I lived through that era and this book brings back so many social issues of that time; WOMEN, RACE, DRUGS, MORALITY OF WAR. It felt so real about those times.
I can't even imagine how it was living during this time and living with the confusion. If the book is anywhere close to the truth, it sounds like it was difficult for many...

@@melissas_cozy_corner Yes, The Great Alone, The Nightingale and The Four Winds. I think her strength is in her researched story telling and characters. This was my favorite so far, but all have been good:)
@thaliad6759 I found this author through The Nightingale, but I completely agree, this one is my favorite of the two, but it is very close.
I definitely want to pick up another one of hers 🥰
