there's way too many 5600X cpus to skyrocket their prices and as for the intel GPU, noone should buy there first gen things unless they wanna have problems, so doubt it will significantly impact anything
Unless you don't know what your doing like most people. I remember in the old days I was scared to even load by bios because I was worried I would break the computer. Most people see gibberish they don't understand in the bios.
Using ARC was an extreme oversight and terrible idea for a video trying to show people PC is a better alternative to console. Will you sometimes run into the crashing/issues shown in this video? Yes on rare occasion, not every game you try playing like in this video.
Honestly, they're selling the PS5... The PC crashed every time on Ratchet and Klank, they assume you got a free case, a used PS5 is cheaper and still come with controller, HDR just worked on PS5...
I love how Linus called the 6700xt and 3060ti 'boring' and then proceeded to show us all what makes those boring cards so useful, namely not having to fuck around with driver support and HDR implimentations, etc. No hate on the A770, it's a cool card, but boring has its advantages sometimes.
@@mcslender2965 Here, in Australia that is, you can pickup a 6600 for $50 cheaper then the A750. Which is only slightly less powerful then the A750. Up to the person in question of course, if you're a tinker then the A750 is a great card. But if you don't want to deal with its teething issues then the 6000 series is the way to go. Value for money is great, but the equation is not purely about performance, it's also about the experience with the card. Atleast that's my opinion!
I think it was just a "I'm tired of team red/green" thing, and prolly just wanted to mix it up while also seeing if Intel drivers have changed the card for the better.
@@Alphawolf2325 Probably, I don't think so though. Still the point stands, either would have been a better pic for an entry level build. As the person most likely using an entry level build isn't going to be someone tech savy enough to troubleshoot that kinda card.
In the US at least, the Arc A770 is cheaper than the 6700 XT (even if you go used) which matters a lot in a budget like this, but moreover I think the idea was to match (really beat) the 16gb of combined memory of the console, and the A770 is the only 16gb card cheap enough for this budget.
depends, I buy servers all the time and sometimes you will get a system at the same price but with free shipping from more reputable sellers. also free shipping is relatively common on ebay, even to canada.
Surprised that when comparing prices and saying "yeah with the ps5 you get a controller", nobody said "yeah but with pc you get online for free". It may only be 14 a month rn, but sony can increase it whenever they want and if you already have the ps5, you kinda gotta pay (if you play online).
Steam Deck OLED made me realize just how shockingly important HDR is for gaming. It's a dramatically better looking image when enabled for no fps cost. Windows/developers and everyone on PC really needs to focus on getting it supported better
@willwunsche6940 To be fair to windows and game devs, hdr standards and implementations on tvs and monitors are a mess. A lot of them are theoretically hdr capable, but not in a way anyone would want to use.
That’s the thing with HDR, you can’t be sold it with words, you have to own it for a bit and then try to switch back to SDR. Games with realistic graphics look like over saturated cartoons in SDR mode.
So basically your saying everyone should be rich and able to afford an hdr monitor? Thats silly, plus i would take higher referesh rate or more resolution over hdr any day
@fromdiscord Yeah, they should set their priorities straight and get that real HDR OLED monitor. So developers will support it in more games. Eat dry bread for a year, sell your GF, sister or bumhole behind a dumpster if necessary. Just do whatever it takes and get that shiny HDR screen! By the way, these monitors have high res and refreshrates by default.
It helps to have videos that actually can help most consumers. That said I do love the ridiculous concepts. For 500 bucks this in insane and most of us probably wouldn't have considered this budget
@@elsapotk421 who is this helping? hardly no one wants to waste a week going through ebay to look for USED parts around the right $ only to end up spending $20-$30 more on shipping. The people looking for very cheap PCs willing to buy used on ebay won't want to spend extra money trying to arbitrarily spec around the PS5. That's just not worth the price to performance. Like someone said, it's pointless to spec for HDR without being able to afford a more expensive HDR monitor.
They didn’t add the shipping cost to those part prices. The cpu alone showed 35$ shipping and yet they only paid 35$ (or whatever it was) for the cpu on the list. It’s impressive what they built for a budget, but they should be more genuine with the true cost. Apples to Apples, not Apples to Steak.
What about the added online for ps5 that you need to pay for what about the more expensive games you'll need to pay for on ps5 the pc is way way better bang for your buck at 500 dollars
@@undary0u PS5 constantly has sales running on games, year round. More than Steam in my honest opinion. The online aspect isn’t a requirement for ps5 (There are a ton of games you can play online free, without subscribing to their network service, and even more that don’t require a network to play) Only if you want to utilize their network services. That computer wasn’t actually built for 500$. A ps5 is 399$ brand new, 499$ if you buy the disc version (they sell for 300-350$ used all day for the disc version) They left out the keyboard, mouse, monitor, shipping costs, and maybe other things? (It’s been a while since I’ve watched this) and I think it’s safe to say, not everyone would have the connections they have to find and build with those parts. My point is, what they built is a great budget setup, but they should be more transparent about the real costs they are paying. 500$ pc vs ps5 is clickbait, nothing more. If they’re going to label it, and portray it a certain way, then follow through with it. Don’t compare a steak to a burger and call them equal.
That's true, I am personally considering whether to buy a console or a PC. I have and always need a Laptop, so I am kind of swinging PS5 to replace my PS4. However the PS3 just broke down so emulation would be nice... Ah it's to difficult of a choice
@@TheGoldenMan99I heard a rumor that PS5 has PS3 emulation. It might be worth looking into seeing if that rumor is true because that could be the tiebreaker
Then you should also include the the PSN or PS plus or whatever that you need to play online Multiplayer (and the ability to do this is also required for some offline single player games) Edit: Ignore what I wrote in the parenthesis, I got this wrong.
The other factor is the cost of games. With Steam sales, you can put together a respectable library of older AAA games for half to a third of the price. That's not counting all the games you might have built up in the last 10-20 years that still work.
If you want to get creative you can also play physical copies of games as well from older systems, Or go the less legal route through emulation. And don't forget the free games you can get often enough, I haven't paid Epic a cent but have over 300 games on my epic library with a new one (not always good) every week. As a personal example I have a game save of FFVII I've been playing since around 2001 that I've just never gotten around to beating. I started playing it on an old first gen Playstation, moved it to a PS2, got the card reader back then and move that to a PC that I played on (with horrible PS emulation, with the disk even at the time) up to around level 70 on the first disk because I'm a masochist, stopped playing for a few years and managed to port that save over to the PS3. I didn't play that save for probably 12 years or more, and last year decided to finally beat the game and got my 2001 FFVII game running perfectly on my PC using the PS3 card reader to move it over... I still haven't beaten the game but thats a fully different issue.
