What’s worse is that thanks to people like her, there is a shortage of it at the moment and Diabetics who need it aren’t being prescribed it in the UK because of the shortage. So because of people like her and her vanity, people who really need to lose weight for their health can’t get it on the NHS. It’s a National disgrace and if our government had any clout whatsoever they would have ring fenced it for people with clinical need only like they did in Australia.
When the camera panned to her, I was shocked. She doesn’t look well. I’ve had cancer twice in the last few years. When I lost weight, my husband said I just didn’t look like myself because of my appearance. We hope she’s alright.
Older women also need to be VERY CAREFUL losing so much weight. With osteopenia and sarcopenia affecting older adults, and especially older women, it is not such a great idea to become so skinny. If she ever goes to hospital, she might be classed as "frail" and then not looked after properly (sorry, joke!). The sad truth is that she took Ozempic because she did not think she looked good enough before. No, not everyone wants to be skinny. She now looks like my sister who has had anorexia/bulimia for decades and has many health issues because of it. Not something to be copied. I would prefer for people to eat healthily, exercise, sleep well, meditate, enjoy spending time with your friends and prioritise health over weight on the scale.

you are actually right, a doctor told my grandmother that it's better to have a little weight "in reserve" vs being too frail when aging, it helps provide protection against nutritional deficiencies and other illnesses. The body isn't able to fight illness if there's nothing in reserve,

Ozempic caused a friend of mine to become very sick. My friend was taking it for type 2 diabetes and developed gastroparesis that has taken two years of her life away from her. My friend has just been able to go back to work part time. She still has times where she has to be in iv to be hydrated from vomiting. It is a dangerous drug and has killed a woman in Australia who took it to lose weight.
Let's not pretend here. Something is worryingly wrong with Sharon to have let herself get to this weight. I hope that someone sensible is trying to assist her OUT of this state. It's my opinion and obviously, she is the mistress of her own destiny.

my 60ish neighbor was around size 16, one day looking out back i saw what looked like a small skinny child of around 13, low and behold it was her. I asked what happened and she said she was diabetic and on ozempic, she said she was at 75 pounds and still going down. She was also taken by ambulance to the hospital for passing out. I didn't know anything about ozempic last summer, my other neighbor said they think shes got cancer and lying about the weight lose, well her son took over the house and i haven't seen her around there since moving out. why would she still be on that drug causing her to fade away
Wow I was really shocked when I saw her. It’s tricky… it’s really not unusual for older women to want to lose weight. My nan went though a serious diet phase. You can’t control people perceiving you as older any more, can’t control your health or your husbands health… your weight is one of the only things you can control. I think being THAT skinny is shocking but I guess it all depends on how healthy & confident she feels

This is especially because Sharon Osbourne herself implies that one of the obvious reasons fueling probably both the attention on her dramatic body transformation and what she utilized to get there (Ozempic) partially stems from western societal norms with being skinny.
I like her, but I hope no one is telling her she looks good because it's serving No purpose encouraging this madness in people using these shots so irresponsibly. This is not healthy, she does not look well.
WARNING!!! My took Ozempic just 2 injections. Only 2 very small doses. It nearly killed her. 2 weeks of uncontrollable diarrhea. 2 weeks of vomiting. Her face blew up like balloon and her throat swelled shut. And severe abdominal pain. Her doctor recommended an ER visit. It's been about 2 months now and her digestive tract is still compromised.
Her head, ears, hands, feet all look exaggerated in size. It's sad to see. When will people realise it's ok to be in proportion for your skeletal frame and no doubt, healthier

If someone is OCD about their weight, and you take the weight problem away, then it leaves a void there. What they fill that void with is a roll of the dice... alcohol, promiscuity, etc., ..... something will fill that void.
What people don't understand with this medication yes it's for diabetes but for people who are obese and are already trying their best to lose weight with diet and working out but it's not enough this medication helps suppress hunger. For me I gained weight because I need to be on steroids for the rest of my life after being diagnosed with a serious rare autoimmune disease. Ozempic is helping me to lose that weight that i gained since starting the steroids, while I'm on a diet and working out as well. I'm taking it under the supervision of a doctor the specialises on food disorders. And I'm only taking it till I lose a certain amount of weight after that I have to continue to lose it on my own. I'm being very responsible about it. Ozempic is helping me Save my life. Not everyone gains weight because they don't care and start eating really badly. And I'm not just using Ozempic, I'm trying my best with other things

What a silly lady. It's one thing to go too far with plastic surgery, but it's something else to take a drug meant for diabetics to lose weight. I'm type1 diabetic, and when I hear of bodybuilders injecting insulin in order to gain muscle mass, it makes me furious. I wish I had the option to take an injection or not! Diabetic free people should NOT be abusing drugs meant to help people. It makes a mockery of us folk who are genuinely ill!
I work in Diabetes in the UK and I’m actually appalled that our government didn’t ring fence Ozempic and GLP1 therapies for Diabetics only. Now there is a shortage and those that need it can’t get it thanks to the shallow vanity of these so called “celebrities”.

I didn’t recognise her. I’d just watched all Sam Bailey’s 2013 performances and Sharon looks nothing like she did then. This isn’t cool.

This is what happens when you make so much money that you are consumed not with world hunger but the way your face looks. Any wrinkle and these people lose their minds. I don't wish bad on anyone, but she shouldn't be sticking her hands in the cookie jar (taking meds not meant for weight loss) but you can take it because you have so much money you can buy your doctors. I wish her good health and wish these Dr's prescribing wrong meds should be fined and possibly lose their licenses.
What a silly lady. It's one thing to go too far with plastic surgery, but it's something else to take a drug meant for diabetics to lose weight. I'm type1 diabetic, and when I hear of bodybuilders injecting insulin in order to gain muscle mass, it makes me furious. I wish I had the option to take an injection or not! Diabetic free people should NOT be abusing drugs meant to help people. It makes a mockery of us folk who are genuinely ill!
I work in Diabetes in the UK and I’m actually appalled that our government didn’t ring fence Ozempic and GLP1 therapies for Diabetics only. Now there is a shortage and those that need it can’t get it thanks to the shallow vanity of these so called “celebrities”.
Obesity IS a disease! Why is your disease any worse than someone else's? It's not just for diabetes. Many drugs have multiple uses. Learn the facts. People who only need to lose a little weight like Sharon shouldn't probably be taking it. It's meant for those who are truly obese and have been having trouble most if their life. It's not about will power or being lazy It's actually something in your brain along with a variety of factors.

She is a wonderful lady. She might be healthy and because she lost a lot of weight, she looks a bit ashy. That happens because especially if you are older, the skin will not have the elasticity to shrink back in the right way, so it will look wrinkly and dull. But it's her voice that I see has changed the most. Her voice sounds older and frail. Like something is not right. I wish her the very best, she surely deserves it. She has gone through so much. ❤ ❤ ❤
