    I picked up an inflatable boat off Amazon for around 100 bucks. That plus a life jacket. I can air up the boat with a leaf blower in seconds. It's a must have in the RC boat hobby to rescue your boat.

      Very smart idea. I was just looking at inflatable boats! So I can always go out and retrieve it

    As someone who has owned a Spartan for years now. Always use waterproof hatch tape or electrical tape to tap down the hatch. The body pin is not enough. I remove the pin altogether plug the hole and seal the hatch every time. They blow off in crashes and sink. Also, glue foam under the hatch. So if it does blow off it will float. I have yet to sink it or have a hatch blow off when I tape it. Also if you change the stock motor to a 3876 1950kv outrunner BL motor and seal the hatch she will be Self-righting from the torque of the Outrunner motor. You also have to put a little extra weight on the left side and use the trim tabs to keep it level at high speed. It doesn't hurt the performance. It is actually faster.

    Nascar is left turns, Boats are meant for right turns. You know that a kayak is a must! I’m not going in after it if it doesn’t self right. Glad you got it back though!

    Launch from Shore where Winds in your face , Fishing Rod 20 lbs test & a floating solid rubber Dogs toy for distance or Tennys ball for shorter casts. No Swimming in ANY Fresh Water while in Fla where we get Lizards in the Pool regularly. Cheap used Kajak & it ill be ok. They are addicting .

    I flipped my spartan in that same lake by myself years ago. Had to wait 4 hours before it got close enough to the shore for me to wade out and get the boat. Hated that traxxas boat. So unstable and crazy thermal issues.

    Number 1... I repeat *NUMBER 1* reason I've never ventured into boats or planes. As I told a guy at my local boat dock "If a car malfunctions you just walk over & pick it up. A boat or plane malfunctions you either gotta get very creative or someone's gotta get wet" 🤓

      @@cacanjacowans540 If it flips upside-down when you crash, it will automatically flip itself right-side-up, and you keep going...simple. And, before you ask, "What is the hatch comes off", know that, if it's properly taped on (the tape used to for the Zonda hatch in this video isn't 'proper' tape), it shouldn't come off. 'Proper' tape would be plastic "hockey" tape. Alternately, boats having a well-designed "screw hold" hatch, such as the ProBoat SonicWake...tho, even with my SonicWake, I still use tape. Check out some videos for the SonicWake...especially the newer (ie. released approx 2 years ago) SonicWake V2. The SonicWake is a 36" self-righting RC Boat.

      @@ninthislandrc Exactly I only had to retrieve my boats twice when I was new at it. I learned my lesson. Especially since we have huge gators in our RC boat lake. I will not swin. Not only that. RC boat ponds and lakes are always muddy on the bottom like quicksand because of sucks and geese poop. People have drowned over the years retrieving their RC boats. Trying to swim with an RC boat in one arm is hard and can exhaust even the most seaned swimmer. I swim in the Ocean which is fine when you are not hanging onto an RC boat. Hockey Tape is a must. eBay sells big rolls. The Traxxas Spartan was always a bad design. I put a big 1950 KV Outrunner in mine and would run a 4s on one side and a 2s on the other side. With the hatched taped down and sealed it will Self Right from the torque of the Outrunner motor and the battery imbalance. You just have to adjust the trim tabs to get it level. The spartan has a major tendency to chine walk and crash. They now have the Spartan SR. Still, the same bad behaviors just self-right itself out of the box, lol.

      @ninthislandrc 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FarmerFpv Exactly...agreed 100% about the Spartan (og & SR). That's why, for people new to RC boating, and for those who want something larger than a "pool boat", I always recommend the SonicWake. Personally, I own two...plus, I bought a V2 for my stepdad.

    Going to need a bigger boat. On the flip side, The RC HPR-233 twin cat has sparked some interest into the RC hobby. Looking at building a hull around 2 meters for Ocean Off Shore play. The best platforms seen to date are from Safe Haven Marine th-cam.com/video/BAZ5ZkCXW1M/w-d-xo.html prototype scale models.

    you spend thousands of dollars on Rc stuff, you have a battery line, and you don't have a recover boat? Your not that serious about RC. I have 4, M41 boats, and will not take them out until I have a recovery boat. That is really smart, and great planning, LOL!!!!!

      Man relaxx we had fun! Next time we will be further prepared for what comes. This was literally the first time running boats, we learn from what goes wrong. I can tell you anything about anything about cars, boats on the other hand? I have a lot of learning to do!

      @InnovationRC dude relax yourself, their are several videos out. The main thing the strongly suggested was have a recovery method. I thought you were smart enough to know this. I'm sure you had fun. But all that knowledge you have, and nothing said I need something if my boat flips, 😆 🤣 😂. OK Boss.

      @@JasonGunn418 Have you ever been excited to do something new and you don't think of the negative repercussions (if) anything bad happens? Well I was excited to do this. Who cares if I could retrieve the boat. What matters is in the next batch of boat videos you will see a gradual increase of everything to be successful with the boats. At the end of the day, if I don't learn from previous mistakes, expecting a different result, that would be called insanity!

      @@InnovationRC Yes, I have been excited to do many things, such as jump out of a plane when I was in the military. I made sure I was trained and knew what do do if my chute did not deploy. I was trained by the top experts in that program. I have also been excited to be a part of a nuclear warhead team and learn from the top trainers in the world on how to protect myself during bunker inspections. Yes, I have been excited to get into RC on several different levels. I did in fact purchase 4 M41 boats, and was trained to have a recover boat just incase i had a mine flipped over in the water by some of the top experts in the game. So I actually can look at this experience you just had for the first time and know that you did not take the time to learn from an expert to have a recovery boat, just incase. You have auto insurance for a reason. That is to protect your assets from harm from yourself as well as others. Doesn't mean your going to use it everytime you're out enjoying it, but it is their if you need it. So to answer your question again Yes, I have been very excited to do things I had never done in life. But I do my research to see what could happen and get prepared for it before I do it.