you can buy ps4 games for the same prices if you buy second hand physical copies (physical copies are also just cooler!) and PSN also does sales. steam sales are nice, but people vastly overestimate how much cheaper they are than console prices. imo free EGS games and pc game pass are much better value propositions compared to what you can get for a PS5.
Sorry i would rather spend 500 dollars on second hand pc than 300 on shitbrick with games that only people with enough popularity in industry can publish
@@NotRenjiro Also many more things can be done. As you have a complete Windows OS in a pc. Video editing, graphic designing, 3d modelling whatever you want
I picked up a Intel Arc A770 the beginning of January 2024. I had lots of issues with Diablo IV crashing either immediately or shortly after. I was just about ready to return the card when a new build of the latest driver dropped. Installed it and all the issues I had disappeared and it's been rock solid ever since.
@@jonasduell9953 How dead is it? I'm planning on buying the game in the future. Does it even need multiplayer or is it more of a single player game like the earlier titles?
It's more like a trend to build a PS5 killer. But I gotta say, for $500, you can build a pretty solid gaming PC right now, *without counting peripherals.
tbh I never understood what the fuzz was about. I always saw consoles as highly limited product. Sure, you'll see you occasional post that claims that "there's no point in having a PC if a console costs less" (mainly from console only players either way) - but exchanging capabilities of modding, better user experience, more games available and no subscription cost for just wanting to play online and talking on a slow peer 2 peer voice chat at basically no additional cost for the manufacturer isn't exactly something that sounds too great to me. If I ever would want a console again I'd just straight up let my PC start with Steam in Big Picture mode, hook it up to my TV and have a wireless keyboard & mouse for modding stuff and adding non-steam games to the steam library. Doesn't even matter if a PC costs 400 more.
@@Unknown_GeniusConsoles are more about a seamless experience. Things are all plug-and-play and you never really have to deal with drivers and such, and not everyone has the time or is willing to invest in this process. That's of course without considering platform exclusives.
There is something magic about Linus building and presenting budget friendly PCs, one can see the twinkle is his eyes doing what he used to during the struggle years.
The biggest reason I would take a $500 PC over a console even if the PC parts are used is that a PC is more then a gaming box. There are so many more uses for a pc then a console. Even if you currently don't do anything but gaming the option with the pc is always there, which in my opinion adds huge value to a PC.
If someone wants to game for an hour after work and doesn’t need/ want a PC and they don’t want to deal with all the additional hassle of a PC, updates, drivers not playing nice with each other, can’t just pick up where you left off, possibly having to drape wires across a living room, etc. The convenience factor is a huge contributor to why consoles are a better fit for a lot of people.
@@dwane42 what decade are you living in? This isn't 2004 when loading up windows takes 5 min and PC's don't have wireless cards... What cables do you need that consoles don't?? And drivers are generally just managed by windows and if you HAVE to do updates for graphics it's like once every 3-6 months.... Meanwhile I turn my Xbox on and I can't do anything till it takes 5 min to update.
@@dwane42None of those problems exists on PCs anymore than it does on consoles. Not sure what kind of hassle a PC gives you when it boots up in 15 seconds and ready to go? Drivers issues basically don't exists anymore. Why wouldn't you be able to pick up where you left off, its the same game? Wireless peripherals has been more popular than wired ones for years now on PCs.
Ltt has done this for a long time now. Every time they make a "console killer" it's weaker or cost way more than a console or they cheat and go "oh well you had these 3 parts lying around still" my favorite is the constantly using free or discounted versions of windows. Iirc their ps4 "killers" assumes windows was $10. Lol.
@usrevenge I agree with all your points aside from the windows price. You can get Windows keys for extremely cheap. So long as you don't buy from Microsoft themselves lol. I have never spent more than $15 on a windows key for the builds I sell
This video exemplifies perfectly why people would prefer consoles over PC you have to haggle through buying components, some components were assumed you already have, you have to deal with bios, software sentings, game settings, let alone the HUGE footprint all in order to try to match what you can just go to a store, pick up and play.
Right. Not to mention we’re talking about used parts from ebay with shipping fees vs brand new ps5. I can find a ps5 right now for 300€-350€ from my local marketplace. No chance of building a pc that cheap coming even close to the power of ps5.
Right but the bargain hunting and researching/picking all the components is half the fun of owning a PC! I get that it's not for everyone, but for people like me there's a certain satisfaction you get from building it yourself that console gaming can never provide. With my current build I spent an entire week getting my fan curves *just* right, and I enjoyed every second of it, even moreso than actually gaming on the thing. With a console you just plug it in and go. *BORING!* It's like going to a mechanic instead of working on your own car. Where's the fun in that?
@@Psythik Most people just want to drive their car to get to places and boot up their console just to game. I am PC gang forever but the ease of booting up a console and getting into a game is undeniable. If I were on a low budget I'd pick console 10/10 times.
@@trippinhard250 And I get that 💯 but thankfully for those of use who want to do more than just drive and play games have the option to do so. It's a beautiful thing, isn't it?
As much as I like this videos about second hand best builds as a European it feels like fantasy. Here in Spain a PC that turns on costs 150 euros minimum, if it can run windows 10 make it 250, if the graphics card is from 202X make it 350.
And in the process you can get scammed, you don’t know if the components you buy ran for 100 or 10000hrs, and the best part is you get no warranty or customer service.
Obviously I am not familiar with the situation in Spain, but here in Hungary you can get PCs that are more than capable of running Windows 10 for about 100-120 euros (6th or 7th gen i5 or such, 8GB RAM and typically a cca. - sometimes even nvme) 200GB SSD. You won't play new(ish) games on a system liket that of course, but these PCs are great for everyday use IMO.
I've used parts off ebay for over 10 years now and I love it. I currently have a "last gen" PC (if you want to call a 3070 last gen) I'm using for around $600 all in. You can buy parts and sell the old ones to almost break even. I generally upgrade something about every 4-5 months. The only thing I never buy or sell are SSDs.
@@leonro I think "last gen" has corrupted your brain. The 3070 is more than capable unless you run 4K 500Hz all Ultra settings with RT/PT on. 😂😂 and true gamers know those are just buzzwords.

