Went to CCD and grew up Catholic. Heard all of the canon stories from home and church and the apocryphal ones from late night wikipedia binges, you know the ones. About Lot and offering his daughters to the people, from what I was taught it had to do with the law of hospitality which was a big deal in those times. If I remember correctly, not opening one's home to strangers and offering them succor was like committing a mortal sin, and the host has to meet all of the guests' needs. The law of hospitality had something to do with the distance between settlements and dangers on the road so if one didn't help travelers who came to stay, one was essentially killing them.
It's deeply strange to give your children stories like this to read. Of all the literature in human history, Catholics have their kids read violent iron age myths rooted in primitive superstitions. And none of them question it. Bizarre.
I remember almost all of these being taught before I was 8. Didn't scar me either, learned alot about evil rulers and evil people. I'm not perfect but these stories definitely help you get closer.
The zombi army was actually not a scary story! Its actually a story about Gods power and its not a zombie army its actually people coming back to life and being real people
So if something goes from dead to living, is that not what we refer to when we say zombie? I mean I refer to Jesus as a zombie, not because he was a cannibal but because it’s said he came back from the dead
As a non-believe it kind of amazes me how many Christians have never read the whole Bible. You’d think if there was a book containing the answers to all of life’s most important questions reading it would be the first thing on your to do list.
You should’ve also included the story about Moses & the Israelites cutting off the heads of the other Israelites after Moses came back down from the mountain with the 10 Commandments.

Still, I love how the show and the narrator weaves the tales with their words. Nicely done.
I've been reading more and more and learning the Bible. I've discovered a few scriptures that aren't talked about. I find it amazing how the Bible is supposed to be literal but some of these stories or scriptures we would never do

@@thepanda1044 Hi! Don't get me wrong. Murdering the children are really scary of course but then if you look at it in a wider scope, eating their children are due to the results of famine which is due to war that took place. But that doesn't mean the Bible is promoting killings, cannibalism etc. It never sugar coats the reality that these things took place in the past. The context here is the age, when and where it took place. So to get it in the right context, people before are less civilized and mostly but not all express their authority through wars and not through peace talks just what we do in the modern days. It is also during that time that people ways of looking for food are limited maybe that's why they opted that to survive. We also know that, regardless of how broad Christ’s atonement is, it is limited in some respect-it is effective only for those who believe (John 3:18). John 10 provides more insight into the issue of whom Jesus died for. In that passage we see that Christ died for His sheep (John 10:11, 15). Also, all who are His sheep will come to Him (verses 4 and 27), and they are kept secure in Christ (verses 28-30).
@@howardoller443 But this God already knows who will believe or not, or be 'natural men' or 'reprobates' and so on, or who'll have their hearts hardened.
And spoils the ending too, in Matthew 7:14, and maybe in Zephaniah 1 to 3, also.
That did not look all that universal, to me.
Also, why should descendants of medieval Spanish Jews, believe you, at purely verbal claims, so far?
And my specific use of scripture was about how cheaply death was seen, applied, or dealt in - whether as 'chastisement' or not.
Sometimes of entire families.
I wonder what age some of the youngest, so struck, were.
And it's not just effective only for those who believe - they preferably have to UNDERSTAND it, too.
And just maybe, why Satan is owed anything, also - perhaps.
I so appreciated this segment! Thanks!
Growing up going to church I heard literally every one of these stories.
Do you believe them?
The zombi army was actually not a scary story! Its actually a story about Gods power and its not a zombie army its actually people coming back to life and being real people
I remember that
Imagine CNN reporting on this!
So if something goes from dead to living, is that not what we refer to when we say zombie? I mean I refer to Jesus as a zombie, not because he was a cannibal but because it’s said he came back from the dead
@@leadwater6350 zombies are undead. Christ was resurrected fully to life
And everyone is just fine with believing an impossible story like this...
As a non-believe it kind of amazes me how many Christians have never read the whole Bible. You’d think if there was a book containing the answers to all of life’s most important questions reading it would be the first thing on your to do list.
You should’ve also included the story about Moses & the Israelites cutting off the heads of the other Israelites after Moses came back down from the mountain with the 10 Commandments.
im pretty sure they were just made to drink liquid gold
@@eggsac8882 God told Moses & others in Israel to slaughter the Israelites who didn’t obey the laws.
@@eggsac8882 heh
Nah they butchered thousands
And don't forget how Moses made the people drink the golden calf. He melted the golden calf and mixed it with water and made the Israelites to drink it

