Was told the cart needs a new controller and a new motor with new battery cables. The shop forgot to mention that 2 batteries are Ok, 3 are bad, and 1 battery is so so....

Fix Limp mode and get my high gears back
My 2018 less than 49000 miles how how it’s sad
To me.it sounds like a bad controller. It's the controller that does the checks, and controls the solenoid. Check all the fuses
Top
Mine doesn’t click when I hit the tow/run switch. When I run a ground to the solenoid it will click but the cart won’t move.
Just put new female spade terminals on them? Or... resolder them after cleaning the contacts up with sandpaper or wire brush. Simple. A lot cheaper than a new pump assembly too
@user-sp5bn6ye8y I have considered that, and if it was my car, I would have probably done that, but then I would take the risk of having to redo it, if it didn't work. I did this job for a someone else, so I have guarantee a repair. It's still much cheaper than going to a dealer, or what a repair shop would have charged.
where are the fuses? im having the same issue with my cart , this video is very informative BTW , thanks
@davidrondeau1770 the fuses are in the harness. It's not like a box that you would normally see in a car. Just follow the harness, and will see some rubber caps. The fuses are under those caps
@@olko3418how many are there ?
very bad ! chances are you'd break the stator or scratch it at least. Don't do this ever.
Oh yeah, trust me I learned a lot. It was a first time I've ever been inside the transmission. It was garbage, so if I ruined it, no big loss. In the last video, I did say that one thing I learned is to get the right tool to remove bushings. But the whole project eventually ended up successful
you mean a clutch bushings will spun and destroy stator?
@MrTurboDima I'm not sure what you mean. Clutches don't have any bushings. The stator bushing, if worn, will destroy the stator, because it's wobbly
@@MrTurboDima if you use a hummer and brut force, most likely you'll ruin the surfaces- that's not the right way to remove those ! then, bushings do not spin usually, they become loose and wear even faster. the result is oil pressure loss in clutch packs, jerky drive, more mechanical damage - this is the main problem.
@@olko3418 there is two bushings on clutch drum a that you replaced on video. if they are to tight they may stuck and destroy stator
Hey Olko, is it you that I was reading some stuff from you on Bimmerpost? If so I would like to speak with you regarding the 6hp/21. I have just acquired a brand new PD upgraded clutch kit and have some questions
Do you have a phone number I need to rebuild my 2007 bmw 650i rwd
Did changing it fix your issues?
Yes. As good as new
How much u paid fr the new one Nissan wants $750😢😢😢😢
@3:15 That play in the input shaft, was it completely taken care by replacing bushings or did you replace bearings as well? I thought I saw in your other vids that the play was almost all gone? Mine is like that too 😅
It's all in the bushings
I have the same problem. Delar told me Fuel Pump Temperature Sensor fault. You need to change the pump. Where can I find it?
Find what, the pump? Try the store, dealer online.
Hello - interesting video - how did you identify that these bronze bushes were the problem ? did any of the fault codes point to this ? barry uk
I was only able to determine by measuring how much play it had
You changed all of the clutches as well as the bushing?
Yes. The clutches were only $100, if you go that far, might as well
Good job, is there any problems, after some time?
Not with transmission, it runs good. Other problems are around the engine, timing guides, things like that
Thanks for the video... how's the car now? any transmission related issues after the install? and did you replace the clutch sets/friction materials too, or was it just the bushing set?. i'm guessing you had a transmission slip clutch E Monitoring or similar. thanks again for taking the time to upload and respond. all the best.
Great video series! The 6HP28 in my Land Rover LR4 is giving me the same slip/flare on the 3-4 shift. It was major slipping (with code) when I was towing my trailer and just the flare without the trailer. I'm certain my stator bushing is worn, just not to the extent yours was. Did you have any reference material when reassembling the trans to guide you on putting it back together?
Hi dear.. Thanks for videos ..I have quick question I have zf6hp26 it was slipping 2-3 and 3-4 for seconds so I have changed the bridge seals and actuators new fluid adaptation cleared .The car shift fine except 3rd gear feel shifttig two time like it shift in to 3 the rpm remain little up for few second then reduce again no slipping ...no codes .. Any advice Thanks
Hi, it still sounds like hydraulic pressure problem. It can come from several places; the valve body valves are worn; the ring seals/bushings on shaft are worn; or a piston problem, that it's leaking. When you changed the bridge seal, did you also change the three long seals next to it?
Was the play gone on the input shaft that you demonstrated in your first video after the rebuild was finished?
Yes, that was the root cause of the problem. Worn bushings. That one main bushing on the stator probably takes the most abuse. For a quick fix, I could have probably gotten away with replacing just the one bushing, but since the transmission was out its easy enough to replace the rest of them and the clutches.
@@olko3418 thank you
Please I want a book that explains the parts of this gearbox
Wish I had one. I just took it apart, and put it back the same way as it came out. Nothing to worry about. Everything fits only in one direction.
@@olko3418 thank you
Great videos! Im planning to do the rebuild myself too. What fault codes did you get? And did you replace the clutch packs also?
