I honestly didnt even know he did paramotoring until I saw this video and just had a big flash back to years ago when I would watch woody all the time. He is a true OG youtuber.
I love how uplifting this video was. I love how excited you get over little things like mechanical issues and this or that. I really needed to see something positive today, thank you, Woody.
This video filled me with joy. So happy to see that you're back out doing what you love after that injury. Looked like a great trip. And that stranger that helped you out gave me such a wholesome feeling.
I've been binge watching ALL your mail Monday's. It's crazy going from watching them in year 10, drinking monsters and playing COD. To be 21 , in a successful relationship with my own house . Thankyou woody
I haven't watched your channel in years. Not since the COD days. But, I saw you fly in and if you flew down towards Nags Head along the beach my parents have a video of you on their phone. I live in Kitty Hawk and we don't see many Paramotors come thru. Especially not the time of year you were there.
Last time I had an aerial view of NC I had a T-10C parachute on my back flying in a C-130. Awesome adventure video. Really enjoyed yours and marks documentation.
Hey Woody, really liked this one. Really captures the atmosphere of cross-country recreational flying. Showed it to my gf to give her an idea of how back in the day (if only I filmed more back then than I did) gliderflying the 'Euroglide' was in 2006.
Liked it before viewing - can't wait to see Woody's pics/comments on the flight Mark posted. Great to see a gang get together for an awesome expedition. X2 on the Real Adventure now that I watched your version - better than the prev. Icarus attempt in Florida. Got a little of everything in just a couple days.
I knew there was a reason I was up late! Well, besides the paracrackhead withdrawal twitches! About to watch this adventure unfold from the Woody perspective!
Me: speeds in air Air patrol: lights flare Me:pulls over Air patrol guy : you know how fast you where going Me: no sir :Air patrol guy : ok your free to go I don't even know
Looks like you nailed the adventure part. I know the feeling although not from a paramotor standpoint yet! The feeling of being at a never ever visited gas station talking to people you never knew or will know again and being dark even adds another layer to it all. Thanks for keeping us informed and keep living the dream!!!
Great flight guys. My friend and I fly trikes and were planning a trip from lenoir N.C. to Kitty Hawk. Awesome flight. I'm excited to get it going. New subber here.
Awesome flight! I've been to that beach shop exxon before. I was trashed! Anyway, kitty hawk is a real nice area. I go every year. You just earned another sub!
Woody, I’m just thankful that you are willing to show the botched landings....because I still have them occasionally! And I can totally relate to that bummed feeling when it happens. Great adventure! Great Video!
Great video! If I didn't know any better I would say you guys are training for next years Icarus Trophy?? Yeah, you guys are training for next year's Icarus Trophy!! Cool!
This is so cool. I hope when I'll 7000 years old I get to do cool shit like this. Kidding woody man this looks so cool. This is an adventure and that's what I want to do.
I know that your address has been public for a long time, Woody, but I had to try and find the compound once you gave a general idea of where it was. Then I looked for baseball fields that I knew were near your house (thanks para-vlog!) and what do you know, I found Casa De Gamertag. Glad to see you back up in the air my friend!! Can't wait to see some more para-vlogs.
You crack me up Woody. I'm sure we will meet in the future and I am looking forward to it. So few people realize how short life is and get to live it on this level. You are awesome! Never take adventure lightly!!!
His face looks really slim and seeing the acro from another point of view makes me really understand what he’s doing better and how cool it actually is
So do you notify airports that your landing? Is there some protocol that you use to alert them that your landing? Or do you just roll up on them no notice/warning. Love you vids. Thinking of getting one. Thank you!
It's dependent on the type of airspace they're flying in. FAR 103.17 states that ultralights (paramotors are considered ultralights) may not fly in Class A, B, C or D airspace. This means that the airspace the can fly in, E (with exceptions to certain airports) and G, usually tend to have uncontrolled airports. A radio is not required in these airspace's, it's just essentially see and be seen. As a pilot of any aircraft you are always responsible for seeing and avoiding other aircraft.
@@Alec.Miller ^ This guy nailed it. The route he took in to Kitty Hawk is completely absent of controlled airspace. That said, the only concern is getting closer to the sound, there's a set of restricted areas for military operations that you have to avoid (primarily inside Phelps MOA and the Dare County Bombing Range, as well as one piece covering portions of Albemarle Sound). He shot between those areas so the whole plan was just about perfect.
I was just introduced to the world of paramotoring like 20 minutes ago and I’ve been so fascinated by it! I’m curious what kinds of restrictions there are for flyers (such as height restrictions to avoid planes and such), and if you have to get a license or certification to do this on your own. Also, for people with long hair, how do you tie it back/out of the way without it getting caught in the fan? Cause a ponytail probably wouldn’t do, so idk. I’m honestly very interested in trying this someday.
@Yuck Foutube That couldn't be further from the truth? Do you think a paramotor is a 170ft yacht or something? Owning a paramotor is like owning a motorcycle in addition to your car. It's niche and usually just for fun. Nothing reserved for only the uber-rich by any stretch of the imagination.
I've been away from TH-cam for years now (not a content creator, I just used to follow a lot of people and now I'm slowly returning to you guys) and I'm glad to see you're doing awesome stuff man! Love the new change of scenery. I'll miss the gaming but there's still plenty of those around. I'm curios, how did you get started at this? You watched a video and thought hmm, seems something I'd like doing? I'm sure you did a video of it. I'll see if I can find it. Take care man, hope the family is well.
I know that you're doing new content now, but i truly miss the old cod wg channel. I have just been watching old videos of cod commentators. I just remember trying my heart out to get in your live streams, to get on mail mondays, and to just interact with your channel's community. Sadly my passion for CoD has pretty much died just like yours. I would love if u still did mail mondays, I think a lot of people really enjoyed that series
Nice. Grew up in NC and my little sister lives out in the woods east of Garner and I know your area well. You've got a good yard to take-offs and landings.
Yo he needs a pair of heelies
😂😂😂
Is it crazy that ive watched this guy go from cod coms, minecraft, stable, and now paramotoring.
how dare you not mention PKA ;)
Doesn't need to include pka as it's been going since the beginning think he's listing different channel type changes :)
Crazy hah...I only started watching him because of paramotoring. Maybe half a decade from now I will feel similar growth with him as you do
and now i know why his username is ending with gamertag
I honestly didnt even know he did paramotoring until I saw this video and just had a big flash back to years ago when I would watch woody all the time. He is a true OG youtuber.
This man used to give me advice on mail Monday as a preteen. I'm in my 20s now, time flies.
I like how it seems like woody finds crossing a creek sketchier than flying a fucking parachute thousands of feet in the air
That's because it is...
@@TheImmoralNosferatuZodd no its not lol
Watched this whole video without realizing it was woodysgamertag till i went to subscribe. Man, have the years flown
I did the exact same.. I remember gettin banned off this mans Minecraft server 😂 glad to see he’s still makin some dope content
Bu du tsss
same
I respect your restraint to not strap the paramotor on, hop on the buggy, and ride it to freedom
3:56 Tree... TREE!!! TREEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! Oh, thank goodness! I thought we were gonna get a Woody's eye view of splatting face first into that tree! lol
I love how uplifting this video was. I love how excited you get over little things like mechanical issues and this or that. I really needed to see something positive today, thank you, Woody.