I'll state a few missed yet obvious points though. 1- Its 475$ vs 320$ if we being fair about going 2nd hand. 2- A PC is not limited to PS5 games. While a PS5 may have a few exclusives, there are hundreds if not thousands of games playable on PC but not on a PS5... 3- A PC is not ONLY a gaming machine. You won't be editing photos from your last trip on a PS5. Last point is important why? Because if you need to buy, upgrade and maintain a PC alongside your PS5 anyway, it may only need marginally better components to match the performance of PS5.
Games on console are also far better optimized than even very well optimized PC games, simply because you're optimizing for a singular machine with pre-defined hardware and software instead of a whole variety of different hardware and softwares, so the PC has by default quite a bit more weight to pull in order to match performance. Another important factor is the inherent fabrication cost of modularity, a PS5 has one metal/plastic "shell", all the components (apart from storage) are completely barebones if taken out, while each PC components (apart from the CPU) has to be self-contained, so you end up with way more metal and plastic that while necessary, don't contribute anything to the fully assembled build.
@@ledocteur7701 Optimization has more to do code and operating system than hardware. The same with cases in that you can't seem to get a used one for less than $50 and a new one will probably cost you $70 and up. So, even with the best prices listed I've come across, you will already be $140 into your '$500" hypothetical budget leaving $360 for everything else. $60 for a PSU, $70 for a Ryzen 5 3600X, and about $230 for a used RX 6700 and you'll be lucky to have something close to the PS5 performance. People complaining about used parts. It is not the same thing. On pc it is more than normal to have used and newer parts. You either buy a new or used ps5, not a mix of them. So this dynamic is aceptable, realistic and still makes sense, even still if you go all used.
It can be done, this would only impress me if it had zero issues and was all new parts easy to get hold of. Since it's neither of those, its neat but thats it.
A large benefit to a building a PC is that when parts do need to be replaced it is much easier to just swap out specific parts. Whereas with a console they limit a lot of what you can do to improve it. Making you have to buy a whole new system.
@spongy179 if you buy solid parts a PC will last a long time and I have nothing against consoles I still have an N64 but a PC build will look and play better than any console and the PC has the benefit of using software like steam to purchase at least x100 more games that will never come to console.
@spongy179 so being realistic if you bought a 4080 GPU and a 13900k cpu that will last a minimum of 6-7+ years before any performance drop is noticeable along with that you can then over clock and get a few more years. A console, especially one built today is using already old hardware.

