"That moment" is one of the few that I keep revisiting to this day, just because of how impactful it is. Definitely peak Steven Universe, and moments like that are what really made me fall in love with the show

Even with everything we now know about Rose the tape at the end of Lion 3 has always been one of my favourite scenes in the entire series. Rewatching it there’s an extra layer of bittersweet feelings knowing that Steven’s perceptions of his mum are going to drastically change from the awe and melancholy depicted perfectly in Lion 3
That tiny little moment in Rose's Scabbard, while both Steven and Pearl are riding Lion, and she looks down at Steven, it always clutches at my heart. What did she think? What did she feel? What are we supposed to make of it? Great analysis, I love all your work on this show.
And a later obviously shows that at some point lion died and rose brought them back to life... Considering how much lars is like lion... Also wondering how long lars is going to live, and quite possibly he could outlive Steven...
Those episodes are the reason why the show stuck to me for the rest of my life, I watched the show since release but didn't connect so strong with it until these episodes, they're the peak of the series for me
Thank you for this video, I remember watching Lion 3 when I was 15, right after it came out, and I felt the same enraptured feeling that Steven did. Seeing Rose speak and move and connect over years of absence for the first time was such an incredible moment. And Rose's Scabbard, I was obsessed with this episode for years later. I felt so deeply for Pearl at the time. I'm happy I get to watch these videos with your analysis, I feel like I am experiencing the episodes and these emotions another time. Have a good day!
I'm from the UK but luckily watched the original version of the series. I'm glad, because they seemed to censor random parts of jokes and some of the more dramatic moments.
