s say 1000 a month split between 3 or 4 different ETFs on auto invest would the brokerage fee be 9.50 total or would it be 9.50 for each etf?
Great video mate, really enjoying watching your videos. You've mentioned margin lending in a few of your videos, and I would be very interested to see a video of yours comparing different margin loan providers and maybe do a video comparing the top five. Love your work increasing the financial literacy of aussies everywhere. Cheers.
They do seem to require a minimum investment, because when you buy shares you cannot just buy one share, you have to purchase a min of $100.00 worth of that particular shares. So there is a minimum investment that requires to be made but no minimum deposit that needs to made, but this does not work when you buy shares. eg: If you deposit $10.00 it is deemed useless as you cannot buy anything, as the minimum purchase for any share is $100.00 even if the price of the share is $5.00 per unit.
So there is a risk if you buy shares on a custody platform? What happens if you buy a ETF and the ETF provider goes under? Since the underlying shares in a ETF are held on custody. Superannuation is also custody isn’t it?
Hello, what do you think of this statement on pearler webpage: "We may suspend or remove access to the site at any time. We are not liable, for any reason, if the site is unavailable or any functionality of the site is restricted or impaired." is any concern of losing your investment?
Can you please make a video on STOCKSPOT VS PEARLER Autoinvest as i am getting confised. Looks like STOCKSPOT is little bit too expensive witj a fee of 0.66%. Thank you
Just signed up in Pearler and following you.. I’m currently holding my ETFs with CommSec pocket and Commsec.. but wondering that any transfer fees will be charged from CBA?
Hi Michael to take advantage of Pearler‘s free ETF trade. What kind of Vaneck ETF will you choose to invest ? Does Vaneck offer something etf something like VAS and VGS?
Hey man I cannot set my auto invest to less than 500$ . It says according to my choosen strategy and numbers of shares to invest, my minimum is 500$. Can you please help with this. Thankyou
This was an awesome video. Would love to know what you think about the Investing for a minor section on Pearler. Haven't been able to find out much about exactly what type of account it is, and how it would affect Tax, as well as Capital gains Tax in the future. Would love to use the same platform to do this type of investing, but the information is low.
Hi Michael, Thanks for sharing. I love the auto-investing feature. But what I want is to invest $3000 in just 1 of my 3 etfs each month, let's say $3000 in IVV in Jan, $3000 in VAS in Feb, $3000 in IAA in Mar, $3000 in IVV in Apr, $3000 in VAS in May, $3000 in IAA in Jun. Will Pearler be able to do this? Thanks.
Being new to investing and with an overall plan to opt for passive ETFs, would you say Pearler might make more sense over stake? Im interested in US ETFS too which is why I was looking at Stake to begin with. Thanks in advance, love your content mate.
Love your valuable content, Michael! Thank you Question: do you have any suggestions on platform/app to easily trade US stock options here in Australia?
No problem! Yes you can use a few, personally I am using Stake at the moment as it has free brokerage. Heres a referral link and you will get a free stock when signing up! hellostake.com/referral-program/?referrer=hyunsukk359

@@michael_ko I have just set up an account with Selfwealth and Pearler and I was planning to make use of the 5 free trades on Selfwealth in the first month but after that transferring my holdings to pearler as I prefer their Auto-Invest feature. Hi Michael Really good video. I would like to make a 1 time investment in 3 or 4 Vanguard ETFs and probably leave it untouched for a few years. It would be in a Family Trust. Is Pearler the way to go or should I use other brokerage. Your information is fantastic Cheers Lou
Hi Lou, thanks for watching and the feedback! In regards to your question, I can’t directly advise but I can say that Pearler does support Trust accounts and they are CHESS sponsored so your holdings are quite secure. Hope that helps
Hi Michael Your information videos are really good. You say in this video that you can move existing ETFs into Pearler but if my ETFs are already with a no fees broker is there a point to transferring them? Also if I only make random long term ETF purchases how does the broker make money? I think that brokerage is good value for what they provide. Your quality videos are great. Cheers Lou
Hi Lou, nah no reason to transfer if you don’t want to. Only benefit is if you prefer having all your stocks centralised in one place. At $9.50 per trade I suspect they still make some money on the trades. Its not clear if they make money other ways though! Thanks for watching :)

Have you moved the investments from spaceship to pearler as well?
Can you do a Pearler vs Stake?
Can you auto reinvest dividends on pearler

As long as they are ASX ETFs they will be CHESS sponsored via Pearler :)

How do they make money??
When you actually sell it, if you keep holding it, the share manager pays on the holders behalf first.
And also 9.50 for shares and plus other fees for us shares
Blah blah blah …is this a paid promotion ?
