- Part 2 continues our in-depth tour to the upper deck and looks at the track arrangement and control panels. We follow a freight from Portland through Crawford Notch, to St. Johnsbury. The tour will be completed in Part 3.
Really enjoying your video series. Very interesting track plan. I've been a model railroader for 35 years and still fascinated with the hobby. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much!
Awesome... A real pleasure to watch it.

Thank you for the kind comments!
super super nice and detailed layout here. beautiful track work and scenery.
Thank you very much!
Excellent video! The music was a very nice addition
Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you like the music, as there is more where that came from, as a complete song with lyrics and all, which will be featured as it's own video. Song is done, but the video is still in the planning!
Mr. Smith from N-Scale Union Pacific Evanston Subdivision sent me over. New sub.
Roy did a great shout out for me, and I very much appreciate that, and the new viewers it has sent my way. We do have some wonderful people in this hobby!
I'm following along, my friend. I absolutely love your beautiful layout. ...Roy
Glad you like it! Part 3 is ready and will post in a few days.
Incredible layout and of special interest since I grew up in NH and moved to Maine in retirement. But most interesting, because my family came from Brownfield Me which was serviced by the Portland and Ogdensburg. I have a rail freight bill for a shipment of eggs from great grandfather's store in Brownfield to Bartlett NH, 1899. What got you interest in this RR?
Very cool! I grew up in New Gloucester, Maine, and both the Grand Trunk and Maine Central tracks crossed our farm. Very few are even aware of the P&O, but seemed to me to be a perfect candidate for a model RR!
This layout continues to impress, truly a masterpiece and great use of a difficult space. You caught my attention when you said the woodshop is on a 4 post lift - definitely want to know more about that!
Thank you so much! The woodshop-on-a-lift project has worked very well for me. I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate that into a railroad video! I suppose Happy Hobo could do a woodworking issue?
Great tour. How large is your layout room? Thanks for sharing. Dave
Thank you. The layout room is about 19' by 23'.
