- Ride along on the second day of our monster catfish adventure fishing the Mississippi. We get some rare secrets on humongous catfish from the lock-master himself and mega-battles play out in some of the scariest and most dangerous water EVER. Epic catfish for sure.
Second day was quite the experience! I had to edit down the fights to half the length of time and only show a few just to keep it under 30 minutes.

Just found your TH-cam channel. I fish the Mississippi & Missouri rivers (Alton / Woodriver area) also. I have a few videos on my TH-cam channel, but they are not very good quality/ no sound.

Great Video! Huge Fish....fish was probably 90-105lbs. Not130lb but still the fish of a lifetime.
Since i didnt weigh it im fine with any guess thats close--- ill settle on "massive" and a fish that doest fit the stereotypical outline or silhouette which makes accurate weight nearly impossible that kinda puts it in its own category such as the worn off or bitten off tail and the unusually massive skull and jaws. Ive caught and weighed other fish in the past approaching this calibur whose profile matches closer to the standard body style. In my opinion--granted- the length and girth ive settled on is different than i reported to the lockmaster since i tend to stay conservative on fish that havent been weighed.
Im fine sticking with it publicly. But in my best clinical judgment and opinion it is 61" long (giving minimum grace on how much tail was missing) and one more inch of girth to compensate for the massively oversized head) which puts it at 42" in girth. But i say again i will settle for just the barebones facts without compensation for the ridiculous proportions and stubby "worn off tail" which both are clearly seen in the video.

What kind of anchor was you using to hold you in that raging current??

Those rods are some of the heaviest made for catfishing. I only use them for big fast water blues-- they will take all the fun out of normal water catfishing and i think youre right about landing 100 pounders in that swift of current !
What Rod's are they.
@@jbolin105 they are surge rods-- 8' heavy action. Ive landed several fish over 100 pounds with them including one i filmed which ill be posting on youtube soon.