$250 for a backpack sounds insane. I guess I did spend nearly that much on a nice motorcycle backpack with back, chest, shoulder protection, waterproofing, lots of specific pockets and straps, and more. $250 for a backpack with just a big pocket still sounds absurd though
A PC out of used parts should be compared to a used PS5. And the Ps5 also features a 4K Blu-Ray disc drive. Now thats impossible to get for a PC without killing the budget.
So how much would it cost to get the PS5 to run programs, other OS systems & use the hardware & power of the PS5 to run them? I mean you could buy a cheap smartphone to do some or a cheap laptop. There is no way to get the PS5 to do anything other than game using Playstation games or play other media. It's a restricted eco system piece of tech.
It literally costs like 10 bucks to get a bluray disc reader, also we should count that consoles have to pay for online, don't get so many discounts as PC, can't mod their games, can't play other games via emulation without being banned for basically everything, can't use any peripheral they want, etc
So to hit the budget you used a huge old (broken) PC case which cost "next to nothing", second hand parts off marketplace, didn't include cost of mouse/keyboard or OS and had to fix a bunch of issues just to get games running right. Huh? I find it hard to believe that anybody would choose this Frankenstein pc over the PS5 for the same money (for gaming).
In terms of video gaming right now yeah, the PS5 is arguably better. But consider that it only has one use: gaming. It can't be used for any of the other things you use a PC for. additionally, a PC can be upgraded and can run games and software from any year. It is far less constrained than a console and when the time comes for the next generation of games you don't need to buy a whole new product.
Not to mention having to find THE exact prices and stuff second hand to match it PS5 is such a better deal for 500. If you gonna PC game go all out or just buy a console XD