How has life been treating you 3 years later my friend???!
i really want a paramotor/learn how to fly one now
Expensive hobby

One of the best paramotor vlogs to date 👍

NGL Woody been watching PKA for a few years but never really looked into this side of your work and it's pretty inspiring.
its crazy how entertained I was with this video. I felt like I was just as excited and nervous as you at times, great video.
I knew there was a reason I was up late! Well, besides the paracrackhead withdrawal twitches! About to watch this adventure unfold from the Woody perspective!
Kyle O'Glee I haven't been getting notifications for your videos man!
Top quality para-vlog! It's also fun "meeting" the para-buddies we hear about on PKA as well.
Enjoyed hearing how excited you were to be flying again. Looking better and better every video

Nice flight for all of you. I watched Marks as well, it makes for a great adventure. Woody, glad the ankle worked out well for this. Keep the wing up.
Paramotor vlogs weren't always my favorite but this one was especially good! Keep it up Woody!
If i'd fly 200 miles i'd be across my country lol.
Also to many airlines and to less open fields
Same for the Uk
Too*
In the US it would take 3000 miles to cross
Woody you're looking healthy as hell. Proud of you
That kind stranger is part of the reason that America is so great. He’s willing to help some random man that came from the sky.
Whoa this guys a paramotor channel now thats crazy🤣🤣
Great flight guys. My friend and I fly trikes and were planning a trip from lenoir N.C. to Kitty Hawk. Awesome flight. I'm excited to get it going. New subber here.
I've been following all of the paravlogs and this has been the best one by far! Great job, Woody!
Woody! Any chance we will get to see more adventure trip videos! They are the absolute best.
Idk what’s more nail biting the fact that he’s so high up there just chillin or him crossing the swamp
This was high quality! Best paravlog yet. Good cuts and kept the flow going
I can't believe I skipped out on these, they're so interesting! I think I know what I'm going to be binge watching tonight...
Excellent! What made me the most nervous was you guys walking on the board over the swamp!
Wow man I never knew you lived in the triangle area till now
Me too man!
Woody you are as good of a guy as red shirt guy. You have helped so many people in more ways than you can even imagine. Thank you.
You've inspired me to take on this hobby, once I graduate power engineering I'll have the freedom to do anything
Great video, Woody. Nags Head and Hatteras are in my PPG travel plans for next spring!
26:00 made me smile with ya. Great video bro. I hope i get to experience this during my time here.
It just hit me when he was flying and waiting for his friends. He was just dangling there, this is ridiculous I love it. Looks super fun!
With friends especially. Just go out and explore different locations
11:40 love that all the airport crew or pilots or whoever they were came out to check out the paramotors lol
Woody...the world is a better place with you in it! May you have tailwinds, sunny skies, and CAVU all the days of your life.
