UNTIL they decided it was time to break into the 7 gumball machines they bought at auction from an abandoned Walmart
They are used to opening locked things with sledge hammers
But now they are going to try lock picking for the 1st time ever
They are shocked at what they find

Jeremy, for the future if you go to a candy supply store sometimes they have those machines and they might have a key for you. So if you plan on keeping it you don't have to go through that long pick-pocketing next time. Just a thought to share with you
They usually have a switch or button for “free vend” near the counter or dial.
All those quarters were the best prize you got from the machines. My guess is the empty ones probably had out of order signs on them when the store was still open which somebody took off before the auction. The nephews and nieces, along with all the grown up kids at heart, are going to love the gumball machines.
George's instincts for wanting these machines were spot on. So glad there were so many quarters and that you both made a nice profit! Jeremy earned all the bones for picking the locks, and George earned all the M&Ms for counting all the quarters. God bless the two of you and all the other subscribers

I have a very old gum ball machine and I had to get the glass and lock replaced since my daughter knocked it off a shelf. So I know you can get replacement keys and locks for those machines. That would make your life much easier in the future.

I bet that the M&M's didn't have many quarters in it because parents don't like their young kids to eat chocolate because it has caffeine in it and everyone knows that kids and caffeine are not a good mix (not too mention the sugar rush). I've picked locks. The best one is the rake. It has like a wave at the end. it's all about putting the least amount of pressure when turning.

Quick tip for 90% of locks you can actually push the tumblers past the breaking point and if you push from past that it will unlock it automatically

You should check those quarters for the 2019 W and 2020 W quarters. Depending om condition, each one can be worth up to $10.00 each. Worth looking for. Great score.
