Glad you guys weathered the storm well !! Paraders to those that weren’t so lucky !! I was in 5 hurricanes when I lived in Florida !! I don’t wish it on anybody . As for the bee keeper , I think it’s special !! I want the 4 otter knives you have there !! Those are my favorite of their lineup !! Thanks for the video !! Take care brother !!
Those knives strike me as the kind of thing that would be gifted to someone for a special occasion. Then that " normal" person (not knife collector) would just love and use that one knife for a lifetime and never need another. Just an absolutely perfect pocket knife.
Over here in Blighty we don’t have to deal with anything like that. It’s never too hot, never too cold. We don’t know how lucky we are! I’ve the 3 rivet and an anchor, but not bee. I’ve some other Otters though. Great knives.
I miss slipjoint guy, he did post a video on youtube about a week ago, and for some odd reason even though I am subscribed to him I never got a notification that he posted a new video. I have some Bokers (made in Germany) and some Otter-Messers, and I have to say that the Otter-Messers have better quality control. Glad to hear that you survived the storm.
That knife looks awesome, and those three otters together make a hell of a handsome group. Glad the worst part of the storms missed your place, my friend. Maybe that bee really is lucky!
Glad to hear you got through the storm OK. Hope your boxer is doing a little better. That is a good looking knife. Like the blade on all 3 knives you are showing in this video. You got a really nice collection there. Never had a Bee give me good luck but if that is the way they see it sounds good. All I ever get is stung. Appears very well made. Enjoy your new knife.
I am so glad you are all ok after the storm Pete . I like the Beekeepers knife , i think it is a fantastic piece , i would be extremely happy to own one . I like German knives , always well made they are .
Yeah Mark I’m blown away by these knives they are fantastic……. This is the same way all my collections start I just take to a knife and it’s it that beekeepers knife is unreal thanks bud
Hey Pete I just had a little water in my basement in Central Jersey not to bad,my son in Ewing had a tornado near him,and the town of Rahway next to me in Avenel exploded this morning from a gas leak.
My prayers go out to everyone who got hit hard by the storms - That Bee Keeper is sweet!, you got 2 nice Buckthorn covers, some are full of knots. Show us what it looks like if you decide to treat it later. Mine has Plumwood covers, which are aging beautifully & the brass is getting a really nice patina on it. Nice Score Pete👊😎🤜
No no patty there not GEC quality but it’s in a different way of cutlery they are so far from each other the the quality and the collectably is on the same platform!!!! Patty I can tell you this your a big traditional knife guy simply put get one I’m telling you get one!!!!!!
I love this knife and I definitely plan on getting one. I got a Puma knife out of Solingen recently but I think this will be my next Solingen. I love it every time you show it! Thanks man! Glad you made it through that crazy weather 👍🤙
Wow! Absolutely beautiful knife!! Everything about it is gorgeous!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again....I absolutely love your channel, but it is horrible for my wallet! 🤣 I have to have one of these!! Big thanks to you Pete for sharing this one. Also....happy to see y'all made it through the ugly weather!
Just watching this video. I agree with you on the quaility. I collect both GEC and Otter-Messer, and the high end Otters are every bit as good as GEC in my opinion, with the understanding they come from a very different design philosophy. GEC UNXLD is all about the bells, whistles and frills, while the Otters are very understated in design. I have never had an Otter come in that didn't have the highest quality fit and finish, no gaps, no blade play, grinds perfect and blazingly sharp. Every GEC I have collected except one I had to re-profile and sharpen, and I will never buy another GEC lockback. I have 3 Beemasters, 2 are safe queens and 1 is a daily driver and I absolutely hammer it, so much so the Bee etch has worn off. Otter offered to re-etch, but I cannot do without it. Just currently received an Otter 07 in Stag, and I thought the GEC 23L was the perfect knife until I got my hands on this thing!
@@jerseyknifeguy6382 it's sweet. Those who can't see that are beyond reach. Don't even try to convince them it's a great knife. They just don't get it. Probably never will.
Just went and bought one pal, if that says anything about what I think of it! I see a bunch of others I want as well, but they'll have to wait for another day.
Just ordered a sea buckthorn bee master and a otter Finn in curly birch direct from otter Messer, not sure how long the delivery will take from Germany but I can't wait to get them in my hands the Finn especially I think will be the perfect bushcraft knife to go along side my casstrom Lars falt scandi slip joint I have high hopes seeing as I just dropped 300 euros on the pair so hopefully I'm not disappointed lol
Good to here that you are okay Pete, i've seen pictures on the news and those looked bad buddy. I hope your boxer is still with you. The Bee Keepers knife from Otter Messer is beautyfull, not many of those are on the market. Thank you and stay well brother.
