I have to thank, or hate, TH-cam channels like this one for even being aware of that line. It was so monumentally unforgettable that I never noticed it in watching the film.

Shitting on George Lucas films is still somehow sheik or hipsterish. When will this fad come to an end? No-one brought the essence of comic books, pure exuberant visuals with SUPPORTIVE dialog, more to life than George Lucas. Stop acting like he nailed your sister and then dumped her. The guy made "American Graffiti." Shut up already about the sand and the Prequels.
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron is a good film because it closely resembles some of the best elements of George Lucas. Where there's mimicry, there's greatness.

Where is Tommy Wiseau's The Room? It had many examples of brilliant dialogue including...
    "Ha ha ha ha ha"
    "Hai Doggy"
    "You're Tearing Me Apart Lisa!"
"The barbeque chicken was delicious rice"
    "Cheep cheep cheep cheep"
    "Oh hai mark"
    "Me underwears"
    "What kind of money denny?"
    "I definitely have cancer"

+InsameFameNYC Yup, monologue, and breaks the pacing of the movie. That film seems to have some appeal to life long tarantino fans, but without being predisposed to the rambling and broken pacing (and TERRIBLE shots), there's really nothing there.
All that opening scene does is introduce the most meaningful character in a way which under minds her believably, thus making the whole movie feel more like a parody than anything else. It's essentially a not-funny attempt to at a Mel Brooks film. I don't regret seeing it a couple times, but definitely won't be going back.

For fuck's sake, can these guys at CineFix ever put a list together without including In Bruges?! Seriously. Concerning cinema, Pulp Fiction is unequaled in its ability to memorably string together dialogue that's relevant to the movie and the audience in ways that last beyond the final credits.

Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange and Dr. Strangelove are what everyone thinks Quentin Tarantino is but isn't. Quentin Tarantino's dialogue be overrated yo He has a lot empty talking (talking for the sake of talking) while good dialogue like A Clockwork Orange reads like poetry or a classic literature book where every line is significant, makes you think, and develops the story

The musings on art, desire and life are transcendent in this one, a masterpiece that asks more questions than it answers (as should always be the case). For wordplay - I can't believe you didn't mention, "The Court Jester" starring Danny Kaye - the poisoned chalice bit is classic, though the rest of the film is a bit flat. Also, for romantic banter (a category that seems to be missing) just about any of the Fred Astaire - Ginger Rogers films (especially Swing Time), or the first "The Thin Man" film with William Powell and Myrna Loy, or "His Girl Friday", or "Bringing Up Baby". I also think "Double Indemnity" deserves more than an honorable mention, as does "Casablanca". And for British film, you can't go wrong with "Hot Fuzz" a brilliant film that is not only a parody of American action films but whose actual plot harkens back to a particularly British type of horror film - the small village with a vicious secret (first seen in "The Wicker Man" starring Edward Woodward), but later a common trope found in a number of British television series and films (such as Doctor Who, Torchwood, Randall and Hopkirk Deceased (2000s version), etc.).

Really a shame how people always respond to these kind of videos by just pointing out films that "shoulda been in there". One thing I'll say though, is that while I understand your reasoning as to why foreign-language films aren't in there, I still personally would have dedicated a spot to them.
There are foreign films that are so well-written that even when you watch them with inferior, translated subtitles in English or some other language, the brilliance of the dialogue is still obvious. I don't speak Swedish, for example, but there is no way the dialogue in "Scenes from a marriage" isn't outstanding.
Keep up the good work guys!

I was expecting more mentions of Shawshank Redemption. Red's narration of Andy's long con and eventual escape, while not strictly dialogue, was still superb writing.
For my money, my fav's got to to be Vincent vs. Max in Collateral, in the scene where Max has finally had enough and calls Vincent out on his sociopathy, with Vincent INSTANTLY snapping back with calling Max a taxi psychoanalyst. Throughout the film it's been the ACTION that's borne the load of differentiating the insurmountable skill gap between Vincent and Max, and it wasn't until that verbal jousting scene where their difference in wit and articulation also comes into play. The words used were exquisite, but it's what's sitting on top of those loaded words that drives the scene.

Okay I'm sorry, did you say "hilarious child murder?" because that's amazing.

"That boy doesn't know his arsehole from his earhole." Ergh that's so wrong! I'm a born and bred Londoner and I think you'll find a real person would say "That boy doesn't know his arse from his elbow."

I think Sting is from further North, so that may be what changes his phrasing.

Stephen I'm from up north (Manchester) and lived in the North East for ten years and in my experience it would be arse from elbow, as arsehole tends to be used more alone as in, "You fuc*in' arsehole," or "the referees an arsehole."

But elbow is predictable and boring. Ear hole is new and fresh and, most importantly, funny.

spend so much time listening to the narrator and so little time actually hearing the great dialogue.

Some people say that Kevin Smith's dialogue sounds contrived. I disagree, I think the banter or monologues that Dante is trying to deliver to Randal in Clerks are fantastic

Uhhh, Shawshank and Green Mile.... Some of the most beautiful dialogue ever filmed!

Honestly that scene from Manchester by the sea has to be your number 1. So raw, and real.

A list without "The Mirror" or "Citizen Kane"?
Man, is everything okay? I'm a little worried..