The good thing is that you never have to worry about the playstation getting water damage since it will instantly boil any liquid that comes close to it, and you always know its on because it''ll sound like an airplane. Helping a friend dust clean a PS4 I'm was shocked at the poor cooling.
In this scenario the benefit of the PS5 still outweighs the PC (only in this specific scenario) imo, the PS5 you get a warranty + brand new parts, this PC is 2nd hand with no warranty and requires much more manual setup as opposed to working out the box + as you said, the controller included in the price of the PS5 also, and if you were going to go down the 2nd hand route, PS5 consoles have dropped to around £400 in the UK at least compared to the £500 new.
I’d argue that the PC is better. Sure there’s no warranty, but you don’t really want a warranty on a custom PC anyways. The biggest upside of PC is its modularity. A PC like this isn’t the finish line; it’s a starting point that you can iterate upon for the foreseeable future. Only change I’d make is I’d get the B650 motherboard, as they’re a bit more involved to upgrade than other components.
@@jarrickhillery8664 yes you do want a warranty on your parts if possible lol A B650 would push the price far beyond the 500$ mark which is counterintuitive. Also if you,re looking to upgrade in the future you defeat hte puprose of this video.

The best thing about the PC build is you have significantly more options in terms of games. Even If i was budget conscious, I'd take a bit of a performance hit getting a PC over a console just for the amount of games you have access to.
I would argue its still an easy win because a PC is a PC, and can do PC things. You can use a PC for gaming/work/school/creative stuff. A console can only be really used for entertainment. I would rather have a 200 dollar PC over a console any day of the week, but that's just me.

