    I, OTOH, think that infect is the best mechanic there is. I want nothing more than just to count to 10. I love the insidiousness of it.

    Immediately agreed, if i could never play against infect again or draw the perfect 7 every game, I'd choose to delete infect

    Overall fun game to watch. Bj looks like its a deck I would refuse to play one on one. Does not look fun to verse.

    infect should go to 20 counters to lose in EDH. Its only fair.

      It really shouldn’t. In a world where a player can win a game of commander by performing a 2 card combo, why are people hating the strategy that needs to inflict 30 poison counters to win?

      @@Skyfysh Its simple really. If i am playing aggro with no two turn instant win combos, I personally detest things like that being a casual player, I have to deal 40 damage to the infect player to win while they only have to hit me with ten counters. If its multi player I have to do 120 damage to win while they only have to inflict 30 infect counters. One on one or four man the infect player has a massive advantage compared to the other players. If the infect is in a cedh game with many two card combos present in the other decks then sure fine cedh play whatever you want.
      Another reason is simply due to the fact proliferate exists. When infect came out proliferate did not exist and you had to earn getting those infect counters on others by hitting them with creatures. Now you have cards that just give a poison counter for free and can proliferate them with ease. A counter that gives instant loss if a number is reached should never be able to be proliferated or just given to a person freely. So thats another reason right there proliferate spells and other cards like the obnoxious commander atraxa, forgive spelling but the one that freely proliferates by existing, make it painfully easy to just tick the counters up with your opponent having little they can do back. Also want to point out another advantage being that you generally can not remove poison counters while one can simply gain life back if they want to making even more of a advantage. Those are some of the main reasons I have in thinking it should be 20 poison counters. At the end of the day as a non poison/infect user that likes aggro the damage I need to deal out doubled while for the infect player it stayed the same. Just seems unfair.
      One of the reasons for the hate overall is the lack of interactivity. Again you can just be given a poison counter and no real way to remove it. Then given more by a person just running proliferate cards upping the count while you can do nothing about it.

      @@Skyfysh Before proliferate and so on existed I was in the same opinion of keeping infect to ten but once you could just give a person a poison counter and proliferate easily my opinion changed. If they had kept it so you had to deal damage with a infect creature earning those counters on your opponent then sure but with the ability to just proliferate them and so on yea no longer see it that way.

      @@aclevername7613 The lack of interactivity could also be said for a combo player if their opponents aren’t using blue, there’s no way for them to interact. You also have to consider that in a games of commander, if one player is running poison, the other two players are usually dealing regular damage. This means you have two other players contributing to the 120 damage you need to deal, where the infect player is alone in having to deal 30 counters. I get that proliferate is a thing to consider, but it’s not nearly prevalent enough to increase poison required to 20. All that would do is force anyone wanting to play poison to play Atraxa, which would be terrible for everyone.
