    *People keep commenting on my tone in this video. My tone is literally aimed at trolls commenting on my previous videos that are meant to be educational and answer REAL questions in the comments. Not address people being ignorant, mean, and rude. So if you're here for silliness please just keep on scrolling and quit it. Find something better to do with your time. I am happy to address and help look into real concerns, questions, and experiences with anyone asking REAL questions. I am not here to argue back and forth with ppl with nothing better to do than TROLL. Take it elsewhere, or better yet, ask yourself why you feel the need to even do it, and address THAT. Thanks.

    YOU ARE AWESOME! I've watched other videos to get info...but, your channel by far is the best. I'm on week 1 (day 3) of my Zepbound journey and you've been my lifeline for peace of mind, information and so much more.
    "THANK YOU" for being so transparent with your journey...I look forward to all of your videos (yes, I subscribed and hit the bell, too) 💜🌻

      I like to look into things before I start them. It took me a LONG time to "pick" which route I was going to go. Gastric surgery? ozempic? wegovy? saxenda? and I was studying mounjaro for WHEN I became diabetic, basically bc my weight kept going up SO much I was thrown into pre-diabetes and I felt ok that is where I'm heading so I'll join these mounjaro groups now and just "watch". then at the end of 2023 zepbound was approved for weight management and I waited to see the studies. I waited to see ppl going on it. it took me another 3 months to agree to go on it. People WANT information and it's not always readily available OR from someone being 100% honest. I'm a content creator, I know I people get paid to say products are great when they're not something they would ever use, gift, or even want. I'd rather just be upfront. Hopefully it can help people realize they aren't the only ones going through what they're going through. I still watch what other people on this are saying that are head of Me. what are they doing for maintenance? how fast or slow are they losing? where are there "hiccups" the most for people. If you ever have any questions just comment them on any of the videos. I'm more than happy to help look into solutions even if I'm not experiencing it. I can see if I find anyone else who is and what they did.

    5 mg works so much better on me, i take my second shot tomorrow. I’m went from 176 pounds down to 165.2 as of this morning. I cut down on bread, I was a big bread addicted, and my husband and I went out to dinner a lot and drink wine or cocktails before zepbound. Now I don’t buy bread, and only drink alcohol only on special occasions. We haven’t been out to dinner since I been taking zep. Which good on bills. We don’t have take out anymore and I just not that hungry anymore, I’ll eat chicken or eggs but I can only eat so much until I’m just not hungry anymore,It’s crazy, that I don’t overeat because of zepbound and yes, lots of water I drink

      i am at Disney this week. I have been watching my kids and husband OVER indulge on everything. Just watching them do it makes me shake my head. and I've been chugging cold water the entire time. I've had lobster, corn on the cob, shrimp, a steak, fresh fruit or smoothie etc. I have never been to Disney and not wanted all the snacks even on my other ways of life where I cut sugar. I always had to say "well I'm at disney" and have a churro or waffle or cookie or ice cream etc. We went to breakfast with characters. I had egg bacon and fruit and was SO HAPPY and full.

    Thank you so much for sharing your personal experience with Zepbound. I’m glad that you found a clinic that’s providing a holistic approach as well as assisting you with locating the medication. I’m currently on my second dose of the 2.5 mg. I lost 6 pounds on my first week and will be weighing myself tomorrow to see the progress for week 2. The side effects I experienced on the first days were fatigue and vivid dreams. On day 2 I had flu like symptoms that disappeared by the 3rd day. On my second week I started experiencing constipation but I have addressed it. I’ll be checking in with my clinician tomorrow. Congratulations on your progress and on the improvement of your inflammatory blood markers. Best wishes on your upcoming trip.

      A lot of that … dreams, constipation, fatigue I went over in previous weeks and then options to help it! I have just weighed myself today and was shocked by how much I had gone down just since Wednesday going backwards to the 2.5 mg. I was weighing myself only every Wednesday. The clinic recommended taking multiple weigh ins to get a better idea of what I was actually losing bc my cosentyx injections make me spike up every month. I do see the method behind their madness now. Good luck!!!

