@@Chiefyoung We did it ever year about, and this was in the early 2000. While in the water, we also had to take our boots off and turn our pants into a flotation device. We were told to have our summer PT's under it since it was co-ed.

The swim test isn’t a requirement to join. This installation just required it at the time and may not require it any longer.

Not at all. Is only for certain units or installations.

I got to Polk in 2015 and they hadn’t started this yet for in-processing, not sure if it’s still going on either.

We did that at Ft Liberty (Bragg) as well. Called it water landing training in the event we landed in water during airborne operations.
