Thanks for the video... how's the car now? any transmission related issues after the install? and did you replace the clutch sets/friction materials too, or was it just the bushing set?. i'm guessing you had a transmission slip clutch E Monitoring or similar. thanks again for taking the time to upload and respond. all the best.
Hello, thank you so much for your videos. I was wondering if you could help me. I recently changed the solenoids, sealing sleeves, and the bridge seal, now the only thing that works is the reverse. I have INPA software and the 4f81 code is coming up. I hear a rattling sound form the transmission sometimes it will catch for a second to go forward, and it will sometimes pull forward in manual mode 2nd and 6th just a little, enough to kinda pull back into the garage but it even stopped doing that.
Man this is a tough one. Sounds like the A clutch is not engaging. Let me ask you this, why did you replace the solenoids and seals? Was it because you were trying to fix a problem? Or was it a preventative measure? Solenoids are not all the same, and are not interchangeable. Most of them are not actually solenoids, but rather flow control valves. They actually modulate flow with a current signal. Another important factor in this, is did you buy OEM replacements? Some aftermarket stuff is complete trash. Not saying that's your issue, but may be the problem.
@@olko3418 It had that hard down shift from 2 to 1 but actually that didn't start until I put that Transmax fluid in, it wasn't doing that before so......But I immdeiatliy went and bought the Pentosin ATF but it still did the same thing. so I ordered the kit for the soleniods and the sleezes. Im thinking that they may have sent me the wrong sleeve kit, what do you think? I wish I had kept my old sleeves I still have the solenoids but not the sleeves. One tested bad on the Ohm testing but I didn't notice it before when I was driving. The first time I noticed I had a problem was when I stopped at a stop sign and I went to press the gas and it didn't engage but it caught and I drive home in limp mode. That is so amazing that you took this job on to rebuild your transmission. I was just going to buy a used one and just swap it out but now I want to rebuild it if I can't get it to work. I have rebuilt and Rx7 and I 4 cylinder motor before but I felt like transmissions were out of my league . But after watching you, you inspired me to rebuild mine. I called one Transmission place and they said don't even mess with BMW transmissions which is just really funny to me. I really love this car, it's most awesome car I ever had.
Oh yeah, trust me I learned a lot. It was a first time I've ever been inside the transmission. It was garbage, so if I ruined it, no big loss. In the last video, I did say that one thing I learned is to get the right tool to remove bushings. But the whole project eventually ended up successful
@@MrTurboDima if you use a hummer and brut force, most likely you'll ruin the surfaces- that's not the right way to remove those ! then, bushings do not spin usually, they become loose and wear even faster. the result is oil pressure loss in clutch packs, jerky drive, more mechanical damage - this is the main problem.

You need to use the right tool.
Definitely. Next time I will get a bushing removal tool.
Arbor press too, for proper bushing installation.
Please I want a book that explains the parts of this gearbox
Wish I had one. I just took it apart, and put it back the same way as it came out. Nothing to worry about. Everything fits only in one direction.
@@olko3418 thank you
hi teacher
🙈🙈🙈
very bad ! chances are you'd break the stator or scratch it at least. Don't do this ever.

you mean a clutch bushings will spun and destroy stator?
@MrTurboDima I'm not sure what you mean. Clutches don't have any bushings. The stator bushing, if worn, will destroy the stator, because it's wobbly

@@olko3418 there is two bushings on clutch drum a that you replaced on video. if they are to tight they may stuck and destroy stator
Do you have a phone number I need to rebuild my 2007 bmw 650i rwd