Hi. Yes, I replaced the clutch packs as well. They are pretty cheap, Like 120 dollars. It's been about two years, so I don't remember the exact code, but it had something to do with "turbine speed"
How long did the entire job take? Looking to do this, but need to borrow some garage space :l
Two days. Was going slow. My first rebuild
Hello, thank you so much for your videos. I was wondering if you could help me. I recently changed the solenoids, sealing sleeves, and the bridge seal, now the only thing that works is the reverse. I have INPA software and the 4f81 code is coming up. I hear a rattling sound form the transmission sometimes it will catch for a second to go forward, and it will sometimes pull forward in manual mode 2nd and 6th just a little, enough to kinda pull back into the garage but it even stopped doing that.
Man this is a tough one. Sounds like the A clutch is not engaging. Let me ask you this, why did you replace the solenoids and seals? Was it because you were trying to fix a problem? Or was it a preventative measure? Solenoids are not all the same, and are not interchangeable. Most of them are not actually solenoids, but rather flow control valves. They actually modulate flow with a current signal. Another important factor in this, is did you buy OEM replacements? Some aftermarket stuff is complete trash. Not saying that's your issue, but may be the problem.
@@olko3418 It had that hard down shift from 2 to 1 but actually that didn't start until I put that Transmax fluid in, it wasn't doing that before so......But I immdeiatliy went and bought the Pentosin ATF but it still did the same thing. so I ordered the kit for the soleniods and the sleezes. Im thinking that they may have sent me the wrong sleeve kit, what do you think? I wish I had kept my old sleeves I still have the solenoids but not the sleeves. One tested bad on the Ohm testing but I didn't notice it before when I was driving. The first time I noticed I had a problem was when I stopped at a stop sign and I went to press the gas and it didn't engage but it caught and I drive home in limp mode. That is so amazing that you took this job on to rebuild your transmission. I was just going to buy a used one and just swap it out but now I want to rebuild it if I can't get it to work. I have rebuilt and Rx7 and I 4 cylinder motor before but I felt like transmissions were out of my league . But after watching you, you inspired me to rebuild mine. I called one Transmission place and they said don't even mess with BMW transmissions which is just really funny to me. I really love this car, it's most awesome car I ever had.
🙈🙈🙈
Hi great vidéo, how did you prime the oil in the gearbox?
It was a very unfriendly situation! Lift the car up, and make sure its level. Towards the rear back there is a fill plug on the side. First, if intemeber, only three liters went in, then when it starts to overflow. Start the car, the pump will suck the fluid in, and then keep adding more, about two liters, until it starts overflowing, while the car is running. Wear gloves. The fill plug is next to exhaust pipe, and it gets hot very fast. I used a hand pump with a hose.
@@olko3418 how many liters in total did you put in?
@@brahim55 I wish I remember. It was long time ago, but I think it was more than five. Probably close to 8. You can look up in a manual what is the capacity of the whole transmission. If you're gonna take the transmission out anyways, I would drain as much oil from the torque converter as possible. The torque converter probably holds close to 3 liters.
hello , do you change le solenoid's?
I did not. I think someone had installed a rebuilt valve body hoping it would fix the problem. Since the valve body looked good, I didn't bother, because I had no way of knowing if the solenoids were new or old.
You need to use the right tool.
Definitely. Next time I will get a bushing removal tool.
Arbor press too, for proper bushing installation.
hi teacher
I have a 2010 550i m sport with the zf6hp28. Pulling the engine and transmission out together this weekend. I need to do the whole transmission and the valve seals on the engine. Will be fun.
Props to you man. I have one of these I love it. I gotta rebuild it! 😭🏎💨
Yes. This thing drives so good. You will be happy you did it
where did you get the parts from i need an trans rebuild
Got them online at different places. The bushing kit is from Sonnax. I don't think you can get OEM. The clutches and rubber Orings I got from ebay.
Have you done the O rings ? Or only bushings?
I only did the bushings. I did replace one oring, it was only for the stator housing.
Hallo there WhatsApp with the Mechatronik rebuild ? :)
Nice work, how many miles have you driven since the repair?
About 2k. Then I sold it, and exactly the same one but a manual 6 speed
you still got that input shaft freeplay after you done the bushs?
No, its all gone
What’s up brotha, I’m having issue with the gears when shifting into 4th, it jumps right back to 3rd a few consecutive time and goes into safe/limp mode. And then after, the car will drive and just stay at 3rd... This is a 2005 Bentley Continental Gt but it has the bmw mechatronic type transmission. Let me know what you think please...any response will be appreciated!
Nice video. How much it cost for a trasmission rebuild?
About $250. 100 for clutch pack, 100 for bushings, and the standard seals for valve body (bridge seal, and other o-rings)
@@olko3418 ah ok thank you
@@denisovanhybrid9610 yes, all clutches replaced. If I remember right, it was $120 for all clutch packs. It was a kit. There were two more clutches in the kit for one of the drums, can't remember which, because I think its a kit that covers a few transmission options. I just went back with same amount of clutches for each drum, as original setup had.
@@denisovanhybrid9610 bought it on eBay. Don't remember the brand. Just search for clutch pack for zf6hp
Did this solve you problems?
Yes. The bushings were the problem. I also changed the clutch packs since I was in there. I will post a video of how it drove, after the rebuild. Also, the "clunk" is now gone when engine shuts off.
