Great tutorials, thank you! I know these are 6 years old but still VERY useful. Question - how did you managed to have your cursor bigger? in my case whole GUI is scaling nicely but cursor stays tiny...
very interesting, thank you for uploading...a question, can I use this files and give to coders to create games?...(retro games, like Ishar, 2d adventures, etc...? thank you...
It is possible, but the color cycling type of image is a legacy format. The programmer would either need a special "library" to load and display the image correctly or you would have to settle for a more modern image format like .gif or .png which unfortunately don't support color cycling. However, if the programmer was determined, he could consult the source code itself in GrafX2 and see how they handle it.
ah, ok, I thought colour cycling was a gif feature...well, I suppose it can be done, I discovered recently that there are programs that allow you to create gifts just recording what is happening on the screen, a sort of recording the screen, so I suppose I could transform the colour cycling animation into a gift, just recording it...anyway, thank you for your tutorials, I'm following them and they are very clear...the only thing I suggest is : when you use shortcut with the keyboard it is hard to understand as we don't see which Keys you are using, it would be better to use the mouse and select from the menu, or if you want to use a the keyboard, maybe a pop up icon that tells the Keys you are using, or more simple just repeat few times the Keys or combination...but a part that, all is very well done and I appreciate the examle you are doing...I think this program is fantastic as it is not overly complicated ( I dislake modern software where everything is extremely complex and too full of options) and not over simplistic....I think it hits the right spot to be creative.....I probably will ask other things in the future, if you don't mind....thank you!!!!
I think that might be a little involved and time consuming. I'm not 100% sure but I believe there was a topic about it on PixelJoint forum a while back.
I was inspired a lot by Mark Ferrari and was really hoping this was on grafx2. Great tutorial by the way.
Great Grafx2 videos. Thanks for this class
Remember doing this in Deluxe Paint on the Amiga as a kid. That's where the .lbm format originated I believe.
omg, man!
you just changed my life!!!
Just what I wanted to know! Thanks mate!
nice little tutorial. Used to do a lot of cycling animation on the amiga in deluxe paint 4.. good to see there's still a program around.
Tinkering with this. I'm really sad that i cant export the effect to a normal gif animation :/
It's possible through writing some very heavy Lua code. The better option would be to put in a request to the authors of the program.

i save the animation in lbm format but its static :(

Btw i love your tutorials, you make me love this program

@@1luarluar1 Tilengine seems to support color cycling. I am not sure about the format it wants though.
