This is the best demo I have ever witnessed of the SYB-5. You absolutely knocked it out of the park! Tastefully covered the range of the pedal without any talking as well?! A++
Excellent review, very well done. I especially appreciate the graphics showing the waveform visually for the different settings, nice job on that for sure. I have this pedal. In my experience, for what I play, it can be an all-star pedal for one important part of one song during a setlist. When I was in a pop band, I used it for a Katy Perry song, and it crushed it on doing that job. Didn't use it beyond that, but it was killer for that one thing. And with all of the different waveforms and knob twisting possibilities, you can make that "one thing" a lot of different things. Right now, it's not on my pedalboard because I'm in a classic rock band with a keyboard player... but I'm 100% hanging on to the pedal, because the next use for it will come up someday.
There are "better" synth pedal options out there these days but this is still my favorite one because of its simplicity and sound. Flaws and all...I love this thing. Combine it with overdrive, fuzz, an octaver, chorus or whatever and you get so many great sounds out of this little box.
Back when I started making electronic music, being on a budget I bought the first version of this pedal. It had tracking issues if it didn’t receive a clean note, so any glide or more than one note made it burp out nonsense. There was also a bit of latency when using the synth function. But, used correctly, it turned any cheap toy keyboard into a synth. I tended to use the envelope follower the most. Modern variants of this pedal have come a long way in terms of tracking and latency.
When i use this pedal with fuzz pedals it spits out random noises ,any idea how to stop this so i can use this pedal to synth up my fuzz tone Its for doom metal if that helps Can anybody help 🙏
Input - Instrument input Exp - Expression pedal input (to modulate some parameters, depending on the mode) Out A - Normal mono output or just the effect when Out B is used. Out B - Just the dry signal.

This made things clearer about this pedals controls
it's a pretty cool pedal. Wish I had ANY reason at all to use something like this.
Make one
@@williegates0 How would you go about making one? Think it through and outline it in a series of numbered steps for me.

Sometimes you have to create a reason
I've been experimenting with electronic rock. There are reasons as long as you're willing to step outside your comfort zone and do something different
Best demo of this pedal I've watched. 👍
O melhor Review que eu já vi desse pedal!!!
Congratulation

Good job, this vídeo is perfect to show how much is pedal is complex! Thank you!

This thing sounds awesome! Definitely gonna buy it
Damn, that's one cool demo!
Awesome video, thanks!!
This convinced me of getting this pedal!! :D
Amazing demo! I'm going to have to keep an eye out for one of these.
Very nice. I'm curious how this would sound with a big muff pedal.
Love this Chanel!
Awesome vídeo!
Great demo!! thanks!!
I wish you could also review the SYB-3 to have a proper comparison between the two. It's hard to find online a good video like this for it
I will for sure.
yeah.. really really well done! My bassest regards.. :)
Nice demo
Seems very groovy!
Aaargh, it burns, the tuning!
Always these syb things seem out of tune and the latency. Maybe the 5 is faster?

Its for doom metal if that helps
Can anybody help 🙏
Do you have it before or after your fuzz in the chain?
Whats for the export in/out for ?
Input - Instrument input
Exp - Expression pedal input (to modulate some parameters, depending on the mode)
Out A - Normal mono output or just the effect when Out B is used.
Out B - Just the dry signal.
@BassStuff I just bought a boss syth for bass snd I was wondering what ot was for thanks 😊
This is really cool. For about 3 minutes.
The electro Harmonix Mono Bass Synth is way better!
Except the EHX isn't polyphonic.
Sorry but I despise that insect sounding-like bass. I am more into the 2000's hiphop bass sounds
Thanks
