Val is a great addition to MotoGP, but it will be tough to keep him with Yamaha when the newer kids are getting faster and faster. Still, he's a great ambassador for Yamaha and I think aslong as they have a championship contender like Lorenzo; they can afford to keep Rossi as well, for their marketing
I was excited when simoncelli came on the scene, as a he is sadly gone, marquez is a shining light on what is basically a bunch of boring riders (except rossi and crutchlow) , pedrosa rarely fights or takes risks, thats why he never wins championships despite qualifying in top row most of the time, lorenzo is getting better, more relaxed, which is good.
I dont mean that, not because he is finishing behind anyone at all, i just think his celebrations are very pretentious, while if stoner, lorenzo, pedrosa ect do anything of the sort or utter any comment against anyone they are immediatly shot down while rossi is able to walk around the paddock and say things he probably shouldnt and every other rider is put on the side lines. People get SO offended if you say anything bad about Rossi. Rossi has been an amazing rider, some great races like i say, different people will determine his celebrations and comments differently, im english, most people here think its too far, not all but most, maybe the italians always act that over the top when they do well. But you never know, maybe Ducati will come up with the solutions over the winter.. somehow i dont think it will be that simple.. maybe a huge rule change in the future might give them the chance to level themselves out with the rest. They may have suzuki to fight with anyway.