    Thank you for answering my question. Your explanation and honesty is appreciated. I’m scared of these shots not knowing long term affects. I have Hashimotos, high BP, high LDL so I think I’ll talk to my doc and see if the risk is worth it. I’m a WW for yeeears. Gained back each time. I honestly think my doc didn’t adjust my Synthroid correctly after losing 50 lbs. I’m so tired of my overweight-ness 😢

    • @KetosisMom
      @KetosisMom  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was on thyroid meds - off thyroid meds - back on them again etc. It can affect you being on the wrong thing as well. Ultimately my Dr's decided that since my autoimmune treatments were making me gain weight continuously, I had to do something extreme to combat that. bc I need to be on them to not have pounding joints, a hip that "sticks", and walk basically. But for me at what point of gaining weight would I not be able to walk or move from excess weight. Cosentyx does not say it causes weight gain but yet I gained 40+ lbs no matter what I did or ate. And I found an autoimmune group that more than 50+ ppl that all said after gaining 35 lbs on cosentyx their Dr moved them to another drug where they then were able to lose all but 15 lbs. A lot of drugs don't list ALL the side effects. What drug company wants to say "our drug will make you gain weight" they wouldn't have anyone taking it. A lot of people that DONT need these glp1 /Gip drugs are taking them to lose less than 40 lbs. I don't understand that. But I do get people who are at a risk of other diseases by being overweight taking them. for me it was "do I want to have a heart attack, not be able to walk from so much weight, be at a higher risk of cancer and other diseases by having all this weight on me....or do I want to take the side effects and get the weight off and try and figure it out later how to maintain?"

    The problem with giving people a placebo to test the success after zep is that those people aren't mentally planning and focusing on getting off the med. I dunno the study seems flawed in that way.

    • @KetosisMom
      @KetosisMom  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am going to be honest. I am on week 27 now and I do not remember what this is in reference to. I'm going to have to go back and look to be able to give any kind of response haha

    • @KetosisMom
      @KetosisMom  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I went back but I'm still not positive what this is in reference too.
      Placebo in clinical trial tests is to have a control group. If someone is on a placebo they should be doing everything the same as if they were on the drug.
      Everyone has told me while on this drug you are to modify all of your actions - eating, exercise, water intake etc everything to how and what you SHOULD be doing even without the drug. So if people aren't modifying their behaviors and routines while on these drugs just bc they think they're on the drug and "it will do the work" then they are going to gain once they get off. The meds are there to aid people in behavioral modifications and also to help your body basically relearn how to process things correctly. When you correct insulin resistance for instance, ideally your body should not be in the same metabolic state anymore down the road to continue not using insulin + glucose properly. You have to build muscle while on these drugs or you will lose it and it's the hardest to get back. I have seen SOOOOOOO many people at the start of this school year legit without a butt. As in its not there. there is NO booty anymore. So I'm walking, doing bridges, squats, lunches, all the exercises I can to try and build muscle behind where fat is being lost to combat this. I'm too big in the front to also not have anything in the back 😆 Placebo coming off the drug is just to test did people make modifications to try and do the typical "eat less move more" and does it work? what everyone is finding though is for some people eat less and move more doesn't work even with weight off. which places obesity into a "disease" disorder that has to be treated. Most individuals will be on a small dose of this drug for life.

    • @meyeame8956
      @meyeame8956 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@KetosisMom I understand your point, and i appreciate the discussion, and I agree, those people that aren't changing their habits, relying solely on the drug to do all the work, will be lifers, no doubt!!! That's not really what I was getting at though. Please take the following viewpoint and analogy into consideration: ...
      A person gets into an accident and is bed ridden. They spend years in therapy practicing skills and conditioning themselves to use a crutch to get around rather than being bedridden, then they learn to use a walker after much hard work, strength, and skill building. Now, to get them to walk on their own, without a cane, crutch, or walker, do you just take their walker away one day with zero additional prep? Hell no. They need to train, strengthen, and hone their skills further, gradually putting more and more weight on their own body to learn how to do so. Imagine giving them a 'fake' (placebo) cane/walker that just crumples beneath them without any warning!!!! - they'll simply fall flat on their face!! Then that concludes "well, they failed at walking, gonna have to use a walker the rest of your life, sorry." Nah that's not fair.
      My point being, learning how to eat right and exercise while using a drug to assist is not the same as learning how to eat right and exercise without using a drug to assist. They are different skills and any person deserves the ability to try and SLOWLY learn to stand on their own two legs with proper training. They shouldn't be discouraged to try and do so because some clinical trials that suddenly ripped the walker right out from under them concluded they `failed at walking`. We can't use a trial that doesn't focus on tools for success to be a measure of success. Everyone has the power to do it, and we should enrich that drive to succeed. People have successfully beaten obesity far before this drug existed, so there is no reason people can't succeed still, with or without it. I'm sure Lilly would love everyone to be lifers though :D
      Anyways, I appreciate the discussion on this, and I think a lot of it really just comes down to the INDIVIDUAL and their goals and their ability to handle recovery from the drug and from bad lifestyle habits. I still think it's invalid to just drop a placebo on someone without prepping for it at all, they're going to just fall on their face when their walker crumples below them.

