All are well executed. The 50 Fastback, love that body style, would be high on my list. Then I saw the 67 Ford....I love gassers too but I might be tempted to take this one back to a more stock stance and make a heck of a sleeper. Props to the Dart builder for the call out to the Ramchargers with the striped paint. As far as prices, let me quote Ted Lasso - "Like the doctor said when I got addicted to Fettuccini Alfredo, too rich for my blood" but they've all probably got more than that in these. Thank you as always sir ~ Chuck
Some gorgeous machinery in this video. Being a Brit I did like the 1948 Austin, to think they left the factory with 73 cu in and 40bhp, now look at it. Reminds me of a Mini Van drag car in the 80's that was running a 350 with a Ford 9 in rear, the sound and speed that thing got was epic.
You are correct sir, I knew it was an altered,a class of its own and not a gasser like most of these what I should have called street gasser style cars thanks for the correction and clairity
What a nice change of pace from the usual hillbilly hack jobs! All these gassers look fantastic and are done well! I think some of them look even better in yellow!
Cool video as always! 👍, There are a lot of awesome and unique gassers on this list, I like the 1955 Chevy Gasser, and the very cool Volkswagon, and that 1948 Austin, that's a car that I have not seen, and since I like Fords, I like that 1964 Ford Falcon, that is a very beautiful car, anyways, awesome video, keep them coming, 👍👌😎
I love watching these videos, they make me laugh. what truly makes me laugh though is your "I think this guy is dreaming on the price" Up here in Canada most of the cars in this video would be DOUBLE. 🤣🤣🤣
I want that '57 panel, I've never seen one turned into a gasser. If I had the $15,000 he wants for it, I'd try to talk the price down, but if I couldn't, I'd get it anyway!
The black Ugly Duckling 63' Dart is an Altered Wheelbase Car. It might be worth some bucks. I was about 12 when my big brother bought a brand new 66' metallic green 442 he took me to a few drag races.I will never forget the first time I saw an altered wheelbase car, I shook my & thought tht sure looks funny. Glad they had to start their own class, as they had an unfair advantage 😂
I found and bought a 1978 Chrysler cordoba; the horn works the lights and turning signals work seems like it shifts….. my wife is pretty upset cleaned out the mouse nests so I can sleep in there or the chicken coop if need be 😂 Had to drill out the trunk lock to pop it and there wasn’t any gold bars ….. so I guess it’s back to work tomorrow 😅
All nicely made(except for the "distressed" panel truck.) Pricing: all seem high, but I am not snapped into the market place now.....might be fairly priced All you builders? Good luck, everyone
What the actual F, how much! I liked the Austin, I've never seen one as a gasser but man alive, I think some of the sellers have been sniffing gas with the prices being asked 😮.
I'm thinking the 56 with a 5 speed is a manual! They talk about the clutch in the description and the picture of the interior shows an extra pedal on the floor.
You would think the person that built that sick little blue falcon gasser they wouldn't have used a 4160 which one of the cheapest Holley carbs you can buy. You can tell it doesn't have a secondary meeting block it had the metering plate, they work fine on a mild engine but kinda cheesy for a build like that.
I will admit that I am not a gasser fan. I just don’t like the way they look. I know that they are made to look like that for a certain reason but I just don’t like it. Still love your videos bro. Please keep them coming and blessings to you from England.
I love gassers - straight front axles and blowers bulging out of the hood are so cool. But the stiff ride and lack of visibility would piss off my wife for sure, as would any remarks about a stiff ride or a blower or a bulge or lack of visibility or gagging. Don’t even say “gasser;” she’d somehow work the word “queef” into the conversation and get pissed off, all on her own. She was more fun before feminism and mental-pause. All that aside, what a great batch of cars! I’d take any of them (except the Bug) for $40k or less, and at that price, they’re better than a lot of cars in the $6K range from your other videos. I expected at least one comedy car, like a straight axle Tesla - those guys are so humble at the strip (small voice in the background, “My gasser’s autonomous and has regenerative braking!”) The ’48 Austin would be my pick for the wife’s daily driver. It has four doors and I’d love to see her pack her mom and the kids on a Saturday morning for the weekly garage sale tour, just to watch them leave. White sidewall slicks are so “Pimp My Ride.” Riding in my gasser I might miss the nuclear Armageddon when it happens, with the noise, vibration, and non-traditional window tint color and all. I’m not a big fan of intimidating names painted on the sides either, although if I had a gasser, I’d have the name “MuffEater” done in black outlined gold leaf just to piss off my wife. I’m sure it’d make her jealous in some twisted way only she would understand. No marital problems here!
Funny when people try to act like their old car is low miles like 23,000 when they only have a 5 digit odometer. 99% have rolled over, that's why they needed restored.
I could be wrong but that dart looks like it is an original gasser with the wheels pushed foreward from the factory and that may be why he is asking so much for it ??? The last 2 chevys seemed to be wanting too much $ . Other than those 3 cars considering the price of a new car and inability to repair them that makes these cars desirable for the price . I know they're not meant to be daily driven however if i could afford the gas that would be the goal . I need to put my helmet back on now ,... it was preventing me from licking the screen 🤪
