Streng genommen ein Maseratimotor. Die Nocken beim Ferrari sind im 90° Winkel, beim Alfa 120°.
Zwei völlig verschiedene Motoren.

i drive daily on the autobahn and i will say the mentality of the drivers on there is completely different compared to other places in the world, they know to look honestly most relaxing driving ive ever done was at 250km/h + on the autobahn that is comparing it to say dutch highways
It is like a known thing in this part or germany doesnt mean how fast you are move to the right lane bcs there is still someone faster than you and people on the right lane dont have why to move on the left if the road is clear in front if they are driving normaly i mean

Torque at hi revs=HP. But this car has more.. much more potential. If you can tune it with slightly bigger turbos, injectors, larger fuel pump, cams and some ELH (equal length headers), this thing could EASILY have at least another 300HP+. This is what I am going to do.. looking for a Giulia VQ now. But we only get the auto in the USA

Only if you're willing to have more turbo lag and abismal fuel economy, not to mention you'll need something stronger than the 8Speed ZF, it can only hold a maximum of 800 NM of torque

That's some insane acceleration.
Yeah, it's very VERY easy to pass someone and find yourself at double the speed limit without even trying because you're focusing on the cars around you and not the speedometer because not only is the acceleration so brutal, the sense of speed in the QV is greatly diminished because the car is so planted. It's absolutely balanced and confident at any speed I've used it at.
I've had mine up to 165mph (on a closed circuit), and can honestly tell you that it felt no different than 80mph, except for the wind noise =)

@@arttafil6792 Alfa is not the same anymore, in the sense of reliability. They've improved a lot the last 15/20 years. Sure, they're still not the most reliable brand, but most german brands are not as well. It's mostly the Japanese manufacturers who can claim to be the most reliable, except when it comes to rust maybe.

Naja gut, auch wenn manche Fahrer auf der Autobahn den rückwärtigen Verkehr nicht sehen bzw. sogar ignorieren, sollte man trotzdem nicht so nah an den Vordermann auffahren, sonst gibt es irgendwann mal Probleme oder einer der Fahrer kann sich als Verrückter beweisen und das gleiche bei ihm machen oder im schlimmsten Fall einen Unfall bauen. Ja, das mag jetzt vielleicht sehr spießig klingen aber man unterschätzt die Gefahr beim Drängeln sehr und das kann schwerwiegende Konsequenzen mit sich bringen.

Driving seemed fine, driving in Germany is different and they used to respect lane discipline much better due to the sheer speed difference. It seems that these days you get more and more idiots hogging the outside lane for getting to move out the way, or not doing it quickly enough.

What I love the most on what this Giulia means, is that surprise to see (after decades), that Everyone was still waiting for her - and they have literally celebrated this new Alfa excited like kids!
I have a Giulietta, 120 HP 1600eng, easy stuff - even if I've tried far more powerful toys, the sensation that car is giving to me is still unmatch, if not with other Alfa Romeo.
Here my take: if love cars, just test drive Giulia, then it's all on your hand!
I am a big Audi fan but this Alfa is a manual. OMG in this day and age a real driving car. No paddles or electric cluthless shifting.
One vehicle in this video is the epitome of driving emotion and is bought by those with refined taste and respect for automotive history. The other one is an audi.

As far as I know Nurburgring is the only recorded lap for this car, and that's about the least scientific of all lap times, but the Giulia was significantly faster than the rest of the sedans on the Ring.
Pretty sure the M3 and RCF are the slowest, with the C63 AMG and ATS-V bringing up the middle, and this is king of the speed hill.
Dolby 109 pretty sure the m4 gts trashed the giulia just a few days later on the ring.

That's because in Germany and other countries the left lane is ONLY for passing and not for constant driving at normal speeds and anybody caught driving in the left lane at normal speeds will get sited a big fine that's why they all know to always be on the rear lookout for incoming cars at fast speeds. In the US anybody can drive in any lane that's why people don't give a giant sh*t and don't move over which causes accidents...

I never mind some speedy driving (done either by me or someone else having fun), but this looks uncomfortable. Like I would notice an indicator when I'm driving 130kph and you're coming up behind me at 266kph. It's wet, only two lanes wide, far to many vehicles. Personally I don't like people pushing up close to me from behind. I don't mind if you want to drive fast, by all means crack open those butterfly valves...but I'm just as entitled to that road as you are, I also sometimes need to overtake vehicles. I always try to gauge if a faster vehicle is approaching, don't mind waiting a few seconds to overtake or make sure to move right as soon as space permits...but don't act like you own that road and put me in danger at the same time. If you want to drive fast, do so with consideration to others that apparently aren't in race-mode that day. Absolutely love the Giulia QV BTW :)

Common practice in germany to signal left while moving to the right. It means that the passing driver should overtake fast because there is slower traffic in the right lane. Its kind of doing a favor by letting the faster guy pass although the gap on the right is not big enough to legally require a lange change.

They could put this engine in an AWD version of the 4C and have a car that would compete with just about anything...
Aren't they doing that with the new 6c?
4c means 4 cilinder coupe. 6 c would have v6 engine just like 8c had v8. And too much money would coast for making new transmission for drive train for car that doesnt sell. Giulia is perfect i would like only two door version and give it name 6c and thats all. I dont have money for it but maby i will buy used one one day. I am dreaming about it with next job that could maby be possible.

Der Defekt liegt wohl eher im Oberstübchen des Fahrers vor
Bis 282 km/h läuft mein alter S6 Avant, Baujahr 2001. Man muss das Auto aber auch kontrollieren können. Was für ein sinnloser Vergleich, der Italiener hat fast 200 PS mehr, ist ein schönes Auto, aber bleibt halt ein Italiener. Und das nervige Anblinken...schon darum hätte ich ihn ignoriert.