    Insomnia and vivid dreams can occur during or after a huge life change. It is not necessarily because of the drug itself.

    • @KetosisMom
      @KetosisMom  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't find it a "coincidence" that everyone who reports this out on the group pages are having the exact same effects within the first few weeks of loading doses. If you get on any group forum and search "insomnia" or "dreams" you will see just how many are reporting this out. This is like someone saying "cancer can be caused by anything..." when a whole group of ppl taking the same drug develop a specific cancer. 🙄

      @@KetosisMomas a researcher, I'm trained to consider 'third variables.' These are variables that are linked to both of the other variables and may be the causal agents. A famous example is the robust finding that crime rates go up when ice cream sales go up. Obviously there is not a causal relationship between the two. I was not trying to discount your experience or anyone else's experience. Good researchers (and good doctors) always consider as many factors as they can rather than jumping to conclusions about causality,no matter how 'correlated' two variables are. I was not implying coincidence. Rather I was suggesting other mechanisms may account for the relationship.

      @KetosisMom  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @brendaellis105 Always, I agree. And ... as I know most researchers will do, and are OFTEN paid to do in clinical/pharma, is "find another reason that's there to make it an outlier or irrelevant to this study". Knowing that this drug tirzepatide does effect the brain, there are lots of studies on how and I'd like to know in what way etc. I was stating last week that I am shocked there is not a sleep study research team wanting to study the insomnia or vivid dreams as an outcome to taking this drug. And why it would do this , for how long, etc. I mean when I was in college I had to help count how many times a crayfish was attacking another one in research lab - aggressive behavior study. 😳 lol

    • @KetosisMom
      @KetosisMom  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think I realized that my videos that are meant to be informative and show what I researched or found or experienced are bringing ignorance out of the weeds to "troll". It is very annoying when you take the time to put things like this together (outside of your paid work) for people to decide to act foolish and be rude. I don't think I'll ever get why people feel the need to even make comments. I've been a content creator for a long time, I even have people get onto my livestreams on Amazon and make fun of me the entire time I am on there and Amazon moderators have to block their comments. You may be the first person I have seen say they get through the VA. Do you have to go in each week for them to administer or you just pick up the prescription etc? I worked at a VA as my very FIRST job right out of college.

    • @johnmossjr1898
      @johnmossjr1898 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @KetosisMom Don't let all the trolls get to you, most of us including myself enjoy the content. As far as my shot goes, I actually had to make a nutritionist appointment first and they recommended it to my doctor after 3 or 4 appointments and I wasn't losing weight. I was actually shocked because a lot of providers at the VA disapprove of the shot but apparently mine doesn't. They actually send me 4 injections for the entire month and then automatically send the next month. I also worked at the Philadelphia VA hospital right after I got out of the Army. Thank you again for your videos, looking forward to the next one.

      @KetosisMom  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @johnmossjr1898 Interesting. But I will say I like how they did that. Seeing nutrition first, trialing things and then progressing on. That should likely be how access to these (even compounded) should be. I know a lot of women where I live are going to a GYN who is just writing scripts like crazy for these and then they receive compounded sent to their home. A lot of them weighed maybe a buck fifty and they're trying to get back to the 120s from college. I think a lot of ppl are on these that likely shouldn't be. I saw a comment asking "how many real housewives are on ozempic?" - reality shows. And they responded "all of them". I was seeing an Internist, 2 different endocrinologist, a GYN AND a GI specialist that wanted me to look into gastric sleeve/bypass. I HATE surgery. And when I started diving into that route people were having complications. I looked at groups of autoimmune people who did this as well and the responses were even worse. I spent 2 years+ trying everything I could without success. I finally gave in to taking these. But I am a "data" person. I want to know as much as I can about things before I jump in.