None of these stories are hidden. My parents and church teachers taught us every one of them here and even more disturbing ones that aren’t in here.
The infographics show:Video is about bible stories
Also infographics show: Papias said
Edit: the third story is widely known by many kids and people, everyone knows it
Infographics being anti christian with their unreliable sources this days hahah. And they are afraid criticizing other religion like islam haha

Solomon’s baby trick actually was taught in Sunday school! At least when I went

"There's nothing horrible in the Bible!"
-People who have never read the Bible.
History doesn’t exactly have a fairy tail ending
The Bible is rated R.
We are all horrible and the Bible tells us about the Truth Jesus Christ who died for us so that we may be saved.
Of course the bible has stories of many wicked pagans and the lord who is holy and righteous dealt with them the way he saw was best be becasue he is perfect and righteous
Those stories have moral meaning behind it
I mean, where do you think "Eat the Rich!" comes from? It comes from the Bible and taking Micah's words and using them as a rallying cry defining that now the Poor were coming after the Rich.
Growing up Catholic (and I see it mentioned many other times in this thread), I had heard just about all of these before. Still, I love how the show and the narrator weaves the tales with their words. Nicely done.
I've been reading more and more and learning the Bible. I've discovered a few scriptures that aren't talked about. I find it amazing how the Bible is supposed to be literal but some of these stories or scriptures we would never do
Not everything in the Bible is literal, some are parables some are spiritual and some have different contexts which one would never be able to understand unless you're reading the Bible with the Holy spirit
@@thatweirdosimpingfor2dchar911 Good, now get Torquemada, slavery apologeticists, several Popes, and Augustine to do the same... oh, sorry... too late, isn't it?
And what context do you interpret the Balaam story to be? Or the 2 Samuel 24 one?
And I suppose, eventually, this all comes around to Titus 1:14 - albeit much too late.
Infographics show is the home of learning made fun....love the narrator....voice, jokes & all
The Bible is just a comic book without illustrations
I love your videos. They are always really interesting and informative. Very entertaining. Thank you. Keep up the good work
Didn't know these were hidden. I've heard these stories since I was a kid and still hear em. Don't know why the modern day church is tryna hide it
I love your channel keep up the great stuff!!
''because what good story doesnt have boiled kids in it'' lol
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
Plz do more of these videos. The Bible is a wild place, full of wisdom, absolutely! Also full of crazy too and it's that crazy that has had me scratching my head for most of my life. I grew up Catholic, but consider myself non-denominational now.
Still, I think it's good for ppl to hear the real stories of the Bible cuz it's not all sunshine and rainbows, it's a dark place where if you walk talk your parents you're going down. Thanks infographics show!!
Pretty sure Pastors and Priests alike talk about how dark the bible can get as well
There is a reason why Its the most selling book... It can influence people to be the best like Jesus or something opposite
As and Adventist Christian I can say I love the Bible and my parents are always willing to explain what I don't understand. The Bible is by no means A "dark book" it just records stuff that actually happened and the fact y'all can't talk to your parents without getting put down speaks to their character and has nothing to do with the Bible itself...
Idk how people take anything from the Bible as real
It's hilarious, christians swear their book of fairytales is the one true book and all other religions are false 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can't imagine being that dense
I can say the same thing about the big bang THEORY lol. But I have faith and there is also alot of evidence that proves the bible is true
The Bible is well known to be the true word of God for a reason. I advise you to study more before you talk about something you hardly know.
@@danieldezmeu8 Do you know how many religions have holy books and think that all other religions are the false ones? Do you know how ridiculous of a claim that is? Everyone's god is the "one true god", it just depends on what culture you were indoctrinated with.

