Ive known 5FDP for a while and just discovered Bad Wolves, but i havent heard about that story before. How did Bad Wolves help Death Punch finish their tour?
Ivan had a breakdown and had to head home and seek help with his addictions problems, so instead of cancel the show they let Tommy be the Lead Singer for Five Finger Death Punch. and tbh it sounded very good.
Tommy did very well. The internet sure seemed to hate it, but he did a damn fine job filling in.

Westfield Massacre/Bad Wolves/reunited God Forbid tour...this would be a dream tour for the ages. That being said, this song is a real banger, and of course all you could ask for: soaring strong vocals, great riffage (when you have Doc, do you really expect anything less), and the percussion holding it down in such detail. The drums pop in this song, and I love it. I really hope Bad Wolves becomes more than just a side project, because I can really see this going places!

I think it's great that you love Tim Yeung. Tim is a great player and an awesome friend. Unfortunately Tim was one the first who wanted to leave Westfield Massacre. We didn't fuck up. Not only did WFM get a record deal, but since then, Tommy, Bill, and I have separately toured the world multiple times with world renowned rock & metal acts. For what it's worth to you, we all enjoyed playing in a band with Tim, I promise you that \m/

Just saw these guys last night, and damn do they put on a show! I wish I had a quarter of the energy that Tommy Vext has.....he puts his all into the music, and think they'll be around for a while. I was impressed.
My expectations were hi considering the band members & you guys surpassed them with ease! I can't wait to hear the rest
I have to say, Metalcore is actually getting serious now. The genre is finally developing into something viable and bands really are taking things to the next level. Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying laid the foundation for the genre and now we have one hell of a revolution. Never really supported the genre until now.
I can see your point of view, but I don't think that it's never been serious. The issue with metalcore is that so many bands went into that style having no real sense of knowing how to put together a true song (riff structure, melody, etc.). They just tuned low and wrote breakdowns in hopes that something clicked. Bands like KsE, AILD, God Forbid and Shadows Fall set the bar for how to truly mix metal and hardcore and do it efficiently without sounding stale. And take a look at this lineup. Doc Coyle is from God Forbid. John Boecklin is from Devildriver, one of the founding fathers of groove metal. Tommy Vext worked with Dino Cazares in Divine Heresy, and Dino is considered the master of the "shotgun" style of riffage that you can hear clearly in this song. This is a band of veterans that know how to write a real song and not only make it heavy as fuck, but catchy too.

The production on this is insane. I also find it very amusing to see all these (what I would call) "Early 2000s famed Roadrunner artists" jumping on the djent sound trend. Because Roadrunner was the label pushing out all the top metal acts in the metal scene during that time, no one can even deny that. I dont say this as a diss at all, just more as an observation.

Closure is definitely one of my favorites from Devine Heresy's first album, alongside failed creation and this threat is real. Tommy is one of the best vocalists in my opinion

If you like the crisp drums and guitar work, as you called them, check out After the Burial (if you don't already know them). They have no clean vocals though. However, the distorted staccato instrumental pattern is something they've done for years, and honestly, it's perfectly executed.
Huge [old] Divine Heresy fan though. Love Tommy's work, and in no way am I intending to discredit this band.
