Once the mission is completed, it's the beginning of a new era in space exploration and colonization.

How does a great accomplishment like this only have 11k youtube hits yet a cat sleeping gets over a million hits?

Funny how even the most obvious moves seem so complicated in space.

The U.S. is back in the space business, with a commercial partner - that's never happened before. Elon Musk and SpaceX have shown it's possible for private business to build, successfully fly, and dock commercial spacecraft compatible with one-off government hardware. Very cool!

Why the petty arguments, guys? This is a really cool event, a new phase in the space age. Way to go SpaceX and ISS crew!

My eyes messed up, and looked like I was looking up at the satelite, from the ground.

How long does it take a spaceship to reach the ISS approximately?

I'm pretty sure the US landed on the moon and the shuttle program was shut down to focus on new shuttles that can reach mars with a manned crew...

2 Lockheed Martin employees disapprove of this video.

You are the one who is wrong. NASA has a budget of $18 billion and thousands of employees. NASA has a new spacecraft/rover traveling to Mars right now.

    Different cameras/camera-modes.

all the way up until 5:58 you can see the earth outside the window, then at around 06:21 why does it all of a sudden turn very very red??? and it stays on this view for over a minute to around 07:25. then it switches to some other weird angle of the dragon capsule for less than 15 seconds then switches back to the original RED view of the dragon capsule from space X. The at 8:00 exactly from what i saw the red view magically changes to the original view where you can see the blue of the earth

      @garrettholden5170 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It's red because it's on the dark side of the planet (sun is not shining on that side). In order for the cameras and crew to see what's going on, it is lit with a red light. A similar process is used on navel ships and submarines.

what brings you to this idea? Roskosmos has announced that the russian parts of the ISS will be reused to build the next gerneration russian space station. Furthermore there are plans to send space tourists around the moon with a modified Sozuy spacecraft. Russia won't quit the space buisness that soon.

this was a very very good video. I got a very major concern in regards to this though... on this video every single time you see the earth it is spinning.... yet watch this video-/watch?v=xOsOifg4Mm0 and the part im talking about is at the very end of the video the lady that is recording takes you to a breathtaking view out the windows of the ISS, but please explain why the earth is not spinning (i mean at all in the video i posted) and on this one u can clearly see the spin is constant

I'm right, NASA has no money to put humans on the Moon or Mars .
And I know all rovers on Mars or travelling to now .
when you say "Other nations have had 43 years to catch up with us and no one has" excuse me but today; USA sometime use RUSSIANS rockets ^^
And have you ever heard about ESA ? Ariane ? all European missions since 40 years ?
    Excuse my bad english :(
