In may case the battery was the issue ( i dont have angle sensor).

yes it’ll either turn on the yellow or red steering wheel light, red is total loss of power steering, yellow is lower assistance and will either need new module or recalibration via vcds.

i took my interior apart, and found that my car does not have steering angle sensor!
still the OBD tool says 07778 Steering angle sensor.
Main problem is ESP-light and tire pressure light on instrument panel are permanently on.
This happened after driving with incorrect wheel alignment, after collision with sidewalk