It took me about 2 hours to build but it works like a champ.
is it just me or is the backpack at 5:28 kind of ridiculously priced, that is literally half the price of the pc youre building, how can you justify that kind of price on a bag
Just add on about $100 potentially $200 with either petrol to drive to collect the parts to see if they work and the faffing about if you order on eBay and pay for the returns on the packaging and postage if it doesn’t work With a console it’s plug and play that’s it done if you have a guarantee and it breaks you just send it back to get it repaired or swapped for a new one The more interesting question is what uses more power to run between em money wise
Yeah I think if you really need a PC and $500 is all you have to spend this may be an option, but I'd never recommend it. For around 800 you can get all your base components new. The only thing that I'd definitely take a look at is a used GPU if you're comfortable with repasting. The performance boost you can get with the same budget is huge. The sweet spot for all new is a little over 1000 I'd say. At that point you can double console performance quite easily.
what you displayed here was EXACTLY why people opt to go with consoles: it just works. the scant few games that crash regularly either don't get bought, or get returned. you ALSO (likely) did not include the cost of Windows, which is $150 by itself...would have been nice to see a parts price list, too.
Just because new gaming hardware comes out every year doesn't mean you need to upgrade it. There are some people who will go out and buy the latest 4090 to swap out their 3090 but up until recently the humble 1060 was the most popular card in the Steam hardware survey, a card that's practically ancient at this point but still capable. I had a 1060 for years until last year when I finally upgraded to a RX6600 last year for less than $200. It doesn't run everything I throw at it at max settings, but I've never failed to have it run better than console equivalents in 1080p with over 60fps. If you're building a PC from scratch like here sticker shock is a thing and it *will* cost more, but if you only upgrade your system every few years you're most likely only changing out a few parts unless switching to a new motherboard generation. The AM4 socket has been going strong for 8 years and they're still making new processors for it, and DDR4 memory has been out and solid for the last decade.
Built my pc just over 4 years ago for around a thousand dollars. I haven’t upgraded it once except for adding some more storage. There’s still not game I’ve encountered that doesn’t run well.
@@jackinzbox. Honestly, I think a lot of big hardware tech channels do a disservice by only exclusively focusing on the latest gen hardware. I'm not saying they don't (I appreciate the low and midrange budget build videos LTT posts once in a while) but I think it continues to spread the stereotype that PC gaming is still prohibitively expensive compared to console gaming when they're routinely showing the performance of rigs that cost more than a thousand dollars. I enjoy some other channels that focus on builds in the console price range that do indepth analysis about the pros and cons and the compromises you'll make. If a person doesn't need anything more powerful than a chromebook for their "normal" computing needs, then it's perfectly acceptable to get a console. One thing they all seem to do that I respect is plan their builds with an upgrade path so you can make your system more powerful over time without needing to replace it completely.
Valid point. The digital edition is just as powerful and cheaper. It’s the one I’ve got. I haven’t regretted even a minute. The amount of gaming I’ve gotten from such a small price is 100% worth it

Thats because buying used PC parts is a very normal thing that a lot of people do when building their PC. Most people don't buy their Playstation second hand
For me, same with pc parts, be careful with buying used ps5s as they may have some defects or be fake, but there can be value found in getting a used one at a lower price as they may run the exact same to a new one or with minimal degraded performance. You just need to be a very smart buyer.
Hmmm unpopular opinion here, but I'd take the PS5 for an easy life and fractionally lower fps/graphics in some cases. Unless you're really into building your own PC (in which case fair enough) I can't be bothered to fix annoying steam/driver/compatibility/HDR/controller issues etc. Get home from a long day at work to fire up Elden Ring or whatever and your gpu/pc shitting itself is not ideal. No hate on the A770, it's a cool card, but boring has its advantages sometimes.
Iirc the a750 is usually cheaper than the 6600xt and has better performance plus better upscaling tech w XeSS, driver jank aside
@@mcslender2965 Here, in Australia that is, you can pickup a 6600 for $50 cheaper then the A750. Which is only slightly less powerful then the A750. @janoschk.5730 You also don't need ps+ for free to play games. so basically the biggest online games are 100% free anyway.
Not to mention (I know this towards the ps5) but with game pass for 150$ a year you can have over 20+ big name games.
you can buy ps4 games for the same prices if you buy second hand physical copies (physical copies are also just cooler!) and PSN also does sales. steam sales are nice, but people vastly overestimate how much cheaper they are than console prices. imo free EGS games and pc game pass are much better value propositions compared to what you can get for a PS5.

I loved bearded Linus more. Facial hair fits him perfect
The biggest reason I would take a $500 PC over a console even if the PC parts are used is that a PC is more then a gaming box. There are so many more uses for a pc then a console. Even if you currently don't do anything but gaming the option with the pc is always there, which in my opinion adds huge value to a PC.
Right? Like how you can make those ps5 games on that PC :)
@@dwane42None of those problems exists on PCs anymore than it does on consoles. Not sure what kind of hassle a PC gives you when it boots up in 15 seconds and ready to go? Wireless peripherals has been more popular than wired ones for years now on PCs.

you have to haggle through buying components, some components were assumed you already have, you have to deal with bios, software sentings, game settings, let alone the HUGE footprint all in order to try to match what you can just go to a store, pick up and play.

