    Great review Mike. If I'm going through the effort of polishing glass to prep for a coating. 6 months of durability is tough to swallow. Especially for us who's vehicles are in the elements and a daily driver.

      Thanks. I did get back information back from Will at B&B and he stated the 6 month claim is conservative. Most are using drying aids so that will help.

    Dope review my brother. Inspiration is expensive. Especially as you said for something that you most likely will be applying after 4-6 months again. If using the wipers and raining. But great to know that you’ve had success with armour and P&S.

      Thanks. At one point inspiration was affordable then they raised their prices on their coatings. It does work good but for the price there are other glass coatings that will do the job at a more affordable price.

    Good video. Just applied Apex Detail BC1 and their BC5 glass coating to my wife’s Compass. Durability shouldn’t be a problem as it’s a weekend car that sits under a carport but looking forward to the hydrophobics on the windshield.

      Thanks. I heard good things about the Apex glass products.

      Great vid... I've never heard of the jade coating... wonder its comparable to the adams glass coating... blended by the same. I just took off gyeon quick view.. lasted 4 months or so and bought bc5 ... apex glass sealant... went on super easy...I'll see how long I get, but it was so simple that even if lasts 2 months, it would be fine...

      @@barrybij8079 Thanks. Jade is the house brand for B&B. It is no secret that B&B blends for many brands including Adams
      I recently reached out to my contact at B&B as the JAde coatings were reformulated earlier this year. There is some truth that the coatings share the base chemistry but for example Adams is aimed at the consumer and Jade is aimed at the professional. Thus the Jade coatings have been designed to contain more solids than the Adams coatings.
      I am hoping Eddie gets in touch with Will and / or Chris from B&B to discuss all of this on the podcast as I provided Eddie the contact information.
      I have used Jade coatings in the past and I had good results with their previous Jade Graphene Pro coating. I will be venturing more into the Jade line.

    I reapplied a new bottle of Diamond Glass and it seems slightly better and less tacky this time, maybe it was tweaked, but still requires more speed than slicker products. Torn on it because it is a really nice application and beads super tightly and uniformly, but they just don’t move that easily. It has never caused me wiper judder despite not being slick so that’s good I guess. I wonder if slickness is inversely correlated to abrasion resistance in these glass coatings.

      hopefully they reformulate all of their coatings.

    Some of the mentioned products are difficult to buy in the UK, Glacò ultra is what im using its seems ok, it doesn't seem to shift bucket loads of water from the screen at 30mph, id like to see soft99 work on that a little. What are your thoughts?

    • @MikeGDetailing
      @MikeGDetailing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      i have not used glaco but it seems to get a lot of praise. I understand where you are coming from on products not readily available in certain parts of the world. I am not exactly sure which products are available in the UK but i believe you have access to Gyeon and Gtechniq. I have not used any of their glass specific coatings but I hear Gtechniq G1 is good and durable but not the easiest to work with. Gyeon has View and Quick View. Quick View gets praise for its ease of use and hydrophobics.
      Do you have access to Adams? They have their graphene glass coating which shares the same base chemistry as this Jade Amethyst with Jade being the professional side of things.

      @MikeGDetailing We do get a lot of product from the US, Adam's, Griot's, P&S. Prestige car care do most of their range. We don't get the smaller niche brands like you guys, although we do get those small pop-up UK based companies that jump onto the band wagon but seem to disappear after 18 months. Ultra Glacò is really good, I've got it on my daily driver Honda Civic Type S GT and my GFs car 2021 MX-5. I'm using Carpro flyby fortè (version 2021) on my 2022 Toyota GR Yaris similar to the GR Corolla (we [UK] can't get the GR Corolla and you guys [US]can't get the GR Yaris- both lightweight 4WD 280+ HP) anyway, flyby fortè seems like a similar coating to Ultra Glacò but I think the later will be more durable. It would be interesting to see what you make of Ultra Glacò. They make a really good compound surface cleaner/ prep that removes any previous sealants and lay a surface for Ultra Glacò. Glacò DX seems to be more water repellant at low speeds but it's not as durable, Ultra could do with a V2 update to make the product more water repellant but keeping the durability. DX could make a good topper.

      If you're in the UK and want to try a glass sealant not a coating, I bought Infinity Wax Diamond Vision and was very impressed. The durability is not great, but oh man does it sheet the water at low speeds/angles.

    Don’t tease me Mike how does it compare to armour

    • @MikeGDetailing
      @MikeGDetailing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha. From an ease of use application standpoint I give it to Jade with its smooth wipe off. Armour goes on thick so it definitely has some substantial solds in it which is giving me a good feeling that it will last a long time. Hydrophobics I give the slight edge to Armour but not by much. Jade is pretty cost effective at $45 for 60 ml's though.

    Outside of dpt window coating not moving water at slow speeds, it
    didn't like being sprayed with anything other than a cleaner.

      @MikeGDetailing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes it was pretty picky with spray detailers.

    What’s your favorite glass coating for a daily driver (Most durable coating)?

    • @MikeGDetailing
      @MikeGDetailing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Artdeshine or P&S. But Armour Detail Supply is doing great this far and it’s become my goto. I will be applying Armour to my brother’s truck.
