  • David Baddiel, Ed Gamble, Jo Brand, Katy Wix and Rose Matafeo attempt to hide 3 aubergines from Little Alex Horne, who must find them as quickly as possible.
    ------------
Follow the show at / taskmaster
Become a fan at / officialtaskmaster
Get the Taskmaster book and board game: taskmaster.tv/...
    ------------
In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Fun fact: raw eggplants aren't poisonous in any reasonable amounts. The deadly dose is 400 mg of that toxin, while the whole eggplant doesn't contain more than 13 mg. Just don't eat leaves and other plant parts, because those are waaay more toxic. Same goes for raw potatoes, except potatoes can turn green when exposed to sun - in which case never eat them raw, you're gonna get poisoned. Cooking them is fine though

Before watching this, I'm reminded of the pineapple one, which was really easy to cheat through, right? And there isn't any more clarification given. So you could just chop up the aubergines, eat 1 bit, and scatter the rest throughout the room. And he has to find all the pieces right, because who's to say that all the pieces Alex finds aren't from just 2 of them? So he must find all the pieces. You also eat a small piece of one, or a small piece of all three even, so if he doesn't say that you've consumed part of one, or consumed a part of all 3, then he hasn't technically found the aubergine.
Thought they'd add a rule to prevent this!

They are of the nightshade family, which means they contain solanine, but so so are potatoes, tomatoes and peppers. To be harmed by the amount of solanine in a raw eggplant/aubergine you'd have to consume as many as 32 of them.

Click "Read more" to view the full correct solution to this problem. Take the knife, the tape and one of the books from the bookcase. Cut a slice off one aubergine. Carve a chunk out of the interior of the aubergine, then stick the slice back on using some folded-up tape. It needs to pass a superficial glance, but not necessarily a close inspection. Cut a hole through the pages of the book, leaving the covers and also the first and last page intact. Put the chunk in it, use some tape to bind the pages together. Put the book back where you found it. Stuff the paper you cut from the pages in your pockets. Leave the task, the repaired aubergine and one other aubergine on the table. Place the third aubergine out of sight, but in a more obvious hiding spot than the bookcase. Leave the room, through the window if possible, and run far away.

My first thought was to hide them in alex's clothes, then it was revealed he were the one supposed to find them. So next logical thought is "I suppose you just hide them in your own clothes, then when he is let into the room to look for them, you exit it (with them) and leave him to it.
Oh, it isn't enough to find one of them and he needs all of it? Then I simply have to hide 1 (or a piece of 1) in my clothes before leaving.

If those little file cabinets can open, stash slices in the empty spaces behind the drawer after opening.
Put half in a drawer to throw him off and waste time opening all the others.
The baby head was brilliant, so that gets the other half.
If wrecking the couch is allowed (kinda looked like the cushion was cut up, but not sure), slice open the upholstery underneath the couch and slide slices in.
Tape one slice to the underside of the table and one to the picture's nose.
Smear a slice all over the door and wherever else you have time and place it in the envelope. If Alex asks about the smell, say exactly what you did. Once he sees the envelope, tell him that's the one you used.