The main thing that changed is that we nowadays got a ton of options that aren't big companies - and a lot of those options are either PC exclusive or started their journey on PC.
I built a budget PC in October 2019. Playing Hogwart's Legacy currently on ultra settings and getting 60fps. I think it was like 1000-1100 canadian, so like 725-800 usd at the time. So it was really more like an 800-900 cad computer (580-650 USD) in 2019. And still plays any game, maybe not max, but plays everything coming out fine so far.
This made me feel better about my PSU purchase back in January. I got the Seasonic FOCUS GX-850, 80+ Gold. My previous 2 year old Cooler Master 750W failed embarrassingly bad. I had to temporarily use my 11 year old EVGA PSU just to regain use of my computer. I couldn't really game because it didn't have enough juice for my modern hardware.
I got a series x at a pawn shop a few years ago for $300US. It fits on my small desk, and has very few software issues. I can even use a mouse and keyboard if I want to.
Downsides… Games are more expensive, but I don’t play a huge variety. It only plays games, but I have an old laptop for all my non gaming needs. It is not great if mods are needed, there is only one game where that’s a problem for me, so I just need to get good I guess 😂.
Whenever I price out a new pc I always end up somewhere in the $1200 ballpark for what I’d consider a longish term rig for myself. I just can’t justify throwing that much at a new pc when, like Linus said, this generation has held its value for money surprisingly well and for the most part, the console kinda just works fine for my (admittedly casual) needs.

The fact that console makes you pay for multiplayer kills it as an option for me.
I already have a PC that is going to be a photoshop machine after I buy a PS5

That's not to mention if you buy a previous generation AM4 board that you might need to flash the BIOS to install 3000 and 5000 series Ryzen (if they are compatible). The same with cases in that you can't seem to get a used one for less than $50 and a new one will probably cost you $70 and up. Have you noticed how literally everything is more expensive right now, not just PC parts?
Yeah but the PS5 will last more before you have to change it and you will end up paying more for the pc
@spongy179 if you buy solid parts a PC will last a long time and I have nothing against consoles I still have an N64 but a PC build will look and play better than any console and the PC has the benefit of using software like steam to purchase at least x100 more games that will never come to console.
@@andreww2925 solid or not, those parts need to be changed, not bc theu break but bc they will get slow after time
@spongy179 so being realistic if you bought a 4080 GPU and a 13900k cpu that will last a minimum of 6-7+ years before any performance drop is noticeable along with that you can then over clock and get a few more years. A console, especially one built today is using already old hardware.
@@andreww2925 PC will last a long time if you don't use it. unless all your doing is excel and youtube. consoles are designed just to run games 24/7. the engineering is superior at every level, including software. it's easy to build a better PC than a console. it just will never be superior. not anymore.

$250 for a backpack sounds insane. I guess I did spend nearly that much on a nice motorcycle backpack with back, chest, shoulder protection, waterproofing, lots of specific pockets and straps, and more. $250 for a backpack with just a big pocket still sounds absurd though
Tell someone who hasn't built a PC since 2014 that you're using an AMD CPU Intel GPU and watch them immediately assume you're stupid
@@triax7006 🗣💯facts, that's why consoles suck, not to mention they have to pay twice to use their own internet lol

This video is bullshit. $700 or $800 at best to make a headache free PC.
I think that a controller or other method of user input shouldve been taken into account. The PS5 comes with a controller after all.

I can't be arsed with the constant upgrades when you have a gaming PC. At least you know a console game will run well.
So there comparing to the disc version? Which means they are $75 over the price of the digital version?
well yea considering so many games on my ps5 are over 100gb i regret not getting the disc version
Valid point. The digital edition is just as powerful and cheaper. It’s the one I’ve got. I haven’t regretted even a minute. The amount of gaming I’ve gotten from such a small price is 100% worth it
Now go buy a new AAA game for cheap on the digtial model.. you can't.
That's why you always go disc version, you can buy an AAA game new and sell it for 50% of what you gave some time later, or just buy it used for 50% less, reducing the total loss by a significant amount.
