Check out tres rios. There is parking next to phoenix international raceway. Its called handicap parking on google maps. Lots of big fish if you walk a little bit
Hey man, great stuff! I lived in central PHX for many years and was just back over the holidays, where I went after carp on a fly. I am excited to come back and do some urban fishing! New sub for ya!
Hey @southwestFishing, love the videos, keep up the good work! Hope we get to see you in some tournaments soon. Curious, which canals, and street crossings are the ones where you've had more luck? I've tried all over Tempe and Mesa, no luck. Have been to Tempe Town Lake, I gotta say about 6 times, have only caught one lil bass there.
You should try tres Rios wetlands i think you would like it👍
I’ll give it a shot!
Gnarly bro! Good stuff.
Thank you 🤙
Anytime bro!
That craw is so money
It slays!
Gotta know your fish if you want to have a fishing channel. Those are green sunfish not warmouth.
😂😂😂 not true but okay. Most successful channels don’t all know every specie of fish. Mr MD
Great vid guys loved it watching from Fontana California
Thank you! I appreciate it! Tight lines!
great what you did with those fish the best of the best
I couldn’t let them dry up and die neither of us could
@@SouthwestFishing brother, I would like to fish with you, can you?
You should try the Papago ponds by the Phoenix zoo! Awesome video, congratulations on the new species!
Will do! Thank you I appreciate it!
Papago is a good spot I got a 15 lb catfish about 2 weeks ago.
For those smaller fish I try using some split shot to get under that vegetation. I use mill worms on the hook
I should’ve came better prepared, but we will be next time!
Great video in an unusual area which can definitely hold fish. There are several areas down the Salt like this scattered about.

@@SouthwestFishing let's go out when I get back to town!
Why doesn’t he ever post where the fishing spot is?
Those bass stuck in that skinny water are lucky the birds didn't get them. Nice job on the rescue!
I surprised no animals got them too, and thank you!
I grew up next to the river bottom. Where is this? I never seen this pond.
Off 16th st
Green sunfish. Not warmouth
My bad! They are so similar!
I want to go fishing with you, maybe on Saturday? or any day you say I live in mesa az
Same here. Would be awesome, would definately learn alot
I unfortunately work on the weekends but maybe we can find some time during the week for a couple hours.
Is the salt river below Tempe town lake dam allowed to be fished? East if McClintock it can’t be and I wasn’t sure about this section
That park is the Rez I believe
Can be done.
But, …..
Kayak is the way. But, be stealth, and don’t fish dirty, just in case…..
Where is this at?
South Phoenix where the salt runs through