I went to a Christian Elementary school growing up- and we still actually learned a lot of these.
I was taught these stories as a kid. I’m surprised that people finds these shocking
I have heard that Split the Child in Two story before, but for some reason I always thought it was Hammurabi. Glad to finally get this corrected.
This channel has a crazy range of interesting topics.
I grew up in a Baptist family in Ohio. None of these stories were hidden by my church. I heard them all.
Ayooo i love this channel
I'm in the Lutheran church, none of these are hidden. Take about deception. Seriously, most first year catechism students know these. What blows my mind is how few Christians know 1 Peter 3:21.
Ya the Lutheran church doesn’t really hide anything in the scriptures. The church DOES, however, keep silent on Luther’s polemics against the Jews and unofficial sanctioning of polygamy. Didn’t find out about that until reading Wikipedia as an adult
The church has hidden all kinds stuff you really have no clue what your talking about I could only imagine the things they still hide
Growing up in Sunday school non of the stories was hidden front us especially the one of King Solomon. Yes I must say the book of revelations really gives me chills every time I read it
We actually acted a play on the dry bones in church. Good old days😁
The last one was actually a vision
Bible is a true statement about everything that is happening now
Probably clicked faster than I should have..
Same here 😄
That "Party King Herod threw was his to celebrate his Birth. The Bible makes direct reference to only two birthday celebrations, those of Pharaoh of Egypt (18th century B.C.E.) and Herod Antipas (1st century C.E.). These two accounts are similar in that both occasions were marked with great feasting and granting of favors; both are remembered for executions, the beheading of Pharaoh’s chief baker in the first instance, the beheading of John the Baptizer in the latter.-Ge 40:18-22; 41:13; Mt 14:6-11; Mr 6:21-28.

Would anyone else be interested in a gritty bible show? That’s something I’ve always wanted to see
The majority of those stories I have read and actually remember. It's those that didn't wind up being left in the Bible that I didn't recall seeing.
9:03 The way the angels were playing the trumpets had me dying of laughter!
Fun fact: King Herod did not say, "...son of God", he said, _"...son of a ♀️ 🐶"_
😂
King Solomon wisdom story was actually told as it is, to this day it's still a great lesson we learned as kids in Bible studies.
So many people in the comments saying this wasn’t hidden from them growing up and STILL believe all of these stories are not only true (mainly talking about the supernatural parts because of course people tortured and harmed by others back then), but are justified because people a long time ago said so.
Bro@2:00 The king cried to the lord and prayed for deliverance
I remember seeing a history Channel episode about lot, when my family and I were on vacation in Hawaii
Man that was one trip I didn't expect to ever hear this story again
My Sunday School class definitely told us about that story that Solomon and about the death of John the Baptist

It won’t be hidden if you just read the bible
~ It is well known that a person that has committed suicide & has hung their self will bloat & explode if left unattended, under the appropriate conditions.
So it happened to Judas who noone would dare touch, for cursed fear, so he hanged, unattended, bloating until he exploded.
Because he hanged in an area which was very warm, which accelerated not only his decomposition, but had also mummified his skin more quickly than his inerts, so after a while his inerts built up so much pressure that he exploded.
The cutting of the baby in half threat is one of the most covered tales from the bible lol what?
God Bless everyone!!!! Jesus Loves you all very much!!!!
I got really into the bible when I was nine and read the whole thing in a couple of years. I found it horrific and didnt want anything to do with the Christian God and the bible after this. My mother still made me to go to Sunday school and only allowed me to stop going when I was twelve. My Sunday school teachers could never answer my questions on the bible. I'm not going to worship anything which is violent
Pp
Unfortunately, you are apparently pessimistically focusing on the fallen world rather than the Lord, His great love for us, His sacrifice for us on the Cross, and the gifts of the Spirit. I'm sure Satan loves that.

This gives bible stories a whole different turn
The verses presented here are really scary if read alone. This is why reading the Bible in the right context is essential. We do not just read the verses singly otherwise, we will be lead astray and will result in a different meaning.
What context is there for Murdering Children?
@@thepanda1044 Your mind must be dull
@@NBA0 Your choice not to answer the question has been noted.
@@Alverant Another dull mind
As you can see, the Bible just showed the ways of people before but not necessarily encourage people to do the same in this modern age. I hope this somehow made my point clearer.
I knew a few of these stories but the one with lot always stuck with me since I heard it
