@@ianhagler3678 Hey there Ian, I'd like to know how much power he kicks out he's always one of the first stations I hear when the skip rolls in.. im good thanks and hope you are in good health my friend.
@@GeorgeEI7KO Hi George, I've said it before and I'll say it again I cannot thank you enough, when the Stryker went down I was gutted, it felt like any other radio in my collection just wasn't good enough, these Mark 1's work so we'll on AM and SSB, not by a long chalk but whatever it is about them in comparison to most modern day radios they certainly perform superb, im still fine tuning the sharpshooter microphone for that sweet spot.. but she's back in the shack all thanks to you my friend.. As I said before it would have remained in the box forever because finding a competent enough technician I could trust with it was almost impossible, so I am pleased I asked you on the off chance you were still fixing radios, You are a wizard and I give you high praise for your talents, you are the best and second to none my friend, bless you and your family and thank you most sincerely for taking on my radio, best wishes 73
@@DeltaXray444 that's for the kind words. I'm no expert. Was just an easy fix. My main thing is making them look new again. I have a very detailed eye. Even more detailed now I got me fist ever pair of specs 👓
George sure is the man to sort the radios he got my old mk2 148 looking and working like new .0737 is at the top of the pile to me here in scotland and mario the preacher man
@@technic7762 Oh yes they are always hitting me before most stations also Mr Jim 813 Georgia and Paul NB63.. Was that you mrk2 148 on his channel ? When my Stryker blew I put it back in the box never to be used again.. I thought George had stopped fixing radios last year and I asked him on the off chance if he would do it.. I was let's say ecstatic when he said yes.. he's a very good technician one of the best.. and that secret sauce he uses is something else lol.
@@DeltaXray444 Yea that is my mk2 148 what is on his channel .I was the same ecstatic when he said he would do it and was over the moon with work he done to it.The radio works fantastic and that secret sauce lol sure is something else the old 148 looks brandnew.
@@technic7762 I agree with that secret sauce, George sure made something there that makes radios shine better than a new rig from the factory lol.. I went back and watched the 148 video a couple of times and if you are as happy as I am with the Stryker I definitely know how elated you feel.. the man is a wizard for sure and treats our radios like they were his own, a genius technician beyond compare. Thanks friend 73.
