I was wondering if you could do Happily Ever After of 1989. It is a cartoon sequel to Snow White and the seven Dwarfs, and even though it’s not Disney, it’s fire. I think it was you who said Rothbart from Swan Princess was soft(and to that I agree) but I assure you! Lord Malice is a breath of fresh air after all the wuss villains Disney has been doing. It’s free on TH-cam, so please give it a shot. I feel it’s a fairy tale, that deserves more credit than it’s given

Despite her actions I still believe she didn't kill him, everything she does it's for personal gain, and she gained nothing from her father's death, maybe the ownership for the house and a maid in Cinderella but she already seemed to live just fine in the house and demonstrate at every opportunity that she only put Cinderella trough hell to despise her not cause she need a maid. The only possibility I personally see to her wanting him dead was if he wanted a divorce which would shame her and her daughters, but the story says that she only showed the monster she is AFTER he died, so she didn't have a really great motive for doing so other than evil be evil for evil.
Maybe in another timeline, she became maleficent.
The fact that Prince Charming's VA is also Prince Eric is awesome! Plus Drizella's VA was Minnie Mouse and Anastasia's is Daisy Duck.
However, Cinderella III is sad because in Cinderella II, Anastasia and Drizella grew as characters and fell in love with the baker twins. In Cinderella III, this earlier grow is now forgotten and retconned as if Cinderella II never existed and instead Anastasia re-grows as a character but now without her sister.
Knowing that Cinderella 2 never led into the TV show Disney wanted, I'm fine with the original animated film and Part 3 being the only films of the series.
I'm not 100% sure if it makes sense but i like to think cinderella II takes place after the third movie. In this alternate timeline where their story kinda restarted, and Anastasia is i guess nicer, it makes more sense for what happens between them in the second movie. i'm sure there are things that might not make sense, but I don't want to believe Cinderella II isn't canon, cause i genuinely like Anastasia and i want her to be happy.
@@sS0O0L The way how I perceive it is that Cinderella II gets rewritten do to the events of Cinderella III. Cinderella II basically follows up with our characters after the original film, especially given the Tremaine's living conditions in that film and the still present tension between both Anastasia and Cinderella at the beginning of the former's story (although it was fairly light compared to how it was like in the og film). Cinderella III, however, starts off seeming like it's set in-between both the first and second film timeline-wise, do to Anastasia still being with her family and still obeying her mother's orders.
This changes of course do the paradox of the Fairy Godmother losing her wand, and Lady Tremaine using it to literally turn back time thus changing the timeline. Do to this action, that meant that the ending of the first Cinderella film, as well as all of the events from Cinderella II were erased. That, or this paradox split the Cinderella timeline into two. One where the Fairy Godmother never lost her wand, and one where she did.
Regardless of whether or not that's the case, this explains why Cinderella II couldn't have followed after the events of Cinderella III do to fates of both Lady Tremaine and Drizella at the end. They were both turned into frogs and then into scullery maids. However, it's likely they'll recieve a worser punishment do to their actions towards the kingdom. They practically committed treason 😅. Anastasia, however, would probably get a pardon do to her choosing to go against her mother's wishes at the end, including how she also garnered the amity of the royal family and Cinderella.
It just wouldn't make sense why she'd end up with her family again after all of that for Cinderella II, and it equally wouldn't make sense for her to be equally punished alongside them after the events of Cinderella III. It also wouldn't make sense why Anastasia would still hold any animosity towards Cinderella at the beginning of her tale in the second film seeing how the two already made amends by the end of the third one.
Now, if there was any concern regarding Anastasia's fate of meeting the Baker from Cinderella II, well, there's still some hope. A portrait of the two meeting can be seen during the end credits of the third film, meaning that regardless of the timeline change, the two would still eventually meet. Obviously though with the circumstances of how they met being different from how it went in the second film. So our girl still gets her happy ending 😊. Like the King said, everyone deserves a chance for true love.
But this is just my take on the whole matter of Cinderella's continuity 😆. There are still options to go with.
@@2gredvisions8560 Even though you just created a whole CCU (Cinderella Cinematic Universe) with this one comment, i agree that they probably rewrote the second movie after making the third one, which is a bit obvious since it clearly wasn't planned. Still, if we're considering the option that another timeline was made, we know that Anastasia ended up meeting the Baker after Cinderella III judging by the end credits, so it makes sense for it to either take place afterwards or for her to meet him again in another timeline.

My list is 1/2 Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid you can’t make me choose between them they are my top 2 Disney princess films and Disney movies period. 3 Aladdin 4 Princess and the Frog 5 Tangled and my number 6 is Mulan so we share a lot of favorites

I ALSO saw this when I was 9 thinking it was some throwaway sequel but this had me kinda SHOOK like it was my comfort movie for a long while and kinda reinvents Cinderella into a badass girlboss without falling into the strong woman mary sue trope. Probably should've been a proper sequel with a theatrical release but oh well for a straight to video sequel this is TOP NOTCH.

Hi Sophia. Its me again, your fellow Brit here that mentioned the Governess lady's title in Cinderlla 2. So of course we know things title related...*flicks hair*.
So, Drizella, would probably get a title as either "Lady" or maybe even Princess as a stretch if Anastasia was made Princess based on the British system which are most likely. She could even get titles like Duchess or Countess or Baroness. It's usually at the discretion of the monarch or if the Government recommends someone for the Queen/King to approve.
However, what makes it more confusing is that since her mum is "Lady" Tremaine she would probably be able to hold that title in her own right as a hereditary title 🤔
Tbh, the British title system is very confusing especially when we have our House of Lords system in the mix. 😅

I remember being really confused as to where this takes place whether it's before or after the second movie or if one isn't as canon as the other. Other then that I always had fun watching this movie. Weird to have action sequences in a Cinderella movie but I'll take it. 😂 Also I don't know how many people might've noticed but in one of the portraits during the end credits, there's a picture of Anastasia and the baker from the second movie so that always made me happy that they're possibly a couple in this universe as well!

Happy late birthday Sophia! idkk if you'll read this but in the first movie the King had the idea of fitting the slipper to every girl in the kingdom but he ALSO told the archduke that he didnt care who fit it first, because the prince had already said he wanted to find her. I think in the training scene, the princes was convinced that the ship would ONLY fit the right girl, while the king was trying to make him be more realistic that the shoe could fit any girl while also remind him that he already promised to marry the FIRST girl to fit it. so! gives a bit more nuance to the king and the prince
27! So young! Don't feel old now, because that's just setting you up for feeling old the rest of your life. I'm not one of those people, I'll be a Toys-R-Us kid my whole life. But I know some friends who turned 40 or almost 40, and they are feeling super old, despite having 40+ more years left in life. But not me! I'm gonna stay young at heart and enjoy movies like this! I sing Disney song with the kids all the time, so I can attest that it's a great way to stay young. Oh, and happy belated birthday!

I think watching this last night is the reason I had a bonkers dream about watching the sequel myself, except in the dream Disney had made another sequel where the step sisters and step mother again stole the wand to time travel. I knew it was the wrong movie because Snow White was wandering around, Cinderella ended up with the magic mirror from Beauty and the Beast, and it was only 30 minutes long because most of it was still frames with narration over it rather than animated.
